I and my wife took a breakfast in November when we visited Kyoto. Restaurant is pretty new, front desk girl said they only opened about two months ago. Restaurant is bright with a sophisticated atmosphere. Service is of course five stars, food presentation is fantastic with Japanese traditional style and tasty. So far they only serve for breakfast but says they might open for dinner in the future. If I only say one sentence about this breakfast, I will say this is 完璧な視覚と味覚の交響曲の様な朝食でした。I will definitely visit restaurant again next time when I visit Kyoto.

We stopped by here on a whim while searching around the area for some breakfast/brunch. The staff got us seats even though it was a bit late and almost their closing time. The food was absolutely amazing here. Every was well-balanced, and delicious. This was attached to a hotel, I believe, but it's open to all guests. The ambiance was calm and relaxing. Very quiet. We went here after visiting the bamboo grove and the monkey park in the area. I'd highly recommend the same route for others.

Simply incredible, highly recommended foodie experience. They will get a Michelin Star sooner than they think, the environment, the way in which they work their privileged raw material… no ostentation, it has taken me to Michelin restaurants.

An excellent restaurant to taste the various Japanese dishes and the world of dashi located near the sights of the Arashiyama area. It was great to see the chef prepare the delicately crafted dishes in front of us and I cannot praise the egg omelette enough. It is one of the most delicious bites of food that I have ever had. At 3500 Yen, this is one of the deals of the area. It is a relatively new establishment and we kept muttering to ourselves during the meal that this place deserves a Michelin star soon. The staff here also speak great english.

Amazing experience. Very warm and professional staff. Can't Believe the quality for the price. Great presentation and realization of flavors. A few dishes felt like they could have been more interesting--but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The lounge after the meal with complementary coffee was very relaxing and welcome. Highly recommend!

Modern Zen restaurant serving supreme quality dashi soup based mostly vegeterian dishes. Excellent service especially the gentlemen at the reception area. Talk about chillaxing dining experience also stimulating the taste buds with every bite of food at the same time.

We make reservation but was early. They do have a waiting area by the side but they would not allow you to seat early so just make sure you account for that. The food was great for a cold winter morning. The side dishes were all really tasty and clean. I would suggest you get the sea bream supplemental.

You have to make reservations or get here at 45 min increments after 7:30. It’s a fixed menu experience that takes ~65-75 min. The pottery is very traditional and the plating is beautiful. The food is very interesting, can’t say I like all of the different types but would recommend any tourist try it out this unique dashi experience. I especially enjoyed the sea bream (sashimi like fish) at the end.

Amazing experience. From the kind receptionist who was patient and professional in welcoming us to the table for our lunch without a reservation, to the kind team who took pains to guide us on what we were eating and how to do so. Honestly, not everything suited our palates for the main course, but it was a wonderful introduction and overview of the finer parts of Japanese cuisine. Each dish was very deliberate and carefully executed. I need to emphasise that I have never tasted omelette so delicious before, and I have never had fish so tasty in my life. There were moments where I did not have words to explain how shocked the food made me feel, we had a funny moment where one of the team members mistook my euphoria from eating the omelette for scalding my mouth. I wish booking restaurant seats was easier as a tourist in Japan and when I do come back to kyoto I will seriously consider staying at the hotel that hosts this establishment.

This place is beautiful! Honestly I stumbled inside on accident trying to find a coffee shop 😂 it said breakfast but I wasn’t expecting the experience I got. Only word that can describe it is beautiful In you’re in northern Kyoto do yourself a favor and stop inside and have an enjoyable experience ❤️🙏🏾

Relax atmosphere and nice food. Pretty dish presentation and those vegetable dishes are real taste and perfect cooking time. We enjoy a free coffee in the cozy lounge with music after the lunch (bar table). Really love this place

Found this restaurant through Google maps and saw all the positive reviews so decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located at a quiet street across Togetsu-kyo Bridge. We were seated at the bar table and could see how the chefs prepared the dishes. Staff and chefs were friendly and many of them were able to speak English. Dishes were of high standard and innovative, and were all nicely presented. I especially liked the Japanese omelette - it was very soft and moist! It was overall a great and fun dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and I wish the restaurant great success.

Stellar restaurant, newer place. Their set menu traditional Japanese breakfast was well presented and delicious. It was a quiet restaurant with free coffee and comfortable chairs to hang out and chat at the end. Staff was top notch. Amazing way to start the day.

Found out about this place through Google Maps and we were not disappointed. The course meal might look small but it was very filling and delicious! Would recommend this especially for pescatarians. The price might be a bit above average but worth it!

A set course meal for lunch for 3500 yen. Creative, fine dining lunch highlighting local ingredients and unique flavour characteristics and dining experience. The food tasted good and was complex. Sat by the counter and it was fun watching the chefs prepare all the dishes. Portion’s actually perfect. I left feeling full. They have about 7 dishes and the main dish had 10 small plates a mix of vegetables, fish, and chicken. No English menu but you can use your Google translate to take a picture and translate. Made a reservation but the restaurant was not full at noon.

We went to Muku for lunch after visiting Arashiyama, it’s located across the bridge from the Arashiyama Bamboo forest area (and the popular Arabica location). The restaurant has a modern aesthetic to it, there are table and counter seats, we were seated at the counter which was a nice experience as you get to watch the food getting prepared. It is a set menu with a few optional addons, I would recommend coming hungry as there is quite a bit of food. There are multiple side dishes/appetizers that you are served leading up to the main course, many of the dishes contain a special broth that is described in the menu they provide. Lots of different flavours and you really feel like you are getting a taste of the more traditional side of Japanese food. The main course consists of 9 different small courses, each with its unique flavour, I would only suggest this restaurant for adventurous foodies. The couple beside us barely touched most of the food. We also added the add on for Dashizuke, they give you a ceramic filter where Bonito flakes are placed inside and you pour the broth into the filter to make the dashizuke broth. This dish was pretty disappointing as I usually love dashizuke dishes but doing it this way was really bland, I would not recommend getting the add-on.

We happened upon this place accidentally. We had come early to the Monkey Park but had not had breakfast. We decided to check if they served breakfast and sooooooo glad we did. This was such an amazing food experience. They made a special vegetarian version for my husband. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We missed going to the bamboo forest because we stayed longer here but very glad we did. Well worth it.

Each main dish was meticulously prepared and presented beautifully. A few of the dishes were unusual but overall it was a great experience noting the meal did not feel too heavy afterwards. There is an explanation for everything you eat. The grilled cutlass fish (1st main dish) was amazing! It is a short walk from the attractions around the area such as the bamboo forest.
