A little bit old hotel located in the heart of Jakarta close to Gondangdia station. Room is nice with carpet in it, couches, desks, TV, little fridge, water heater with pouches of cafe tea and sugar, safety deposit box, and a closet. The view from my room is only of a wall so I close the curtain all the time. AC is cool enough and hot water shower is also working good. The AC doesn't face the bed which is a good placement unlike other places. There's no toothbrush nor toothpaste so you need to bring your own. The hotel sandals are not for free and you can request should you need them by paying Rp 5000. Breakfast is buffet with limited choice but good enough. If you look close enough you can see that the bed shows its age but nevertheless I could sleep well. There might be mosquitoes around cause I felt like something bit me but couldn't find the culprit. WiFi needs improvement because sometimes you can connect well sometimes it doesn't work well. There's only two electric sockets that I could find and both were located far away from the bed. One of them didn't work. Good thing I brought my own extension.

full of articulations on its facade, makes this hotel become a landmark of Menteng. located at Old Gondangdia (Kondang Dia, toponimi in colonial era) and wad built in 1968 by Mr. Sofyan Ponda and in 1971 launched grand opening by Mr. Soeharto (President of Indonesia).

Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia was a huge disappointment for me. I arrived at the hotel expecting a comfortable and clean room, but I was greeted with a nightmare. The first room they gave me looked like it was already occupied by someone else, since the card was still in the slot and the TV and lights were on. I went back to the reception and asked for another room, but they only offered me one that did not meet my requirements. When I protested, they said I could either take it or go back to the first room. I decided to take the first room, since it was better than the second one. I was wrong… The door of the room was faulty and took me several tries to open it. The carpet was stained and dirty, the bedding was torn and stained, the view was of a dismal alley, the bedding had iron burns on it, the hallway smelled bad, there were no towels in the bathroom, the TV was broken, and the whole room was dusty. To make matters worse, I felt like I was being watched by everyone at the hotel. People were staring at us as we walked in and out of the lobby, as if we did not belong there. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We just came from an Airbnb in Bali that was more clean and comfy than this hotel, and we even checked out earlier due to all these issues. We didn’t want to stay there any longer, and we didn’t care that we didn’t receive our money back. We rather spend the extra money and sleep in a hotel that’s in a decent state, even if it will cost us more. I advise the management to renovate the whole place and to rethink their standards. Otherwise I would advise everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs. It was a complete waste of money and time. (I added pictures to the review, be sure to check them out)

The room is pretty good. However, please consider to bring your car since this hotel isn't providing a vast parking slot. But you still can park your car on Cut Meutia mosque

Hotel is a bit dated but great location and good value for money. Free breakfast is ok but the lunchtime menu is pretty tasty.

Sharia hotel with an old Betawi theme. the food is delicious, the meeting room is nice and the service is friendly. The hotel's location is very strategic in the center of Jakarta, suitable for office meetings and family holidays.

Compact hotel, the parking area is to small so you have to park next building.

The hotel rooms were rather old, but we'll furnished with chairs and desk. The room is a bit musty, and the pillow was rather small (in contrast with the bed). In terms of value and it's strategic location, it's a good value for money. But the failure to provide a decent breakfast (we have boxed breakfast), has turn the whole experience in an overall negative light

This hotel is good for family. They feel homey. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We love to stay here whenever we come to Jakarta. Moreover it is located in a strategic location at Central Jakarta. Close to Grand Indonesia and Monas. There is an old mosque Cut Meutia opposite of it. Just across the street.

I stayed here for staycation. The place was nice, although several things might need improvement or be a consideration when you're gonna stay at this hotel. The water heater didn't work well, and also the mobile signal/network didn't reach your phone well in the room. So, you have to go to the aisle when you're making phone call. Good to know, the WiFi works well that covers its bad mobile signal coverage. The minor thing that I like is there mini refrigerator in the room.

This is an Islamic hotel, where you must show a legal marriage certificate when you stay together with a different gender. The location is quite good because it is located in central Jakarta and Menteng. there is a mosque right in front of the hotel. the rooms offered are comfortable enough but a bit details are poorly maintained. The hotel package offered also includes a decent breakfast. But the building used is quite unique compared to other hotels.

No doubts for services, but room key must be reset everyday. Old room and furniture, bathroom should be upgrade. AC not cool even it's 18°, hot water took so long to warm enough, what else in the morning. Delightful breakfast, much tasty menu beyond 3 star hotel commonly

I won’t recommend this place. old building so the room and amenities are kinda run down. breakfast was limited since it’s still pandemic, not much choice. small parking space and I can smell smoke from my room. but the location is very strategic, gondangdia statiom is just 5 mins away by foot.

It's a quiet good place to stay for some days, but i hate the wifi aren't good. It kept on and off for some reason, and i didn't even use it for even a minute. Not recommend for those who like a good wifi connection. But, the other things are fine, the room, service and location.
