Stayed two times. First time I liked a lot but the 2nd time I really don’t like the service. I sent my luggage in advance. They told me my luggage is in my room but they didn’t let me check in because it’s not check-in time yet. Totally Japanese working by the manual and not flexible and try to provide best service as hotels. Pros: clean, convenient Cons: no window in the room and service is not flexible

Don’t think JUST BOOK HERE!!! Stayed here to celebrate my 41st and the unlimited sake had me drunk within 30 mins. I loved that you could connect to NETFLIX on their flat screen!! The Hinoki bath is to die for!!! I stayed here during corona & of course we had to negative PCR test. The staff said our test didn’t have our names on them but the lab only uses ID numbers so we were sorted out in no time!!!

Magnificent hotel! This is THE place to stay in Kyoto. Not only is it centrally located for access to sights, shops, and public transport but has a modern flair while keeping true to Kyoto’s historic roots. The hinoki soaking tub is a highlight, as well as having an in room washer and dryer. This is perfect for travelers like us who will be heading elsewhere after their stay, and would like to do laundry. The beds were comfortable, the staff lovely, and the complimentary sake each day was a great way to kick off an evening adventure in Kyoto.

I like this hotel. It’s kind of new and everything was good except 1) toilet seat in our room was way too hot but control was not visible 2) the light on the bathroom mirror could not turned off. But these could have been addressed just by calling them. They offer evening drinking time I thought that is nice touch. The staff are so nice and helpful. If I ever return to Kyoto I will definitely stay here.

We love this hotel. My husband, 10 year old son and I stayed 5 nights. Staff was always friendly. Rooms were spacious, well maintained and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this place 💕

We stayed here 4 nights and loved it. It’s located in a quiet alley yet walking distance to key places. The room was large and the service was great. They have complementary Sake, tea or coffee and snacks. They also have a washing machine & dryer facility in the room. We would stay again.

Loved the hotel! It had everything I needed for a comfy stay! There was an amazing cypress tub and also a washer/dryer! The shower was large and standalone which was great. On of that there was a microwave in room. There was also unlimit sake after 3pm! We had a lovely time at the hotel. Highly recommend and probably will stay again if we come back to Kyoto.

I spent 4 nights at nol Kyoto and am fully happy with the stay. The room is large, clean and modern with finest japanese touch, which is very rare for most hotels in Japan at this price point. The in-room onsen, washing-dryer machine and the kitchnette are great plus. The location is at the centre of Sanjo, which is surronded by many local cafes, restaurants and unique shops (e.g., 45R, master-piece etc.). It's 10-min walk from big dept stores, e.g., Tokyu Hands, Daimaru, Takashimaya. The staff is always attentive and helpful. I will definitely come back again in my next visit to Kyoto.

The Nol Kyoto Sanjo was by far our favourite accommodation of the trip. The room was spacious, clean and functional, with the highlight being the bathroom that included a traditional wooden tub that was perfect for sitting and soaking in. The staff at the hotel were super helpful and friendly, they assisted with making bookings and finding restaurants. The hotel location was also prime, it was very close to public transport, like a station and buses’, but was also walking distance to Nishiki Markets and a whole selection of shops and restaurants. The neighbourhood on the whole was very quiet, and comfortable to go out into at any time of the day or night. The next time we’re in Kyoto, we will absolutely stay again.

It was a really special hotel; great design and really zen. Fantastic location; close to all the markets and shopping. We stayed in a room with a wooden bathtub (loved the bathroom). The room was big and spacious; tons of storage and even had a washer/dryer combo. Would totally book again.

This is a fantastically located hotel - walking distance to Nishiki market and all manner of great restaurants. The rooms are also huge and come with an in-room washer and dryer. Great value for our stay and we would definitely book back here again next time we are in Kyoto. We skipped the hotel provided breakfast which was an extra charge and instead walked every day to Inoda coffee down the road which had many breakfast specials.

Excellent boutique hotel in Sanjo We would give it 6 stars if possible. The interior design is immaculate. The lounge provides a free sake tasting too. Staff were delightful as well. The surrounding neighbourhood is amazingly convenient and super fun to walk around.

Rooms are Japanese style with modern design, very beautiful and elegant. They have wooden bathtubs. Breakfast needs to be pre-ordered 4 days in advance and unfortunately we didn’t get it. They offer a snack bar with free wines, drinks and snacks. Kids love those drinks and snacks. The location is very good since the downtown restaurants and stores are not far away. We usually walk home after dinner and it’s really convenient.

Great for a short stay, nice, large room with a good bath.Very convenient location too. Only drawback is that breakfast is in-room and too simple. I would recommend anyone to stay here without breakfast.

    1. Room is clean. The Housekeeping is doing a great job. 2. Love the Hinoki bathtub! 3. Coffee, soft drinks, snacks and sake are all nice selections.

2023 0331-0402 I had experiences of doing part time job at front desk in Kyoto. For that reason, I am sure that the front desk staff COULD book taxi for the costumers. However, they rejected us for booking taxi, and have us reserved it by ourselves. I personally think that the service could improve more to match their price.

The room and Japanese wooden bathtub are clean and perfect, providing free にほんしゅand snacks. Most of the staffs are friendly. There was only an insignificant issue, which a man in the reception desk seemed impatient after informing him of losing the proof of luggage storage.

We booked the Hibaburo Deluxe and it was everything we needed. The location was fantastic for our travels and the room was clean, spacious, and a cool reprieve from the hot weather we experienced. It also has a washer/dryer combo and that was a true saving grace for us. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. We didn't use the concierge service so we have no reviews on that. We'll definitely book this room again.

Our stay at Nol was wonderful. The hospitality at this hotel was outstanding; front desk was always available to answer questions, help with shipping our luggage, and responded quickly to email requests. Our room was so spacious and welcoming; with great amenities and relaxing hiba wood bath. We also enjoyed the TV services that allowed us to use Netflix. The hotel was just a short walk away from many great restaurants and shops and quiet enough for us to recover. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

A stunning hotel. Rooms are absolutely huge. The Hiba bath was a beautiful addition. The included sake bar was greatly enjoyed. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Lovely place located in a quiet alley, surrounded by traditional architecture. Appreciate the washing machine and dryer facility in the room. It's within walking distance from many lovely dessert and dining places.

The Room was even better than the pictures. So spacious, clean and modern with a beautiful Japanese traditional touch. The free sake bar was such a nice way to either start or finish your night after a big day site seeing. The Staff were super welcoming and helpful. The location is hard to beat with only a short stroll to great food, shopping and famous markets. We stayed there for our 10 year honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier.
