On the plus side, the hotel is reasonably priced and less than half of the globally branded chain hotels. At first glance, the hotel appears relatively decent, but a closer observation would say otherwise. The hotel is dated and not well maintained. The first room I moved into had a broken TV remote, dust everywhere, poor lighting, a dated TV and no hot water. I then moved to a different room that didn't have working lights, but the water ran warmer. The location is good as it is walking distance to several malls, but not the highest quality of malls. Overall, if you're a budget traveler or trying to save a dime; the hotel is better than others. I'm not sure how it received 4 stars, but I'm certain it's better than other local hotels. Internet is slow and staff is about average. Best to book online for price savings like most hotels around the world.

I booked via Traveloka, already paid from 2nd March for 11 March 2023 (2 rooms, 1 night). When check in, hotel stated fully booked (prolonged problem from 5 p.m. until 12 midnight before the traveloka and hotel agreed for refund process "before the hotel informed won't refund as traveloka didn't pay the hotel, while traveloka informed that they already paid the hotel and insist that won't be possible for refund process(blaming each other)". Thank you for the inconvenience and the bad experience given. I won't ever book the hotel in the future and will uninstall traveloka.

What should I start...hmmm. let's see Pro ; - awesome housekeeper. Pak Agus works beyond the expectations. - room services are AMAZING!!. - securities are very extremely helpful!( Mr Henry, Mr All, and Mr Muchtar). - the manager, Mrs Mitha. She is a sweet lady. Professional, patience, helpful and understandable. She makes sure everything is okay. Wisdom. - Ms Ika, the PCR lady is very responsive, and professional. - Awesome view. We are lucky enough to be able to see the fireworks during New Year 2021 and... Welcoming 2022! Hmm...what else... - water pressure is alright. - location is awesome. A cross the street from Blok M. Cont; The room is quite old and needed love! For examples wallpaper -peeled off, many stains, dust the tables and wipes the chair in details. -Window need to be clean professionally. -repolish or repaired or repainted the furnitures (a big stain on the side of the table). -The window's curtain need to be wash (many food stains on the curtain). Gross 😝 - bathtub has many stains - toilet has mildew on the bottom. It looks mewah terlihat sultan dr luar tp didlm memerlukan deep TLC [touch, love and clean). Honestly, we were there because of the staff, food and the services!. I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Note ; Room is pretty reasonable price. ***On the other hand during 10 days of quarantine...hmmm Let say... a "staff" (HE didn't work in this hotel anymore). He did something that was not supposed to do w oknum lainnya. The owner of this hotel aware of this situation. 👎 Mr oknum2 yg ambil aji mumpung dan jajan di suasana saat pandemic and quarantine spt itchuuuuu. Menimba..cari receh se ember! Hhmmm...sooo not cool!!

I couldn't come up with the slightest idea why this hotel was rated 4* in the first place, apart from its slightest location. Directly across, you can find the famous Blok M Square, a low-to-mid tier mall with Japanese treats immediately in its vicinity. If you prefer local treats, various breakfast and lunch stalls are located in the mall's perimeter. The room is reminiscent of early 1990's hotels with vintage facilities and poor illumination. You might even notice some little roaches roaming around the bathroom. The swimming pool is left unguarded and derelict. Definitely won't recommend this and I'm not going back again.

An old hotel at the center of South Jakarta. Exactly in front of the Pasaraya building. The room is spacious enough although the interior is quite old, but it's clean. The breakfast is standard for the 3-star hotel but unfortunately, the taste is just plain. The bread is hard, and some of the food is just tasteless (the chicken, the vegetables). Too bad. The lounge opens until late at night which is very helpful. I tried the apple pie at the lounge but it's just too dry.

I was assigned to a room and when I got in there, the bed wasn't made, there's still trash from the previous resident, and overall dirty. I asked to get a replacement room and was assigned to another. The replacement room was better but still terrible. the bed was made, no trash from previous residents, but the bathtub and the rook floor were dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned, the wooden pillars were dirty as well and showing signs of termites. They couldn't give any refund when asked for it. So guess have to let them get free money from their very very very terrible management. hope no one would book this hotel ever again. recommend Ayaka, Avissa, Aston Priority, Nostoi and Grand Whiz for similar prices but very different service and room quality. I might even add D'Bambo0 Suites for cheaper price but still better everything else Sorry didn't manage to take pictures because was too busy booking another hotel. I gave my written complaint to the hotel management but doubt they would do anything about it, so don't bother booking here

My family & I stayed at Ambhara for quarantine. The service is excellent. The hotel arranged the pick up from the airport for us. The staffs were very responsive to any of our enquiries. They kept us posted to any changes & updates, especially with the changing quarantine rules last week. They sent all the information very promptly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for us. Thank you for the exceptional hospitality!

The furnitures are old and not well maintained. Bed cover has some dirty spot. Toilet is dirty, I think the housekeeping not doing their job very well. Internet slow. Swimming pool doesn't provide towels. Front desk staff and door greeter are friendly. Need lot of improvement.

Is it really four stars? The water filter in the shower turned brown in three days I saw bugs in the restaurant The room smells mysterious. More than anything, it's advertised that there are sports facilities If you go there, only trashy chairs are left unattended. But the staff are very kind.

This hotel has easy access for me, near to the public transportation, comfortable bed and quiet big room. The lack sometimes is the amenities not complete, the AC cannot be settled and the water just warm. But, for one or two nights stay, the place is good. I like it.. just have your own experience😊

Strategic location and reasonable price, good breakfast. The hotel furniture is kinda old and there are some stain typical with old stuff but it looks like they do the best to clean the room. Deluxe room has no refrigerator but has bathtub with hot water. The lighting is a little dim in the room and the hallway. Staff is nice.

The service and location are both good. However, the room was very dated and had black mold due to water damage. Their was a lot of water damage in the corridor as well which they tried to fix with a fresh coat of paint. Bathroom did not feel very clean. The bed was fine.

Only wanted to visit Dayana cigars, but the shop was closed. We didn't stay in the hotel. When we almost arrived we thought the place would looks nasty to but the doorman was very friendly and let us wait inside the lobby to wait for a taxi; the lobby and dining room looked very neat. Don't know about the rooms like I mentioned before.

A luxurious hotel, was. Building is nice, you can see that it was once a premium hotel. The problem is, almost all of those luxurious feature aren't working anymore. Shower has low water pressure, hot water also is taking too long. Altough my room is equipped with a bathtub, there is no drain hole cover and valve knob is broken, so it's useless. + : they have updated their tv to a big led screen

Very comfortable and good hotel. The staff is very kind and willing to help with the smallest detail. Definitely one of the kindest people I have ever met. Service above all. I would be happy to return here one day.

Old building, lobby toilet is clean but not at the 2nd floor when meeting is held. Had to look for tge banquet on duty when we had problem with the LCD projector, AC at the dirgantara room should be fixed as sometimes cold and then suddenly not. That's the same happening with the projector. Refurbishment is a must

If you are looking to do your quarantine here: RUN AWAY !! Internet won’t work properly, impossible to do online meetings all day. They are barely feeding you. The whole strategy is to make you order from their kitchen. Repatriation food package includes cold and soft french fries, local « gorengan », sometimes u won t get any proteins. The staff can be loud in the corridor when cleaning up plates, either early morning or late evening. They will wake you up every morning by ringing at your door so that you can collect the food. 10 days spent for something around 12 millions, a big scam

Though the hotel looks a bit old, the rooms are very clean. Good AC, wifi, and helpful staff.

  • 4/5 Alexander P. 2 years ago on Google
Stayed here as part of their repatriation package, which was competitively priced. The room is old, and was initially unsatisfactory. However the staff quickly made improvements. Customer service was excellent throughout - 5 stars . They really did take good care of their guests. The food tasted nice, especially the Indonesian options. The bed is really comfortable and the room is quiet on the whole. The stay was marred by the quality of the rooms overall which are in need of a thorough revamp, however this is made up for by the good food, bed comfort and excellent hotel staff. I would stay here again because of the competitive price, staff, food and bed.
