It is set in an absolutely beautiful mountain forests area of Gunma Prefecture in a quaint European-looking vintage lodge that the owners have done a fantastic job remodeling. When we last visited, the large sakura tree was in full bloom in front of the lodge and made the atmosphere even more beautiful. Both the coffee my wife had and the hot chocolate I had were both very delicious. I’m sure the fact that the owners imported both the beans and the chocolate as well as roast the beans on-site is one reason why. And the owners are so nice and friendly and have a cute chocolate lab. The whole experience was great, and My wife and I look forward to visiting there again.

A lovely coffe roastery ,in an amazing spot-just next to the beautiful Tanigawa mountain! The owners are soo friendly and nice, and always willing to tell you more about the coffe beans that they are roasting there. !And the most important thing -the coffe is great

I went to that store today. The coffee and cake are also very delicious. The people at the store are also very nice. There was also a cute and gentle dog behind the shop. It has become my favorite store.

Stopped by on a way to Onsen on Saturday morning. Opened this year, the cafe is new and beautiful, and is located in the most beautiful area of Minakami. Each coffee is hand dripped and homemade cakes and soups were all so delicious! Owner is a really friendly Australian man(family) and I hope this place will be a landmark in Minakami !!

You’ll love the location and you’ll love the coffee even more. You’ll struggle to find a place anywhere in this region that puts so much care into selecting beans, roasting, and brewing their coffee. But the serious attitude about coffee doesn’t stop them from creating a really relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and they partner with a local bakery that makes sourdough pastries!! See you there next week. And the week after that.

Beautiful valley. Nice outdoor space. Finally a place that does great coffee. Roasted on site. Imported chocolate and welcoming atmosphere a bonus. Highly Recommended.

The staff are so incredibly welcoming and kind. Great variety of homemade cakes, which change every week. Beautiful location with outdoor seating. We were in Minakami for a month and visited Tanigawa Coffee Roastery once a week to play boardgames, relax, enjoy the scenery and yummy food. The owners are really knowledgeable about the area and gave recommendations on where to swim and hike. Definitely worth a visit! A nice memory of our time in minakami- thanks from I love Outdoors staff 😁
