I cannot recommend highly enough choosing The Kempinski Jakarta for your quarantine stay on arrival into Indonesia. The food was especially fantastic and changed every day. The staff were exceptional, thoughtful and very attentive. I had friends choose the cheaper stays and were so sorry they did so I recommend spending an extra $100 per night it is absolutely worth it. Of course I want to go back when I can use all of the facilities, upon checking out I perused the gym and spa and they are both as impressive. Overall my 5 day experience was 5 star cocooned in luxury.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kempinski Hotel Jakarta during my trip to the vibrant capital city of Indonesia, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered the grand lobby to the minute I checked out, every aspect of my stay was absolutely delightful. First and foremost, the hotel's luxurious ambiance is simply breathtaking. The attention to detail in the interior design, with its elegant furnishings and tasteful decor, creates an atmosphere of sophistication and refinement. Whether it was the lobby, the restaurants, or my room, every corner exuded an air of opulence that truly made me feel pampered. Speaking of my room, it was a haven of comfort and tranquility. The spaciousness, combined with the plush bedding and top-notch amenities, ensured a restful and rejuvenating stay. The attention to cleanliness was evident throughout, and the housekeeping staff maintained impeccable standards of tidiness.

It was a pleasure to stay at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta. Tips: To fully enjoy this hotel, you must stay in at least the Grand Deluxe room type. In the bathroom, you will find an oversized bathtub where you can relax while admiring the city view of Bundaran HI or watching TV (yes, there is a TV in the bathroom, and you can adjust its angle so you can watch it while soaking in relaxing warm bath). Except for the smoking rooms, all Grand Deluxe rooms were fully booked when I stayed there. So I upgraded to the Salon Suite room, and let me tell you, it was well worth it. The room is 85m2 in size and consists of two connecting rooms (1 king-size bed + 1 optional extra bed) with a city view (Bundaran HI), an in-room coffee capsule machine, a large smart LED TV, a separate toilet, an oversized bathtub, a working desk, and other amenities. I also informed the hotel that it was my anniversary, and I received anniversary room decor as well as a delicious complimentary anniversary cake. Breakfast at the Signature restaurant is excellent, with a wide variety of options and delectable foods and beverages. Breakfast should be eaten between 6 and 8 a.m. After that, the restaurant will be too crowded, especially on weekends and national holidays. There is a children's playground in the restaurant, so parents with children can let their children play there. Overall, we had a fantastic time at the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta. All the employees were helpful and friendly, and we hope that continues. We will definitely return for another staycation here. Cheers!

the price is very reasonable for my stay. the room is very spacious but the decoration are a bit hit and miss. the blind in the bathroom cannot be closed fully and leaves a gap of 10 cm which i feel is ridiculous. i did call the technician that says some rooms are like that. the aircon in the lobby is rather weak. the location is great if you dont consider the traffic. great view. breakfast was very good. service is rather strange. i did receive three emails from three different person reminding various incorrect details (wrong room type, undelivered promises, etc) My biggest annoyance, for a luxury 5 star hotel they still give out unbranded disposable soap and shampoo... why cant you just give a refillable branded pump?

Old but gold - an iconic hotel in Jakarta, strategically located next to Grand Indonesia. As a Titanium member, our room was upgraded to the Salon Suite on the executive lounge floor which was the last room along the long corridor. All is well because the suite offered an amazing direct view of Bundaran HI fountain! The suite had a classic charm with some quality of life features like a modern automated toilet. Lovely amenities were prepared in the room for our special occasion, which we felt almost over-the-top but we truly appreciated the gesture. The breakfast was impressive with high-quality food, including a unique whole honeycomb presentation. The staff was attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. Lastly, the hotel staff were very helpful with late checkout and sending food delivery items to the suite. Highly recommend Hotel Indonesia Kempinski to those looking for a classic 5-star hotel in central Jakarta, with direct access to one of the best malls.

The staff were friendly, the room was huge enough, and the oversized bathtub was the best. I asked for a high floor room and a complimentary cake for my birthday. They did give us a high floor and decorated the room for my birthday with balloons. However, they forgot to left us the cake in the room. But in the end, we made the call, and they gave us lots of cake instead! I also got a discount for room service and dine-in! The barcode given inside the key card wasn't working. I forgot to complain about this when I checked out. The breakfast is pretty good. Overall, I'm happy to celebrate my birthday in this hotel.

One of Jakarta’s Iconic hotel, location is strategic and very close to Jakarta’s best mall such as Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia which is on walking distance. The staff at lobby are polite and very helpful, at the reception desk it went very smooth and check in process was also fast. There is a connection to Grand Indonesia mall and some photos of Sukarno with Kennedy and I think Marilyn Monroe which was classy and historical. When we arrive at our floor there is hotel staff that helped and showed us our room which very thoughtful. Room is spacious and modern, lightning is sufficient and the bed was so soft. There is a modern rocking chair in the room but there is no small sofa which could be a great addition. Bathroom is classic but the toilet is modern and automated which is a great thing, I didn’t expect that. The bathtub is large enough so I don’t have any difficulty to find the perfect position for taking a warm bathtub time. Food at breakfast was excellent and high quality, we really enjoy the food and there the staff checking on us gradually to make sure we have everything our need during breakfast. The food was vary and surprisingly they have the entire honeycomb served at breakfast. When check out I got two Kempinski pens which was great and a wonderful souvenir. Looking forward to stay at Kempinski Jakarta again.

If you want to quarantine in this hotel, please note that the food is not that interesting. Rather tasteless if I may say. Maybe when you stay here normally you get better food/options, but when I did my quarantine there it was rather disappointing. The room was nice, lots of space and a nice view. You can't go out of your room during quarantine so can't say anything about the other (public) facilities. It is next to the Grand Indonesia mall, so when not in quarantine you can shop and eat there as well, many options and stores.

Im not gonna lie, the room and service was excellent until around 11.30pm our room starts leaking water from the ceiling. We called the reception right away. And waited 20mins until the engineer come to our room. Hes checking the leaking until past midnight, and he turned the ac off. I dont feel comfortable at all someone just come in to our room while im already in my night gown and couldnt sleep. My husband even had to ask to relocate us to another room. They didnt offer us to move to another room and their solution is to fix the leak however long it would take. Not even a word "sorry for the inconvenience" was heard. It is midnight and 00:30am housekeeping come to our room to clean our room. 00:38am finally they gave us key to another room so we have to repack our stuffs and bring it there then unpack again. What an unpleasant experience. Now (1am) just moved to the new room and then what? We haven't gotten any sleep and we have to check out in the morning. ZERO compensation what so ever. They never even say sorry. Very very very disappointing. Even a 2 or 3 star hotel WOULD move us right away to any available room if they're fixing the ceiling. But here in 5 star hotel they bring a ladder to your room, turned off your ac and just trying to fix it there even if its past midnight. Horrible experience. Restless night. So we are paying a grand deluxe room price for just a couple of hours of rest (they handed us the key to another room at 00:38 am). Not even a late check out was offered. I called reception to ask for management email cause I wanted to write a feedback, the reception staff told me to write to front desk instead, that I can not write to the management myself. A bit sus. So here I am writing a google review cause this is just unacceptable.

Been staying here multiple nights on various occasions, top notch service, very nice rooms and great food (had their breakfast, room service and dinner). Had Mr. Supri as our waiter one time during dinner and he went above and beyond to cater our requests, gave us complimentary appetizers and desserts because the food came a little later. Not that we were asking for complementary foods but his attentiveness was very much appreciated. You can enjoy their famous Bubur HI during breakfast buffet, so delicious! Overall the foods are consistently hight quality. The hotel has an entrance to Grand Indonesia Mall so it was really convenient. Another plus if you like to wander around in mall to get your A-Z done.

This hotel was opened in 1962. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet at signatures features all types of food from Indian, Indonesian food and American food. Convenient location attached to mall with great shop and restaurants. The rooms are huge and the amenities are plentiful highly recommended.

The Kempinski actually offers a day pass to access the pool, sauna and gym for around 20USD. This is a great deal. The rooftop has incredible views of the city and the amenities are top notch. I can strongly recommend it if you are looking for a place to relax for a day in Jakarta.

Staff generally are nice, but found some personnel were not at their best mood during meal times at the restaurant. Swimming pool is at the rooftop. Can be hot in the afternoon. No children entertainment in the hotel (playground, kids club, etc), but many can easily be found at the nearest shopping mall. Breakfast spread is really nice. They serve plenty variety of dishes including green juice and gelato! All in all, we had a pleasant stay, except for the encounter with the bad mood staff 😁

All lifts use access cards so it's safe to get the room according to the note. I have a very pleasant stay at Hotel Indonesia. I choose to stay there on Christmas weekend and surely it was one of the busiest time for them. But my check in went smoothly even though we have to wait until our room is ready. The staff also have a very good attention to detail: my mother take a pin out of the sewing kit and when they clean the room they really check all the amenities and replaced the pin on the same kit. For me, this really shown their experience as one of the oldest luxury hotel in Jakarta.

I love this hotel. Having a 5 star hotel background, service mechanics mean a lot to me. The entire staff is cheerful, attentive, interactive, proactive, and professional. At other hotels I stayed on this trip I experienced disappointments and frustrations as my requests were met with indifference or being directed elsewhere. However at this property every request becomes a mission. The staff works hard to create a positive guest experience and they are good at it. Food quality is excellent. The breakfast buffet goes on forever and has everything you can imagine and more. Nice gym with quality machines and free weights. The gym has a second floor with lots more equipment. Enjoying a cocktail by the side of their huge pool is as good as life gets and a great way to wrap up a vacation.

Probably one of the best hotels in Jakarta. But like everything else in Indonesia, "best" is still a bit off and strange compared to international standards. The main issue is that the hotel (and included shopping mall) architecture is *very* strange. It's basically a maze. To visit any specific location you will need to turn left, turn right, go up stairs and then downstairs and U turn, or something to that effect. So while on paper it's in a shopping mall with a food court, in reality it'll take you 15-20 mins of walking to get to any food or shopping. The rooms are spacious and nice, and the view of the roundabout is beautiful. But someone really needs to tear the corridors down and rebuild the place, it's one of the craziest and impractical buildings in the world.

We had a 2 night stay at Jakarta, tried out two of the best hotels around bunderan HI. Bad experience started with communication. Email communications only happens during working hours. Our first stay at a different hotel the day before, still fulfilled our request printing out a document at 1 am. Phones in room were broken and nobody gave a F. Even after complaining. Rooms look worn out. Cracked synthetic leather seats on the lounger. Cloth hanger in the bathroom broken off. Breakfast was the only good thing. Special credits to the chef. He gave us a big smile. Asks us if we have any special requests. The food varieties were superb. Upon check out. As a polite customer. I was asking for a bottle opener that was available at the room as a memory for our journey (It would cost the hotel not even 1 buck) They declined the request and dont even offered us any other option, we wouldn't mind paying. Very good hotel Novie the concierge at the hotel was very helpful and supportive in meeting my vegan food needs. The food was surprisingly good. The concierge was able to get me coconut water every day during the 8 day quarantine. The pool is available to use the last day. There is a mall attached to the hotel as well for extra shopping needs.

I'm happy to choose Kempinski for my 8D quarantine stay. The room is spacious and clean, the variety food was 👍 especially Indonesian food, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Recommended!

They have additional check in desk in floor 16, and one staff back and forth between ground floor to check if there is long queue and take us to floor 16 so there will be no crowd in lobby. Our stay the Kempinski Jakarta has been lovely so far. We enjoy the location as it is right next to 2 large malls but especially enjoy the room service as our objective was just to relax in the hotel. Our housekeeper Hikmatul has been very attentive and thorough in her housekeeping duties. She knew we liked tea drinking and refilled extra bottles of water and tea bags for our liking. She also prepared the bed in a way that was most comfortable for us. She’s amazing!

The room is spacious with luxury interior. Located in strategic area (near to MRT station, hi-end mall as well as middle shopping center). Surrounded by a wide range of local nuances of street food at night when we want to get more 'tongue adventure' of culinary. While in the hotel, they provide western food nicely. One of the best hotel in the heart of Jakarta.

Located in central Jakarta and with easy access to Grand Indonesia are the reason we chose to stay here. The room was spacious and neat, very comfortable bed, and an amazing bathroom. We got a room with a wonderful view. Don't forget about the breakfast, it was amazing. So many choices, Indonesian, western, you name it. But I am really in love with the bread pudding. So yummy. Stay here is one of a one-of-a-lifetime experience. I loved it. Thank you.

The hotel was rather old but they tried to compensate with Japanese toilet and fancy breakfast galore. The iron is upon request. However it's a traditional one - no steam. During my stay, there was an issue with the air conditioners that one was stronger than the other that I had to sleep with only 1 machine. Overall service is great. The staff were very kind and attentive. Tip: You can request a breakfast basket if you would miss the breakfast for the early checkout.

Very bad service. Our trolley with our baggage took forever to be delivered to our room and when the bellboy showed up, it was someone else’s trolley. It took one hour and we have to come down ourselves to get our baggages. The pool has to be reserved and only for 10 people. It was fully booked during our whole 1 night stay there. Breakfast was bad in taste and service. Playground was small and inadequate, unlike advertised. Then the car vallet also took very long to take our car after check out. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

They should ask the driver to not block the road while waiting for their bosses. It created traffic jams! They need to manage this better.

The check in process at reception was very clear and concise as the girl at reception who I have forgotten her name explained all information clearly. Our room was on level 12 and would recommend getting the Grand Deluxe Room as you have city views . The room was very big and comfortable with plenty room to move and to enjoy. I would recommend having a bath in the tub as you can relax and enjoy the city views or watch TV in the bathroom if you feel like it. If you want breakfast it is best to go by 9:00am as it can get quite busy. You have breakfast at Signatures restaurant and just go to the entrance and wait for someone to ask for your room number and for how many people. You have a choice of Western, Indonesian or Japanese for breakfast so there is a lot of choice . If you want to go shopping you can choose the Grand Indonesia Mall . To get to the Grand Indonesia to the right of the lifts in the lobby there is an entrance that says Grand Indonesia and it takes around 1 minute to get there. The other mall you can go to is Plaza Indonesia but you have to cross the road to get to it and it's around a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The checkout process was also quick and the receptionist who helped me was Geraldine and she explained all information concisely and clearly. Would come back again to enjoy this hotel and the friendliness of the staff who are all willing to help you if you have a problem or question.

Was here, and need to wait a couple hours, but I got the executive room during my visit, so the hotel staffs escorted me and my family to the executive lounge. They were nice and polite 👍. The room was spacious, the bathroom area was beautiful, my kids loved it and it was a beautiful memory for them so stay in this legendary hotel 😁. We enjoyed the breakfast, and the pool staffs were friendly. I wish to be here during our next family holiday.

I attended a family's golden wedding anniversary at the Bali Room, a part of the Kempinski Hotel Jakarta. the location is very close to the entrance before the hotel lobby. Very convenient location, no need to go up and down stairs or lifts. Bali Room is enough for 30 tables for 10 guests.

I was just visiting a relative who were staying in this place. The room is spacious and grand. The lobby is grand too. The only complaint that I have is that it is very confusing about the entrance for online transportation to pick us up. Apparently there are too many door entrances option.

Presidential suite room: Spacious space and very homey. There is an office room as well. Very convenient for meetings and work from hotel. Toilet is grand and great. I love the bathtub 🛁 . You can take a bath and see the gread Jakarta’s icon: Bundaran HI. Nice and very friendly staffs. Luxurious environment. Very close with Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. Minor thing: small pool in the rooftop.

The location, hotel facilities and the service were on point and we really enjoyed the stay! Especially the way how you approach guests was absolutely professional! I was amazed by your flexibility! My flight was delayed by 13h but the service at the Kempinski arranged my transfer even after the delay. We felt secure, comfortable and spoiled at all time. We will come back!

Still one of the best Hotel in Jakarta even though it's the oldest 5 star. Staffs are top notch and still quite well maintained by Kempinski group. Food is great too. One of the best Hotel buffet, always packed and greatly tasted.

Cozy big room and beautiful room and lobby. My assigned room and toilet are facing the mall so will need to close all the blinds (including the toilet) if you do not want to let the opposite shoppers see you ‘naked’ (lol). Wide choices on the breakfast table and yummy too.

Room is spacious. Facility is good. However service is bad. Room wifi didn't work and complained to the receptionist. However, it took an hour for them to come and sort it out. For me, Internet is important as my work is online. And It delayed me to do important things on my business. No any apology or anything from them. So disappointed and might not come back again.

What a wonderful hotel! The ambience is so warm, thick with history, and definitely clean. The service is so nice, most of the staff are friendly and super helpful. The airport pick-up was quick, and the car was clean. The people from the in room dining are also very informative and understand what we wanted. We also can request food according to our taste, and we can tell what we can and can't eat, in case you have any food allergies too. (which I'm grateful for). They have so many choices for food, all fresh and sooo delicious. For the laundry service, it was very fast and neat, which is nice. The room I stayed in was quite spacious, clean, and so cozy. Best hotel I've ever stayed! Spent the weekend for staycation with my best friends, we had wonderful time here. Excellent service, the room is super cozy and comfy. I enjoyed the swimming pool and work out at the gym.

I like the room in terms of lighting, cleanliness and amenities. But I found it too big and the layout is not efficient. No mirror near the closet and it is far from bathroom/shower, you have to take your clothes to the bathroom across the main room. And there was only ONE hook at the bathroom! Why? No room on high floors faces the Welcome Statue. The fridge was full of bottles of drinks, no space to put my coffee until I moved a couple of bottles.

Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is a 5 star hotel that we stayed at in October and again in November. The first time we stayed in the Grand Deluxe room and the second time in the Deluxe Room both with a King sized bed. The Grand Deluxe room is larger with a sitting area with a couch while the Deluxe room does not have this. Otherwise the rooms are near identical with the bathroom of the Grand Deluxe maybe being a little larger. Both rooms are excellent. We stayed on the 8th floor with a view of the Selamat Datang Monument and the second time on the 5th floor with a slightly different angle view of the monument. On arrival we were treated like royalty and the check-in process was easy and very professional. The front desk even helped coordinate a surprise for relatives as we had not told any family that we were coming to Indonesia. The rooms were very spacious and quiet, the bathrooms large with two sinks (important when traveling with your spouse) and a high tech toilet that not only sprayed your behind clean but dried it as well. I guess I’m the last to know about these advancements in toilet technology. The hotel is directly adjacent to Grand Mall and easily accessible down a corridor on the ground floor. The mall has lots of shopping and eating options. Breakfast was included with both our stays and the buffet breakfast is amazing. So many choices including Western fare as well as traditional Indonesian foods. Chef Widodo is amazing and cooked some special dishes for us. It was a real pleasure to taste his cooking and he made our stay here extra special. I’ll also mention Dafar who cooked me tasty omelets every morning and my favorite dining room person Maliki who’s personality was so welcoming and helpful. Indonesian hospitality is second to none. Every staff member at this hotel are friendly and helpful. A few people we had the pleasure of meeting are Ajin, Agus, Rina (who really helped us coordinate a surprise for family), Alvin, Anto, Saud and Hikmatul Marifah from housekeeping. Each was super friendly and helpful and made our stay extra special. Terima kasih!! Stayed there for 5 nights for business & accompanied by family. I concurred most people say about this hotel: strategically located next to big shopping mall, good breakfast, very clean, complete and comfortable room. But the highlight of my stay was the beautiful gesture by the staff. One of the staff, Ms./Mrs. Mardiah, gave my 3 year old daughter a free coloring book and crayon. She was very happy receiving it, and bring it everywhere. Thank you for the hospitality!

If you're in for a wonderful staycation at Indonesia's first ★5 hotel, then look no further than Hotel Indonesia in Central Jakarta. With direct access to Grand Indonesia mall and a stone's throw away to MRT Bundaran HI and Plaza Indonesia, this hotel is perfect for both leisure and business trips. The check-in procedure was flawless. I booked a Grand Deluxe and requested a good view of the iconic roundabout, Bundaran HI, and sure enough it was way more than I'd expected. Needless to say, the room is very specious and comes with amenities above your average hotels. A capsule coffee machine was present along with wine glasses and some glass-bottled water. Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+ access was also present along with the Google Assistant feature. Complimentary Twinnings tea was also provided. The minibar was yours to enjoy for a fair share of price. The bed was absolutely soft, fluffy, and wonderful along with warm bed sheets and probably the best pillows I've ever slept on. The room also comes with a working desk with a city view background and two seating areas; one beside the working desk and another one with a sofa near the TV. The bathroom was astounding, if not, the pinnacle of the room. A rainfall shower was present along with two sinks, and one large bathtub overlooking the cities. Truly wonderful and exquisite. The toilet is fully automatic and has a seat warmer along with a panel-controlled bidet. Breakfast in Hotel Indonesia is absolutely an experience on its own. With lots of choices, there's always something for everyone to enjoy ranging from Indonesian foods, chinese, japanese, and western. Taste-wise, I would give a solid 8.6/10 in general with my favorite being the western foods and the chicken katsu. The historic bubur ayam itself earns a 8.3/10, nice job 👍 All in all, it is worth the cost for a night in Hotel Indonesia and I'm always more than delighted for another stay.

The Kempinski Jakarta team was amazing, the star player in the team being Ino, who went above and beyond her duty to help me locate my 2 pieces of lost baggages by calling the airport/airline and hunting them down on my behalf. The hotel location was also excellent, directly connected to the Grand Indonesia mall. Traffic outside the hotel can be heavy (and noisy) but still largely manageable. But the hospitality I've received is one of the best in all the hotels I've been to.

The second launching for the Executive Management Program of PIB College in collaboration with The Apurva Kempinski Bali was held at Ramayana Terrace. The ambiance and the service are excellent. The staff there were polite and attentive. Food and beverage were also delightful.

Room renovated, but never stay overnight. Service at the wedding party Bali Room is very good. Food also good. Location is in the Sudirman strip which is central if the city. Unfortunately, the traffic is jammed.

I had a wonderful time when I was here. The space was spotless and well-managed. They also provided the Quran and Bible, which is a very kind gesture. It was very roomy. The staff was polite and helpful. They offered a wide variety of meal options, including western, oriental, Middle Eastern/Indian, and Oriental cuisine. The dessert was very delicious. Grand Indonesia Mall and the hotel are connected, so we can go shopping and catch up with friends or colleagues with a short stroll from our hotel room. will definitely return.

It's an old hotel but the condition is still good. Room was excelent & spacious with a huuge bath tub with bunch of amenities. It has Japanese style toilet that could do things automatically. Have a great overall experience while staying there for 4 days for work.
