Had an amazing birthday dinner for my sister here. Everything in this restaurant is vegetarian and the staff are more than happy to answer any questions you have. Every dish we ordered was well presented, cooked with care, and absolutely delicious. Some favorites during our dining experience were the chocolate dessert, cheese platter, 5 set platter, and dumplings! This place only accommodates about 6 people at a time so be prepared to wait a bit if you arrive later than opening time. (Make sure you let the staff know you would like to dine to queue if needed) There is a menu with a photo for every dish. You order by filling out a order sheet. If you're vegetarian or want to explore vegetarian dishes, I highly recommend this place!

There are only a few seats but the staff were incredibly friendly. Menu is in English and there is a good selection of traditional Japanese foods. Dishes are small and tapas style - you order a few if you want a proper meal but if you just want a drink and snack you can also do that. The food was excellent but the hospitality really made it special. We got a seat around 7pm on a Friday but it started to fill up quickly after that. We spent around 5.5k yen for two but that was for a couple of drinks each and multiple dishes. You could easily eat for cheaper here if you wanted. Would highly recommend for anyone (vegan or other).

Some of the best vegan food I've ever had in any country. Fantastic food, really nice staff. Only downside is that there is 6 seats total so if you don't go right at opening you're bound to wait for quite a while. We went at opening so it was no issue and the best meal I've had in a while. There's also no bathroom there because of the size. Prices are a bit high but the food was delicious so it's worth it. I got the 5 side select and the vegan yakitori as well as the yuzu sour.

A must visit for any vegan/vegetarian travelling Kyoto, amazing food for a great price. A tremendous owner/chef with superb hospitality. Perfect place for a late night feed. The owner had many suggestions for vegan restaurants/bakeries within Kyoto. Highly recommend! Definitely get the cheese platter and yakiniku 👀 🔥

A wonderful Izakaya in Kyoto worth the wait! We tried almost every dish on the menu and it did not disappoint. The food was divine and beautifully presented. The chefs were welcoming and explained each dish as it was served. The dashi was tasty and the salty plum was also unexpectedly delicious! Very good value for money too!! Highly rate this place.

Everything was so delicious, and the chef who prepares it was such a sweet and friendly guy. The food was prepared and served with the utmost precision. It's slightly on the expensive side but absolutely worth a visit! Especially if you're looking for a little hideaway to forget the hustle and bustle outside (the tofu and dashi dumplings were my absolute favorites. but everything was incredibly tasty, especially the eggplant from the 5 samplers plate)

My husband and I had a fabulous experience here while traveling. I’m a vegetarian, but my husband eats meat, and we both loved everything we tasted. I appreciated the opportunity to have a full Japanese meal that was vegan. Being able to eat everything on the menu was refreshing. We both loved the tofu, too! Absolutely delicious.

I was very lucky that the store was not busy when I went. I can’t have pungent vegetables and the lady was very considerate and let me know which dishes I could have. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice. Didn’t get a chance to try the vegan yakitori as it was sold out. Highly recommend the dashi chazuke!

Probably the best food in Kyoto. Cool and kind chef. Great little traditional Japanese eatery in a cute part of town. Get anything from the menu, it's all phenomenal.

I loved this little vegan gem. So close to the action of Kyoto, in a tiny little space. The lady that served me was so kind and accommodating. Respect for putting out amazing vegan food in that tiny little kitchen.

Great stop in a great part of town. Really enhanced our evening. Japanese food at reasonable prices. Open late which is great as most places close so early for my eating pattern. Food is interesting and delicious. Staff are so lovely. I don’t like deserts but even enjoyed theirs! Sake was great also. Will revisit in our short stay here

Tiny welcoming 6-seater vegan izakaya. Expect sophisticated and gentle Japanese cuisine and flavor profiles. Interesting and unique menu options, sake, wine and some spirits to choose from.

This charming vegan Japanese restaurant is an absolute gem. With seating for only six people, the intimate ambiance creates a special dining experience perfect for gatherings with loved ones. The staff's personalized attention and passion for vegan cuisine and Japanese traditions shine through, making the visit truly exceptional. The food is a delightful fusion of traditional Japanese dishes, reimagined in vegan versions without compromising on flavor or authenticity. Each plate presented a work of art, filled with vibrant vegetables and perfectly balanced flavors. This restaurant deserves five stars for its outstanding experience!

I have never eaten at a Vegan restaurant before but really enjoyed it! The hospitality was 10/10 they didn’t speak any English but worked very hard to accommodate me. Was a little pricey but would go back!

The staff were really kind, we spoke little Japanese but they were very understanding and very friendly. There were no chairs inside but it is a small bar. The nihonshu (sake) was delicious, and we had chazuke which was fun. I forgot my scarf and it was still there when we came back. We had more drinks, and they let us play some music, and when we asked they showed us some music they like. It was enjoyable listening to music and practising our Japanese. This is why Kyoto is amazing.

The best meal I had on my whole trip in Japan! Every little bite was an explosion of flavours, from the yakitori to the dumplings, everything was delicious. And the atmosphere is so intimate and lovely, it was worth the hour-long wait. Super recommended!

We tried shojin-ryori with eggplant, fried tofu, broiled rice, vegan soy dumplings and salads. The quantity was less but the quality of food was excellent ✌🏻

I had a lot more than what is pictured, but I ate it too quickly to get a photo. The homemade soy sauce dumplings are amazing and everything on the platter was so nice and flavorful. I recommend trying as much as possible as it is all delicious. Not a lot of room to sit, but I came alone and got seated very quickly.

Cute little 6 seater. We had a wide selection of dishes and they were all excellent. Extraordinarily was the non-alcoholic wine selection. The chef was very friendly and speaks English well.

Incredible food, all vegan menu. The chef himself is vegan and very friendly. They have seating at the counter and tables outside. The chef and assistant were lovely, they were happy to let you eat quietly and very friendly if you wanted to talk. Excellent place. The restaurant is barely 6 months old so if you can visit, please do! The chef is very passionate about veganism.

Honestly, the best vegan restaurant we have been in Kyoto. The food is spot on, fresh and handmade. Cozy and informal atmosphere, the owners are quite relaxed and laid back. Can't wait to go back in a couple of days. The seats are limited so make sure you book to avoid moaning in the reviews. We have been thinking of kidnapping the chef as we liked it so much.

👍👍 I went there for the children section and it was very nice. They have a good soft playground for babies/toddlers and my son had a nice time there. In the parents room you can give food, clean and take care of your child, but also weith and measure him. This so convenient.
