The JCB Lounge is close to the central exit of JR Kyoto Station, and if you're on the subway, Karasuma Exit is close. It is located on the 2nd floor of Kyoto Theater near Hotel Granvia. On the right is JCB Plaza, which is exclusively for foreign tourists. It's common overseas too. JCB card is Premier or above, if you have the above card Up to one accompanying person can use the facility free of charge. Do not swipe your card at the entrance. It's just for showing off, so it's okay to come twice a day. (?) Well, since there aren't many people using it, people will probably think I'm here again. (LOL) There are free drinks. Wi-Fi also connects easily. It's helpful that there's also an outlet. The smoking area that used to be there is gone. There is a smoking area on the right side when you exit and go down the stairs. It seems to have disappeared after the renewal. There are also plenty of tourist magazines. I heard that you can leave your luggage there and go sightseeing.

こちらは、JCBカードのうち、一定のグレード以上のカードを保有する方々が利用出来る珍しい街中ラウンジ。京都滞在中、保有している知人に連れられてやって参りました。 場所はJR京都駅にある「京都劇場」の一角。隣は「JCB PLAZA」なのでとっても間違え易いですな。 中は一言でいうと「狭い！」。座席数は24席。柱周りの動線にもゆとりが無いので、キュウキュウな印象です。 空港のラウンジと同様に、ソフトドリンクのマシンや新聞・雑誌・ガイドブックなどのラックが設置されておりました。 最大のメリットは、無料で荷物を預けられるところかな。バッグを預けてエスプレッソを１杯頂き、いざ京都の街へ出発！

Right near the Kyoto Theater. JCB upper class card holders must present their card to use the lounge. Convenient when waiting for the Shinkansen. When I visited in September 2020, they only offered packaged juices, but when I visited in November, they were now offering a variety of drinks such as coffee, cocoa, and soup.

The only thing that makes it feel as luxurious as a lounge is the staff's service. There are only a limited number of seats with power outlets, and the height of the counter chairs does not match the height of the counter. It's very difficult to use when using a computer. There is a system where you can get a cold drink from a pack after you tell the staff. The drink bar is self-service. The toilet is on the right after leaving the lounge, but it is very small. Can it even be called a lounge if there are no restrooms inside? It's just a member-only rest space with a free drink bar.

JCBカードの上位ランクのカードを持つ人が利用できるラウンジです。 カウンター席と二人掛けのソファーがあります。 WIFIや電源もあります。 ドリンクはフリードリンクです。 90分の利用制限がついていました。 静かな別世界になります。 京都劇場の2Fになります。

座席数はあまり多くありませんので、基本的には家族単位よりも、個人単位での利用になるかと思います。 仕事が出来るようなテーブルスペースもありますので、出張の際の新幹線の待ち時間を、少し落ち着いて過ごす程度なら、ちょうどイイと思います。 コーヒーマシーン(ココアも可)が1台あり、紙パックのジュースも提供頂けるので、ある程度分別の付いた子供連れであれば訪問できると思います。 私はG.W.で京都駅が大混雑しているタイミングでお伺いしましたが、待つことなく座席を利用できました。 ただし、休憩スペースの利用よりも、荷物の一時預かりの需要の方が高そうでした。 旅行で訪れた際に、ホテルに一端荷物を預けて、また京都駅付近に戻ってくるのが手間な方には、この預かりサービスは非常に重宝すると思います。 なお、ラウンジは18時までの営業なので、荷物を預ける方は時間に気をつける必要があります。

Great place to rest. Staffs are kind.

A free travel lounge available only for a certain JCB card holders. To be entitled to use the lounge, it seemed the card must be platinum class or higher. There are free coffee servers. And they keep baggages while walking around the city. As a lounge, I think this place is not very special, I mean quite basic and common. But the location is in the Kyoto station building and quite convenient. Well, the problem must be probably the JCB brand card is not very popular in the north America (at least I think so). They say it is quite famous and popular and reliable in Japan, though. By tbe way, staffs there are very polite and can speak English reasonably fluent.

I visit Kyoto often, so I tried to use this place several times, but it was always crowded and I couldn't get in. Kyoto is one of the most popular tourist areas visited by many tourists, but it does not seem to have the capacity to accommodate them.

It's far from the ticket gate and it's really small. The service was as poor as an airport gold card lounge. I hope they don't advertise this as a benefit for high-end JCB cards. It's a shame because the staff was very responsive.

京都に行く際は毎回利用しています。 荷物を預けて観光出来るので移動が楽です。

【as June 2023】The lounge which you can go in with jcb issued in overseas is closed temporarily. As well as one in Tokyo.

人数制限があり、土休日は1時間までの利用となることが多い。壁際の席やカウンター席は、スマホ充電可能。トイレはラウンジ内にはない。手荷物預かりサービスがあるが、営業時間内に戻ってくる必要がある。フリードリンクの紙パックジュースは、ラウンジ内にいるJCBの人に申し出る。

土曜日午後に利用。2022年10月現在、1時間までの制限あり。私のあとに来た人は満席で入れませんでした。こちらへの訪問時は満員で入れないかもと思っておくのが良いでしょう。 席が良い感じに離れてて良いです。京都駅周辺にカフェもベンチもそこそこあるけど、そういう場所って他人がすぐ横にいて私は落ち着かないです。コンセント付きの席もあります。1時間以内のちょっとした読書や作業にも良い場所です。

飲み物しかありませんが、ゆっくりできます。 利用者が去ったら、すぐに椅子と机を拭いて消毒していたのも印象的でした。 ノートが使える机もあり、作業もできます。

京都劇場に向かって2階に行くと右側にあります ちょっとわかりにくいかも 規定を満たしたJCB会員は営業時間内であれば荷物を預けられるようです JALで提供されるスープに似たような味のオニオンスープが無料のドリンクバーにあるので満足しました(会員なら無料なので多くを求めてはいけませんw) 結構狭いのですぐに満員になりそうですね

出張で利用させて頂きました！ とても清潔でゆっくり出来ました。 お酒も置いてほしいですね💨

そんなに広くないですが落ち着ける空間です。トイレは外に出て左側に。

荷物を預かってもらえて助かりました。 出発までの待機にも使いましたが、お手洗いはお部屋の外で一般共用の物しかありませんでした。羽田空港のラウンジを想定して行ったのでちょっとガッカリでした。

近くに行った際に、ゆっくり休憩出来るので 利用しています。 利用後は、スタッフさんが椅子と机を拭いて消毒しており 清潔な環境です。 ドリンクサーバー、ティーパック他 スタップさんに言えば紙パックの飲み物もあります。
