I am an amateur mountaineer who usually only climbs low mountains. The only equipment I have is Paul. The plan was to go from Ropeway Nishihotakaguchi Station to Nishiho Sanso, round trip around Nishiho Dokubo, and then descend to Kamikochi. I had researched that even amateurs could go to Nishiho Dokubei, but if you get close to the goal and the path is a long cliff with no guards, will your life be over if you slip? I came across a special place. Once in Tateyama, I went for a short walk in a similar area, but even though I was old enough to occasionally slip, it was uncool, but considering the risks, I decided to turn back. I could have gone a little further, but in any case, I'm inexperienced, so if I have a chance, I'd like to try it again with the guidance of the guide. On that day, it was foggy around noon, and the mountains in the distance were only occasionally visible. Still, I think I was able to enjoy the cool temperature here while hiking in the mountains, despite the intense heat in the city.

I am a beginner mountaineer who took a day trip to Dokho using the Shinhotaka Ropeway. The climbs near Nishiho Sanso and Dokho were tough. At Dokpo, I looked at the wall in front of me and debated whether to climb or give up, but I was really moved by the view when I climbed. However, when climbing the wall, I put my backpack down to lighten myself up to be as safe as possible, and then climbed up and down by following the person in front of me. It's a relief to be back in your backpack, but please climb at your own risk. Also, I think pre-climb practice and a helmet are essential.

August 11, 2023 Route from Nishihotakaguchi Station The ultimate place for beginners to the Northern Alps. Anything beyond this point is for advanced users. Must be able to reliably climb rock walls with at least 3 points of support. Perhaps because you can take the ropeway to the top and stay overnight in a mountain hut, some people come up to the mountain feeling like they're not fully equipped as a tourist destination. Climb up without waiting for people to come down from the Dokubei mark. I got stuck on a rock wall and witnessed my guide scolding me. If you fall, you'll die, so please don't come because it's a nuisance.

December 2023) We stayed in a tent at Nishiho Sanso and enjoyed the empty domes before the first ropeway train arrived. This time, it was winter, but the view was spectacular. You will be overwhelmed by the ridgeline that connects Pyramid Peak in front of you to Mt. Nishihotaka and Mt. Okuhotaka, admire the natural beauty created by the hanging ridge and Maehotaka, and be stunned by the scale of Mt. Kasagatake. A wonderful world awaits you. However, if the weather is bad, you won't be able to see anything. Directly below the summit is a rocky area that is slippery when wet. Climb carefully. From here on, it will be an advanced route. If you feel even the slightest bit anxious about climbing up to the Dokubei mark, do not proceed further. I went to Nishihotaka in late autumn, and there was a really scary slab slope waiting for me at the end, especially when it was wet. Please judge carefully.

You can come on a day trip using the Hotaka Ropeway. It was early July and there was no snow at all. From here onwards, the level of difficulty is high, so you will need plenty of time, equipment, and experience.

I get the impression that this is all for beginners, and you can have a lot of fun even on snowy mountains.

As practice for mountain climbing in the middle of winter Aiming for bad weather and aiming for a unique mark that I know One day mountain climbing At Yamaten The forecast was for clear skies in the morning. From the afternoon, All sorts of warnings were issued, including heavy snow, high winds, and hypothermia and frostbite. The weather was perfect for testing the gear's abilities. What I learned this time Place goggles and balaclava in a location where you can take them out. Mountaintop coffee in the middle of winter is Don't start by boiling the water GO-PRO also stops working due to hypothermia. white out, When checking the route with YAMAP, If you let it out and don't do it often, it will fall off. I have to think about measures against runny nose. After tracing, do not look at it with your eyes. As you move forward while exploring with the sensation of the soles of your feet, Even if it whites out It can greatly prevent you from getting lost. I learned a lot

I went on a mountain day. From the Hotaka Ropeway, we climbed Nishiho Sanso, Maruyama, and Dokubei in that order. It takes about 1 hour to get to Nishiho Sanso, 20 minutes to Maruyama, and 50 minutes to Dokubo. The environment changes from bottom to top: a forest area, a rocky area where Japanese pines grow, a scree area, and rock climbing. The view was amazing.

This is the beginner's course, and the advanced course starts from here. Isn't that what everyone says? Climbing the solo peak in winter is only for intermediate level climbers, so be careful! It's a beginner's course up until the middle, but the final climb to the top is extremely steep and requires an ice ax. Descending is so scary that even if you barely climb up, you won't be able to get off! !

👍👍 Take a bus from Sawando Bus Terminal, get off at Kamikochi, and walk for about an hour to see this beautiful bridge. The river's flow is not too fast and the color is clear blue, making it the perfect place for a summer stroll. Is it a little cold in winter?

🫤 It used to be the best campground, but now it is not well maintained and the athletics are buried under grass. The facilities are old and the number of customers is sparse … With the current camping boom, I think I can regain my brilliance depending on how I do it...
