Visited the Tama Museum at Kishi Station. Tama (April 29, 1999 – June 22, 2015) was a female calico cat who gained fame for being a station master and operating officer at Kishi Station on the Kishigawa Line in Kinokawa, Wakayama. There is another calico cat there now. This fat cat was sleeping when we arrived at around 3 pm. Ride on the Tama (cat themed) train 🚊 back to Wakayama station.

和歌山電鐵の終点貴志駅に居ます。現在の駅長はニタマちゃんで文字通り二代目の猫駅長です。駅舎も猫の顔？になっており地方鉄道として頑張ってます。

Quite expensive and not really friendly to tourist, after tama the cat passed away this station( as a tourist attraction) kinda down. Went there when nitama out off duty so I meet yontama instead. As a note, nitama out of duty on thursday and friday, on that day yontama stay there, mostly sleeping.

平日火曜日はニタマ・よんたま両駅長が出勤日！ とのことで狙って行きましたが残念。。 この日ニタマさんが急遽体調不良でお休み、普段は伊太祈曽駅にいるよんたまさんが臨時で貴志駅に出勤していました。 初めての和歌山電鐵線、そして貴志駅。 改札出たところガラスケース内に有名な猫駅長さんがいました✨ ただ狭い空間に、ときには子供がガラスケース叩いてたりと、これはストレス溜まるだろうなと心配です。 行きと帰りで2度ケース覗いてみましたがずっと同じ場所にいて(猫飼いの身としては)気になって気になって。 和歌山電鐵さんが運営向上して(まぁ猫さんも頑張るのですが)、猫さんら幸せになること望みます🙏
