Thanks to Prince for taking us to this place. LOCATION : Follow the pin on Google Map. The road can be bumpy around this place. FOOD: Superb Taste, one of the best Non-Veg food in Delhi I'd say. I had one plate + half plate Chicken Biryani, Chicken Qorma with bone + 2 Khameeri Roti and little sweet Kheer👍🏼 I'm a Biryani lover. Frankly speaking I don't like the taste of the Biriyani that we mostly get in and around Delhi especially the restaurants near Jama Masjid. -- We ordered for Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani here and was pleasantly surprised as it was very delicious ❤️. The rice was top notch basmati, the quality of Biryani was one of the best. The chicken was tender and flavorful. -- Well I have a good appetite. So i felt the portion was little less compared to the price. As in, I had 1 and half plate biryani - i usually eat only 1 plate biryani. -- The Chicken Qorma was again the best I've had. -- FRANKLY SPEAKING- Before coming here, i had a very negative impression of Khameeri roti as i had tasted in Karims & Al Jawahar near Jama Masjid. --->> But it all changed here. They know how Khameeri roti is made, it's got an amazing texture, it's mildly fluffy and soft. A person without teeth also can eat it properly ❤️❤️❤️ AMBIANCE: Loved the ambiance, it all adds up to the final experience. The place was clean and hygienic. The heritage style decor fusion with modern touch does wonders. COST : Cost is slightly heavy on the pocket. Undoubtedly the quality is unmatched. SERVICE : 10/10 on Service as the attendants were very courteous and gave best suggestions about the menu. PARKING: We were on bike so it was easy. VERDICT: Must Visit for their super tasty food 👌🏼

A restaurant in Jamia Nagar that has a Valet Parking, speaks a lot about the high standard and quality that this restaurant is capable of offering (this is what anybody would think if they haven't been here). Well I have to admit that they do serve a variety of dishes and some of the dishes will really live up to your expectations and maybe beyond what you have thought. For example the chicken tikka that they serve has raised the standard of this particular dish in this area, but the other dishes like butter chicken not so "Lazeez" (delicious). The restaurant that brags about some exclusive facilities and great interior that many in this area fail to offer does really catches your attention and deserves the best possible rating if it serves the food upto customer satisfaction. Then why just a 4 star. Well for one thing - You do not get a good value for the money (if you are a bachelor and a foodie then there are many other small food joints that serve Mughlai at competitive price). Secondly, they force you to buy water (that should be served free - at least RO type) at a very costly price. Overall - Great for giving a lovely treat to your family and loved ones. Although, hardcore foodies may have an alternate view!

If you are a mughlai food lover and haven't been to this place, you are definitely missing out on something absolutely brilliant. Located in the by lanes of Abul Fazal (for those who're figuring out, its near Jamia Milia Islamia University) this place is a hidden gem when it comes to the food they serve. You will get plenty of biryani walas, nihari sellers, and other mughlai food restaurants when you'll enter the area but al-nawaz hits different. Their chicken biryani is completely different, such subtle flavours and yet so flavourful. Try their kalmi kebabs, they're superb! Also, their chicken wings are really nice. The star dish of this restaurant has to be their special khameeri roti and their anaar ki chutney. The roti is so soft that it literally melts when you take a bite. The chutney is so flavour packed that meanwhile your food arrives, you can start having roti with chutney you'll know what im talking about. Also go for their mutton nihari, seekh kababs but do try the chicken biryani, they have mutton biryani as well and its completely different in taste so do not get confused, if you eat mutton, order both variants but do try the chicken biryani as well. The chef Nawaz Bhai is a gem of a person and you can ask for him if you like the food. He is happy to meet his customers and still doesnt gets bored hearing all the compliments. If you plan to go here on weekends, i'd suggest you to call and book your table as there's heavy waiting outside. Overall, please go try their food. Bohot pyar se banaate hain aur utne hi pyar se khilaate bhi hain.

Yesterday I got the privilege to dine-in and I found it's foods are delicious and very authentic Moghlai Cuisine. Dam pukht Chicken Biryani is so delicious that I got it today again. Chicken Burra, Chicken Changezi, Khameeri Roti are others gems in the menu. Must try.

Delicious, authentic Mughlai cuisine. Tandoori starters like Kalmi Kabab and Malai Tikka were sizzling hot and flavorful. The Lahori Mutton stew and boneless Chicken Tawa Masala was awesome with the fluffy Khamiri Roti. Their Chicken Biryani is quite unique in its flavor and very tasty. Food here is on the pricier side, but well worth it. Overall, a great place to have flavorful and authentic Mughlai cuisine.

This place is a paradise for meat lovers. It is a traditional Mughlai serving restaurant and this place has some noticeable non vegetarian dishes on their menu. Chicken Biryani, Chicken Barra Punjabi are two dishes you should order. Khamiri Roti and Afghani Chicken combo is another recommended combination of sorts. Murgh Kurchan Tawa Masala Curry is also delectable.

I must say these guys "think" they make the one of the best chicken Kalmi Kebab. But, that doesn't mean that you charge INR 515 for just four small pieces! Thats not enough for a single person. That wasn't even 150gms of meat!!! When I called the resturant, they are completely ok with this non-sense and offering me to come and see people eating this dish at that price and is their signature dish. Had this thought came to the best butter chicken resturants like Moti Mahal, Gulati, they would sell the dish in small container not even fit to cosume with one roti! To owners, you think what you are doing is correct then good luck!!! I will never return to your restuarant and would insist reades of this comment not to spend on OVERPRICED menu. The real problem comes when few chapri Youtubers goes to these resturant and try their best to advertise. I don't recommend this place 👎👎👎

This place has quite a different vibe. With wooden interiors and a basement setup, the place can be quite small for it's fans. I visited here with a friend for dinner and the place was filling up fast. Soon enough there was a waiting and I wondered why. I got the answer to this as I went inside. The staff is genuinely interested in serving you. We called for a Kalmi kebab and half chicken biryani. The kebab arrived in a sizzler platter and needless to say, it justified the attention it gathered. The biryani was served in a humble ceramic bowl and it seemed quite ordinary till the aroma hit me. As you dig in the portion size was quite likeable and the quality was really good. The best part was the flavor of the chicken that was unusually marinated and blended very well with the portion of rice. No wonder people were waiting outside even though there are other options in the same lane. This place is family friendly, not sure if they allow pets though. I did not see any washrooms in sight. The place seemed too small. It does not have a wheelchair accessible entrance or parking. If you have a car, it can get tricky to find parking especially during rush hours. For bikes, the parking is not a problem. I found this place to be value for money and I'd definitely visit again.

This is an absolutely top notch food place for non vegetetarian food lovers. We went there with our family of five - three adults and two kids. Every item ordered was amazing which included a range of tikkas and kebabs. We ordered mutton nahari and some chicken gravy dish along with khamiri roti and everything was polished off in no time. We paid over 4K for all this. Would definitely recommend this place and visit it again

Hi a hidden gem of delhi Al Nawaz Good place to have authentic mughlai food One of the few restaurants to serve mutton Nihari. Moderately spiced and meat falling off the bone Mutton biryani was also excellent with meat perfectly cooked and rice also flavourful Mutton seekh kababs was also great in taste Family friendly hotel and hygienic too👍

Staff is good. Ambience is good. But the main reason why 2 stars because food was not good. Main attraction of a restaurant is food and we have to take support of ice-cream to forget the taste of the food we ordered. If anyone reading from Al-Nawaz Restaurant please take care of taste.

A good restaurant for veg as well as non vegetarian dishes in the Abul Fazal Part 1, Jamia Police station area, very conveniently located just walking distance from the nearest metro station. The food was good and the staff was courteous and helpful. Best thing I liked was they have free Valet parking service which is very helpful if you drive a car to this place. I liked their chicken dum pukht biryani and chicken handi dishes, the garlic naan could have been better. Overall a good experience. Posting menu pics here for easy reference.

The worst food i ever ate. Mutton curry was smelling foul. The kebabs were like plastic. And the end Hyderabai kheer was just loke adhesive mixture. Feels cheated. Extremely over priceed . They even don't deserve a single star. Looters.... Don't visit there else you will be regretted.

After so much of bragging by a friend, I landed this restaurant to try their delicacies. I was accompanied with 3 of my friends and had an amazing experience which I would like to share here. We were welcomed by a cheerful host and first thing I noticed there was Chef Nawaz photograph and his experience mentioned at the enterance also I heard a lot about his experience with hotels and specialization in food service. Very soothing and comfortable atmosphere with dim light and decent cutleries and crockeries. Let me jump to the food part, I was accompanied with a friend who was regular to this restaurant, so I asked him to order tge bests. He ordered Kalmi kebab, seekh kebab, murgh kalimirch, changezi and khamiri roti. We all were eager to try their famous biryani but unfortunately it was finished :( Kalmi kebab - succulent pieces of well marinated chicken grilled over charcoal and served in sizzlers. Seekh kebab : well moist minced meat with proper amalgamation of spices won my heart. Their chutnies were actually complimenting the kebabs. Coming to main course chicken kalimirch and changezi were fantabulous, balanced amount of spices and good portion size. Khameeri here was of atta and not maida so its a win win , you can have 2 naans easily without much pressure on your tummy. Overall excellent experience here. Post our dinner I was eager to meet chef Nawaz, the owner and head chef of this beautiful restaurant and fortunately he shared a moment with us. Very humble and genuine personality shared so many history and his food experiences with us. A big shoutout to the Team Al nawaz and the chef Shahnawaz!!

The food is good here but a little expensive based on the quantity. The place also feels stuffed with tables and chairs. It does not really have any provision for more than 4 people at one table. They put a small stool like chair which is really uncomfortable.

This is only my initial review as I am yet to try the most famous biryanis. Ambience is good, service quite good. Location is great for anyone travelling by metro as it is exactly opposite okhla vihar metro station. Parking may be an issue during day time or weekends. I tried their mutton nihari, shahi paneer, khameeri rotis and phirni. Nihari was on the rich side but delicious, rotis are really very good and survive the hype- however the famous chutneys did not- atleast for me. Paneer was good and flavours were very different from the non veg gravies. Phirni was a winner. Will definitely be back for more.

A nice Mughlai Joint near Okhla Metro Station. I tasted Mutton Burra, Qorma and Biryani and all of them were good. Biryani was different what we usually get in Delhi, little dry but aromatic with subtle flavor. Qorma was light and tasty, Mutton burra was spicy with succulent mutton. At last I had Firni and that too was amazing. Staff is courteous. Would reccomend people to try these joints and get over the Old Delhi paranoia.

Food is good but the restaurant is a bit more expensive than the best in town. You can go there for lunch or dinner for good food. Please keep in mind that it is a bit more expensive than Karim's. Food is very good but not what you get at Karim's.

I had the chance to dine at Al Nawaz recently, and I left with a feeling of disappointment. The prices at this restaurant were quite high, and the portion sizes didn't match the cost, What's more, the biryani I ordered, which is usually a favorite of mine, was a real letdown. It lacked the rich flavors and taste I expect a good biryani at this restaurant and there was an unusual like boil rice without any taste it's better to have Dal rice, Moreover when we complain about this to manager and he was also very unprofessional So I must say If you're looking for a place that offers both good value and delicious foos, I would recommend exploring other options and don't waste your money by visiting at this place.
