Had a very terrible experience, if i could give 0, i would. Extremely rude and unhelpful lady staff. I read the other positive reviews, and the hosts that were serving other guests were different, maybe that explains the difference in service. There were a few instances: 1. The manager was ok, generally helpful, what we would expect from the hospitality line. However, we were met with an extremely rude lady staff who shows an annoyed face whenever we ask for help, such as asking where do we get water when we first arrived. 2. They do not help with loading bags to car - i understand that maybe the guests are expected to load bags to the car themselves, but we were carrying very large suitcases, the least they could do is to wait slightly more patiently. 3. As part of their service, they can fetch guests around the small town, but the expectations were that they will not wait, they will only bring us to the place. We booked an extra night in Hakuba with another hotel (since mojo lodge had no rooms left), and we requested to mojo lodge to fetch us to the new hotel to just put our luggages, and then bring us to the ski slopes. This arrangement will help them do 1 less trip, since technically speaking I could have just go out to ski, and come back later and get them to fetch me to the new hotel again. However, after bringing us to the new hotel, we were supposedly "too slow" in unloading the bags to the new place. And the lady staff was getting very irritated and annoyed. I was also surprised that she helped us take out the items, but that was because she wanted to hasten the process and quickly leave. Even though we made the arrangement to ease their trips, their first thought is to tell us to get off. And while unloading, she even give the extremely sarcastic "you are welcome". - totally uncalled for and very unprofessional. They did mention that they cant wait as they have other guests, the wait was about 5 minutes only and we were arranging this whole thing TO EASE THEIR BURDEN. Not sure why she is in the tourism line, if she constantly shows such attitude towards guests. 4. Rooms are pretty small, heater is working but theres no ventilation unless you open the window. Definitely not worth the price, we stayed at a traditional ryokan after and it is 100x better.

My boyfriend and I loved this place so much! The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable of the area! The lodge was so cozy and felt like home. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The downstairs area was a great place to hangout and meet new friends. I give this place a 10/10 and if we come back we will always stay with Mojo Lodge!

Mojo Lodge was a pleasant surprise in my trip to Hakuba. The facility is a great value but the best part is definitely the staff. I booked fairly last minute and the manager Souza was very communicative and helpful. He coordinated my pickup from the bus station even though I missed my original bus and was arriving after the normal pickup hours. Daniela came and picked me up and was a fantastic host for my entire stay. She showed me around town and made me feel very welcome at the lodge and in Hakuba. I would highly recommend staying at Mojo Lodge and will definitely visit again.

Nestled in the woods, yet only a 5-10 minute walk to DT hakuba valley for dinner and drinks. This place is so cozy. Perfect for relaxing after riding. Or if your like me. Remote worker. Perfect for riding for 1/2 a day and coming back and working from the couch. Clean, comfortable, priced just right with staff that do care about you and your stay. I think its a team of three. We drive from Kobe JP - usually it takes only 6 hr drive but we got delayed on the highway. Staff stayed late / after hours because they wanted us to park down the road for safety reasons since our vehicle might have issues coming up in the snow. We parked. They came and got us (again, after hours) - just good people here 100% Gotta book it. No need to look at any other place PS. Manager has good taste in music

Souza at Mojo looked after us like we were family. Great, relaxed atmosphere in Mojo Lodge, especially in Spring with few guests. Great local advice on restaurants etc.

We had a great stay at mojo lodge! Daniela and the rest of the staff were super friendly and gave good recommendations. The shuttle was particularly helpful as we didn’t have a car. No problem with only speaking English either. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful place! We stayed there mid-July, "off season" but we still had the best time! Everything was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Hakuba is a wonderful place on it's own but Daniella and the Mojo Lodge experience made our stay even better. We stayed there for 3 nights and felt like home already! Highly recommended

Amazingly accomodating staff! Souza was very knowledgeable and was more than happy to give us tips and options for what to do, where to eat etc. the bus service was very helpful and the breakfast service was filling. Prime location with modest rooms and great staff. What a combination! Thank you for our stay.

Great lodge, great host, drove us anywhere in Hakuba we needed to go (Slopes, restaurants, onsen, bus terminal). Family of five - Stayed in the studio apartment and a twin room upstairs - clean, comfy, cosy warm and all facilities. Strongly recommend Mojo Lodge. Ski conditions were excellent.

Amazing lodge short walk from Happo bus terminal and Happo Village and the Wadano Gateway Entertainment complex. We stayed in the summer but will be back for sure in the winter.
