Visited on August 5, 2019. I come every year on weekdays before Obon to enjoy summer. It was a perfect summer day and we were able to enjoy the sea. There are many beach huts, so you can enjoy swimming and barbecuing without bringing anything. In our class, we bring our own tables, umbrellas, etc., so we cannot report on the beach hut. 砂浜が狭かった。自分としては夜に花火をしたかったけど、周囲にやっている人が誰もいなかったので諦めた。子供達が貝殻拾いをしたけど、ほとんど無かったのも残念。でも海にも入れて楽しく遊べたし、何より夕陽がキレイだったのが最高だった。条件もあって見れたり見れなかったりだろうけど、花火の代わりかな！

I was surprised at how nice this beach was. Niigata isn't famous for it's beaches so I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at what we found. They have created mini pools and lagoons using concrete tetrapods, which sounds as if it might ruin the beach vibe but actually they work. The sand is white and the sea is very clear and clean, which means you can snorkel around the submerged tetrapods and see some fish. It wasn't busy at all (maybe because it's September) but some of the beach houses were open and selling beer and food....score.
