Went there by chance and there was a long queue. Better get there early as it’s very popular! It’s a family run business and they were very kind. The meat was absolutely amazing, it was melting and the crisp just good enough. We had the black pork and the one with more fat. We wanted to get the premium one but was sold out due to its popularity. I would definitely come back and recommend anyone around to take their chance to eat there.

Amazing Tonkatsu place that I can’t recommend enough. A interesting aspect to the place is that you get to select the type of pork from the different regions of Japan. You even get a small ice cream at the end! :) The place only takes cash to be prepared in advanced for that. The place is small so if there’s a queue of more than 10 people, do expect to wait for about an hour.

The best tonkatsu restaurant I have tried till date. Needs an advanced reservation though. Otherwise, you will need to be very lucky to get in.

One of the best tonkatsu I have eaten so far. You get to choose which pork from different prefectures in Japan. We had pork from 2 regions and the taste and texture was indeed different. The cutlets were deep fried to perfection but the shredded cabbage was a show stealer. Combined with the in house green onion and sesame sauce, it was so addictive we had seconds (second round is free!). Rice refills are also free! Absolutely love this tiny place run by a cute husband and wife team.

Long overdue review after a couple months. We were visiting Osaka for vacation and found this place not too far from our hotel. It’s a small, cute family owned place with warm service. They were very nice and patient with us, despite us not knowing Japanese. We each ordered a katsu set (they have picture menu). Before coming to Japan, my husband never liked katsu, but the katsu here totally changed his mind. The food was fresh, and the katsu was crispy outside and tender inside. The price was also really good too. We were so impressed with this little restaurant for their warm service and the awesome food. Definitely love to revisit next time!

Extremely recommended katsu 定食 restaurant! Perfect fried pork that you cannot find it in other place. Sliced cabbage, smashed potatoes and roast yam are wonderful side dishes. Rice are so good that you will ask for one more. Furthermore, you can have 1more free rice and free sliced cabbage.

We went there for lunch but they were fully booked. The nice lady got us in that night for dinner though and the food was excellent. You will need to make a reservation but the food is great and everyone working there was so kind so its worth it. English is limited but they do have an English menu

Absolutely outstanding food and service. You can choose between different pork meats from different regions all over Japan. Probably the best Tonkatsu that you can get in Osaka.

Was lucky to get accommodated as the last walk-in for the day. Set a new benchmark for my tonkatsu expectations. They now accept reservations via tablecheck. Efficient service.

We have reserved a table for lunch and ordered the chef recommendation sets tasting 3 different brand of pork cutlets. It was a wonderful dining experience. All cutlets tasted juicy, tender and just perfectly cooked. They provided two sauces ( sweet one and spicy one, though i dun taste the spiciness, both are good) for the cutlets; also two types of salt and mustard. There are also two type of salad dressings for the shredded cabbages. You can refill your rice and cabbages once for free. The mini ice-cream at the end of the meal was truly delightful. We had apple, caramel and chocolate flavors. All of them are delicious. Highly recommend this shop to pork cutlet lovers. The shop is small, so it is wise to book in advance.

The food is totally the reason to go, but I would book before heading there. I was waiting an hr for a one person counter seat and others were turned away. It was worth the wait but would say worth guarenteeing entry with a reservation.

The person in charge of the guests doesn't speak English but she took the time to translate all her explanations. We were very well received by the cooks. We ate well, the pork was divine! They even offered us tea before we left. I'd definitely recommend it!

I had the premium pork and it was excellent. This small shop is also super cozy and welcoming. Though you eat here alone and choose to sit at the counter, you can still feel the privacy because of a proper partition and stack of plates in front of you. The best thing here is their gracious and professional yet warm and very friendly service. One of my best experiences ever. Will surely come back.

Went there for lunch. The meat was tasty and juicy. It is not that big, but if you get there, you'll have a good experience.

A small Katsu restaurant with warm service and tasty food. We sampled four different menu items and enjoyed them all.

We got to the restaurant before 6pm (dinner opening time) to avoid a potential rush, but it seems that they had some reservations set up at 6pm. The staff came out early to let us know that their earliest availability would be 6:30, which we were glad to take! They were very accommodating and used a translation app to communicate with us. The food was excellent! The sets came with a surprising amount of food. I had a 150g set of their 2nd highest grade tonkatsu, and my husband and I shared a couple of the fried shrimp options and the minced pork croquette. I was a big fan of the pork coquette since it was juicy, tender and flavorful! The meal set came with rice, miso soup, shredded cabbage salad, potato salad, the katsu, a glass of tea, and a scoop of ice cream! The value was honestly really good for the amount of food they serve! They also had 2 sauce options and 2 salt options plus mustard packets.

This was an amazing upscale Tonkatsu shop that we visited on our trip to Osaka. My Japanese is very limited, but the staff were more than welcoming, and ordering was very easy. I ordered the Premium Tonkatsu meal, which was superb! The meat is very tender, and the fat melts in your mouth. The miso was also very delicious with some very tasty pork undertones. At the end of the meal, we were treated to some of the best Espresso Ice Cream I've ever had, and the chef thanked us for the visit. The shop is very busy, and we were lucky to get in without a reservation quite late. This is a must visit spot, and I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Osaka.
