I was on a quest to be up in the hills of Kingston Jamaica to find clarity and to overlook the city and take it all in from a distance. What I didn't know was that I was going to find that, and more at tranquility estate. The views from my room and the property were breathtaking. The city of Kingston and all that it has to offer is just a short drive down the winding hill. If you are fortunate enough to spend a Sunday night at the estate I would encourage you to walk further up the hill to "Kingston Dub Club " an outdoor roots, rock and reggae experience also with amazing views of the city of Kingston. Tranquility estate is as the name states a place to find peace and tranquility, a place where your experience is very much your own. Thank you Lorna.

I can’t really begin to describe how special Tranquility Estate is. First on the long list of excellence is Lorna, the host of this lovely and charming property. Lorna is welcoming, gracious, full of fabulous stories and anecdotes about Jamaican culture and places to visit. She thinks of all the “little things” that most have long forgotten and her warmth is the heart of the place. The grounds are filled with lush flora and fauna and Lorna and staff are always planting and improving on what seems like perfection to me... and the view!! Like others have mentioned, Tranquility sits up on Jacks Hill, which is called Reggae Mountain; Dub Club and Skyline Levels are just down the road by a short walk. I can’t say enough- come and enjoy this gem and say “hi” to Lorna for me❤️

House it that location is a germ. Great view on the city below and Blue Mountains behind. Room probably needed a little bit more attention probably had been cleaned weeks before our arrival. Pool was not operational. Our host was great

Tranquility Estate was the perfect place to stay for a break in Jamaica. The views were stunning and the hospitality flawless. I had breakfast cooked by Mrs Nelson - ackee & saltfish with ground provisions - and it was perfect. So tasty. Mrs Nelson is on hand to answer questions and has a few brilliant and trustworthy taxis on hand to take you around. They can also recommend a good hire car place that is much cheaper than a lot of the other main ones. The room was nice and had everything I needed, though I didn't stay in it very long as I was out and about. Very handy having a fridge in it. The location is great too - close enough to Kingston to easily enjoy it, yet further enough away up the hills for it to be quiet and peaceful. I really recommend this place and urge you to take a walk around the grounds to see all the fruit trees - avocado, ackee, grapefruit, mango - it really is a paradise. When I come again I'll be staying here.

Stunning base from which to explore Kingston. Lorna is a fantastic host and the bedrooms are beautiful. Delicious breakfast with epic views. Drive there is a bit winding and bumpy but sooo worth the journey.

We had such a good time visiting Kingston from Tranquility estate, Lorna is such a great host, the view is spectacular, the house and the rooms are very well kept and breakfast is delicious with herbs and fruits from Lorna’s garden. The first night we went to the famous Sundays at the Dub club which is spectacular and very close by, next day the Creighton coffee plantation and the impressive art collection at the National gallery in Kingston. So many things to do so little time. I highly recommend staying at Tranquility estate out of the congestion of Kingston but still very close to everything. If you are not a confident driver you can rely on taxis, the road to the house is pretty narrow and winding.

As the name stated. Tranquil and peaceful. A slice of paradise in the hills. Very cool with great City views especially at nights. Our house was most accommodating, would highly recommend this stay.

Amazing views! The host was brilliant too- she gave us lots of ideas for places to visit/eat and money-saving tricks for our 1st time in Jamaica! Breakfast is delicious and home grown on the properly. Really cool bar 'dub club' just 15 walk mins up the road. We loved our stay. 100% recommended.

Service was poor. While we were getting dressed the owners daughter walked in and was rushing us to leave stating that she has to work at 4am. Mind you, we were paying customers. We never exchanged words with her but she was very rude throughout our stay. And there is so much more id like to add but its not like any one will really read the whole story.

We booked a two-night stay at Tranquility Estate for the weekend, primarily for its proximity to Kingston Dub Club. The property, despite some earthquake damage, is stunning. Miss Nelson, a wonderful and wise host, managed everything seamlessly. She even assisted us with dinner since there were limited options nearby, especially without a car (we rely on local transport). The morning brought a delightful breakfast with fantastic Jamaican fruits. The resident dogs, brothers who provide security, quickly become familiar and friendly. This accommodation offers breathtaking views, and the abundance of provided information makes it a top choice. We're eagerly anticipating our return!

This a wonderful place for a couples retreat. The view of New Kingston and surrounding areas are breath taken. Breakfast is amazing, many of the fruits are grown on the estate. The estate gardens are gorgeous, and flow with the home. If you are a book reader, the estate has many books, and arts to enjoy. Though wifi was available, we didn't use it...have you ever played scrabble next to mountain terrain similar to jurassic park? This is a must repeat stay! Shout out to Apollo and Cassius, guard dogs gorgeous, and remind me of the ones on the show Magnum P.I.
