The meat is quite literally the best meat I've eaten in my entire life, and that's likely in no small part due to when you get the course set, the food is cooked for you at your table. The owner, Yasushi-san, is very friendly and fun to talk to even if your Japanese is only ok. When cooking he also tells you which between the two (excellent) sauces you should dip the beef into before eating, and he just never misses. If I ever come back to Sendai, Momo is the first place I'm stopping at.

During Christmas when the streets of Jozenji Dori are lit up, it’s a magical experience to look out at the lights from the 5th floor. It can be hard to know what to order and how to cook it when going to yakiniku restaurants, but at Momo I recommend the course menu, so you can sit back and enjoy a great variety of quality meats and side dishes. Reservations can be made in English, and the staff is very friendly and hospitable.

Outstanding food and service. Friendly owner. While this place would be best as a quiet date spot, I brought along my 9 year old (who had the time of his life). One of my favorite meals in Japan.

I was excited to try this place, but it easily smashed my expectations and was one of the best if not the best steak dinners that I’ve ever had. We only speak English, and it was no issue as the chef spoke great English and was very welcoming. I messaged the restaurant via google maps to make my reservation as I had trouble using the reservation app with not knowing Japanese.

Honestly, the best Yakuniku restaurant I have had across all of Japan. And I have eaten across Hokkaido all the way to Nara. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

The owner recommended us the beef set and it was the best beef quality and seasoning I’ve ever tasted. Very thankful for the owner’s keen attention to details, from advising you the exact sauce to eat each piece of beef with; all the way to having sanitary pads available in the female’s toilet. Overall a pleasant dining experience with extraordinary good food, topped with great service. Will definitely come back if I’m in the area! 😋

5-star is not enough!! Honestly the best meat dinner we ever had!! Amazing service, very knowledgeable owner and he cooks it for you! We opted for the middle range set menu and oh my god did it blow our mind. Everything was amazing and I would make a trip to Sendai again just for this dinner at Momo Yakiniku. You should visit if you’re in Sendai.

Excellent 5-star service and food. Service not just homey but skilled as they need to be to bring out optimum flavours in each cut of one of the best meat we have tasted. Big plus too is the excellent suction that makes sure you don't come out smelling of the grill.

Delicious. Highlights were of course the meat, but what really made this place stand apart were the 12 appetisers and the gyutan soup! What a wholesome flavour explosion of ginger and beef!
