Amazing stay in Aso. Hotel stay comes with French dinner, evening performance (we had 2 opera singers), tour of the observatory (and if lucky, star gazing), and hotspring bath! Only shortcoming is room is a bit small, but typical of most Japanese hotels.

Beautiful old building that's been well updated. Service was super kind and the observatory tours were great. Some maintenance of the rooms could be improved (ventilation to avoid humidity in the bathroom).

Dinner and breakfast were both very good. The sky tour at night is beyond good. I love this place.

The 2 story room inside the main building was big and comfy. Everything in the room was great (if you like or are neutral to this style of design). I didn't like the sofa personally Food was so so and had room for improvements Stargazing experience was great esp for city folks who aren't used to rural dark skies

It is a very amazing experience of observing Mars Moon and Orion by detail introduction.

Amazing experience for a reasonable price of 1000 yen! If you come to Minamiaso and it's a clear night, make sure you visit here. You need to book in advance, so be sure to do so.

Really nice place, suitable for quite person. Manner of staffs which wonderful, facilities are good. Of course need to drive, if arrive by public transportation that is inconvenience.

It’s a good place for watching stars but not recommend for who will not drive. It’s really hard to come for us.
