Hakuba Base Camp

Bus tour agency Information services

😐 It's called base camp but not all the shuttles stop here and it's actually difficult to get here in the evening if you arrive by bus to Hakuba Station. You basically have to take a taxi even though it's not far. It's too far to walk when with luggage in the snow.

This is the closet main bus stop to our Lodge and Apartments. Airport and Nagano station buses arrive and depart from here. You can also buy Hakuba valley multiday lift passes from this location.

5 stars just for the friendly staff here that can answer most of your travelling questions when your staying in Hakuba. Bus service is on time and cheap, although get there early or late otherwise the buses are too full for you to fit on.

Kevin and his team are able to help you out with any tours and sightseeing you might like to do while in Hakuba, as well as helping you get to and from the airport. The team is friendly and helpful, even when it's busy and there are lots of buses coming and going. There is also a very small shop if you need some supplies or snacks for your trip. I'm sure the team at Base Camp can help with organising any transport needs you might have, you just need to send them an email.

This is a first time visitor rating. This place is pretty mind blowing. Such amazing scenery and friendly people! This place is pretty much a bus terminal. It has all the basic items you need when waiting for a bus, such as toilet, snacks, seating (somewhere to get out of the cold), free WiFi and friendly staff.

Central information point in hakuba village, however, information not always correct. There are a few employees that know their stuff, but sadly many that are misinformed or lack local knowledge. Beware passes are non refundable, and there are some resorts that have online deals that work out better than what you can buy here.

Really helpful team at Base Camp. Great location to get your lift pass, book travel and catch the shuttles...sitting inside keeping warm to wait for the shuttle beats the other shuttle stops hands down!

They only sell passes for all the stations. Best to buy your tickets directly in each station. They don't have the half day passes

The place is rather small and gets cramped during peak hours. Some people need to wait outside, which is not most convenient.
