Good service, food, flavors. The dosa was very delicious! Some of the dishes I found were better than others. Indian food is subjective depending on your taste. Overall a good experience. The mango lassi is a must try, they add a little extra cardamom, it’s perfect.

We went to Rasa to eat south Indian food for my husbands birthday. And they have the perfect South Indian menu. Food: We ordered Nair dosa, tamarind rice, Madhur vada and a veg gravy. It reminded me of my neighbours food from Kerala back in India. She would cook in similar style. We loved the food and the service. Service: Everyone was very polite and well mannered. Ambience: I loved the perfectly created South Indian ambience with Indian music playing. PS: The best thing I liked about them was that they have not tuned the food or spice levels for the local crowd. It is as is (authentic tadka and fragrance) Price: it’s light on the pocket too. we had quiet a lot for two, our bill was 29£

I love coming here for a true authentic taste of South Indian cooking. I've not tried the desserts but I'm planning to at my next visit (today!) Everything is cooked to perfection, fresh, well seasoned, hot and made with passion (you can taste it in the food). Prices are good for the quality of the food (don't expect huge portions like you get on Brick Lane but that's not an issue at all as quality over quantity). The staff are always polite and accomodating. It does get very busy after 7:30pm (seems to be regardless of the day) so bare this in mind if you want to turn up without a booking.

Absolutely amazing food! We walked in as it looked interesting and this with these veg south indian dishes you dont need meat. It was so tasty, service was amazing, everyone with a smile. Our favourites were veg curry, daal, beetroot, fried bananas and aubergines. A lot of amazing things and prices are great!

I absolutely love the food here. Certainly the best Indian food I’ve had. It helps if you’re a veggie because that’s what’s on offer. Honestly, it’s spiritual! The service is also excellent - fast service, fresh food, and very inexpensive. By the way, this is not a one-off - every time I come to London I have at least one meal at Rasa.

It is a small place and gets filled pretty fast, so prefer getting a reservation here. The food is amazing and very close to what you might find in parts of India. The service is great and the staff is so sweet as well. (When we were ordering, he even suggested us that it might be too much, which was such a thoughtful suggestion, so it impressed me). I would definitely recommend this place for a vegetarian meal as well because they got so many good choices.

Meeting up with friends and have to say this was a most excellent choice of venues. I was a little concerned about how tightly packed the tables in the restaurant are but it soon became obvious why - the food here is amazing and the service that wonderful mix of attentiveness and chill that places rarely get right. The selection of breads and starters set the tone for the sort of meal that shows why vegetarian food should never be regarded as boring. The inventiveness of the dishes, the sympathetic use of spices for warmth and flavours but never for machismo rugby club heat was perfect as was the bill.

First of all, the Staff is really friendly and cheerful. Really enjoyed the vibe and the atmosphere. We ordered the Moru Kachiathu with tamarind rice and the crispy Dosa. The Moru Kachiathu was extremely tasty and had a nice spiciness. The Dosa was really crispy and had a tasty flavor. As a side to the Dosa, the Rasa serves a really awesome Potato Masala which ich became our favorite on the first bite. As we headed out (we were leaving London that evening) the Staff even refilled our water bottle for us when we asked them if we could refill it. Tl;dr: Staff: 5/5 Food 5/5 Location 5/5 I can highly recommend to pay the Rasa a visit if you like indian cuisine!

Came here with the excuse to celebrate my half birthday, given my real birthday was during lockdown. This restaurant was charming ! Delicious and authentic quality food, their menu stretches beyond the usual curry dishes I knew and where all fantastic! Although everything was vegetarian, the absence of meat did not stop us enjoying everything and feeling extremely full and satisfied. Have recommended to both my vegetarian friends and omnivores. Great atmosphere as well, particularly good for gatherings. Thank you for this experience.

Come here hungry so that you can fest on their super-affordable vegetarian feast. You will get an assortment of crunchy crackers and different chutneys followed with some Keralan style fritters paired with their own sauces. The main is huge and we got vegetables curry, a spicy daal, cabbages, and a delightful creamy aubergine dish with rice and two types of bread. The rice pudding dessert is a lovely finale as it wraps the scrumptious meal with a mellow, cinnamon note. Will come back!

every single aspect of the experience was absolutely perfect. upon entry you're hit with a pleasant wave of warm colours and smells. the staff are very friendly and helpful. the food was absolutely divine in every regard and the choice was nearly indefinite. the masala dosa bigger than a child was the star of our table, but every dish down to the humble rice was eloquently presented and perfectly spiced and wondrously cooked. could not be better.

A friend took me to Rasa recently, saying it is the best vegetarian Indian restaurant she’s been to in London. I must say she was right. The food was so tasty and flavoursome, I did not miss not having meat. I had the mango and banana sweet sour main dish with lemon rice. We also had the pickles and chutneys with delicious crispy bites. Lovely staff, good service, amazing food. I will be back!

Really great food and very friendly staff. A lot of vegan options, everything we had was tasty and the bill was very reasonable. Only thing was, it felt that we were being rushed to pay our bill and empty our table while we were still finishing our drink, I guess because it was quite busy.

Nice food. Good service. Was surprised to learn no masala tea was served but other tea selection was served. Served only after challenge asking for the reason. No excuses could be made.

Ate here last night quickly before gig at the old church. Don’t normally bother writing reviews but I was so impressed last night I just had to add my praise and 5stars! I used to live 20mims away for over a decade so I’m no stranger to Rasa (&the central one when it was still open) but haven’t been back for a few years. So delighted to see the standards are just as high. Menu change looking super professional & slick! Very fresh and CLEAN food without compromising on taste. And vegan to boot (they have dairy dishes etc too we just didn’t order them last night) That holy trinity of taste, nourishment and great value is a rare thing even in a beast of a foodie city like London. Well done to the friendly but efficient staff and the talented chefs in the kitchen. You should be proud to work in such a 5star place. Thank you! Can’t wait to come back

A beautiful little restaurant with wonderful food and lovely staff. We had the vegetarian feast, which is a large selection of nibbles, starters, curries, nice, bread and a dessert. Really reasonable price. Definitely going back there.

No waiting and straight in. The decor is from Kerala (so sets the scene) and so is the food. Lightly spiced (could be spicier) good portions of wholesome food and reasonably priced. Good friendly service, all in all a pleasant though not memorable meal and experience.

Great for vegans, super yummy food but a little bit rushed. We booked in advance and were seated at 5.30pm on a Saturday and they needed our table for the next customers at 7.30pm. 2 hours. I guess that's all we can hope for in this "time is money" city. Just slightly confusing because it was an unusually quiet evening in there and there were a lot of tables empty when they required us to leave. Felt a bit more like being in central London than little ol' Stokey. The food is fabulous so it's nice to take your time if possible and enjoy the experience. I'd recommend booking for their second sitting at 7.30pm so that you can relax a little bit longer if you want.

Wonderful atmosphere ( love the pink!!!!!) , wonderful food. Perhaps the best paratha of my life. Had a mango & green banana curry which was bang. Okra was the star of the show though. Recommend to a friend!

Absolutely delicious vegetarian food. I had a starter which was mostly cabbage and coconut, and it was out of this world. I only dropped a star because the space can feel very cramped and difficult to enjoy your meal.

We had the veg feast and vegan feast. The amount of food we got, not had so much food in a long time. And it was all amazing. Some really good choices and the service was good as well

Lovely restaurant with very attentive staff and tasty food with super fluffy and butter uttapam. Was lovely and humbling to see the owner also working with his staff and lending a hand with the more menial tasks. We ordered 2 veg feasts as there were 2 of us… but one would have been more than enough. 2 was a lot of food for 2. But at least we now know what we like and can order that next time. Masala tea could have done with straining out the chunks of ginger and being more milky (less watery) and the addition of a dash of cardamom but otherwise it was a lovely restaurant and a great night. Only negative things were, they were obviously trying to get us out as soon as possible as they gave us our bill before my masala tea to end the night had even arrived and without me requesting it. Also on paying the bill the machine asks for gratuity which is fare enough. However it associate the amount you give with what you thought of the service (clearly written and visible for everyone to see)… all the while the waiter is standing there watching you so even selecting a decent 20% feels bad as it is associated with average service. I feel that is very manipulative. For these 2 reasons I had to drop a star. Other than that all good.

So delicious - the end! I recommend this place to everyone. I love being 'forced' to have vegetarian food (as a non- vegetarian who sometimes feels they have to order meat for the sake of it), because at Rasa I am reminded that is is just as good (if not better). Consistently good food. Incredibly fair pricing. Staff is so friendly. I recommend to everyone.

The signature of the experience was the Masala Dosa, with delicious spicy potato filling. We know one will not be enough for two of us after we had the first bite. As mains, we had Chef Special which was a mixed vegetable curry for us, however, it felt like it could be something more special. The second main was Paneer Cheera Curry and it was amazing. They both worked well with Lemon Rice and Paratha. Pal Payasam was the best finish after all the food, with the notes of cardamom.

Overall Enjoyable dining experience at Rasa. It was a very busy week night and I had to wait 15 minutes past my reservation. However, I felt it was worth the wait. I was served by the owner, Das, himself. The appetizers were spot on and a great start to my meal. I regret going with some non traditional mains. I think my Paneer was watery due to frozen spinach. Overall, I still enjoyed my meal. I do plan to return and try some more traditional South Indian dishes. Definitely make reservations in advance. Great location. Traditionally decorated pink theme.

Maybe we ordered the wrong things, or maybe we were there on a bad evening but our dishes were tasteless. We got a paneer curry and a lentil curry with coconut rice. There wasn’t much paneer in the curry and it just tasted of milk 😔 My lentil curry wasn’t any better, tasted of something peppery and spice but the flavours just poked out, wasn’t what I expected, I’ve seriously made much better myself. I’d give them another chance but what’s the best tasty dish that they do? Open to recommendations

3 x veggie feasts and 1 vegan feast with a cobra each. Not bad but not memorable and slightly forceful service (verging on rude) even though it was quiet. Moderate portions from the off - we had to ask for more chutneys. The starters were fine but basic fried food. The mains were all very underwhelming, lacking heat and depth. The sorbet for dessert was pleasant but similarly underwhelming considering how many options were on the menu.
