豊後水道を望む、展望台からの眺めが素晴らしい公園。 縁結びの神様、粟嶋社へこの公園から歩いて行けます。 途中に縁結びモニュメントがあります。 この日は、あいにくの曇り空、快晴であれば沖を行く船も見えるでしょう。 八重桜となんじゃもんじゃが満開でした。 夕陽も美しいみたいです。

雨が降っていましたが、景観が良く癒される場所でした。桜の木が沢山あり桜の季節は美しいと思います。 公園内にピザやコーヒーが買えるお店があったのでアメリカーノを買いました。 とても美味しかったです。 ピザも食べたいのでまた近いうちに行こうと思ってます。

Best spot to see sunset

It’s breathtaking.

I cycled 108 km from Shimonoseki and found a quiet place to pitch my tent in Awashima Park. There is also a short trail that takes you to a little shrine right by the water, where you can watch the sunset. I bought some bento and beers at a supermarket on the way and had dinner there. The toilet stayed open 24 hours.

道の駅やドライブスルー並みに整備された公演で、駐車場、トイレの他、売店もあります。 日本一の夕日を堪能することはできませんが、高台から眺める海は絶景です。ただ、変なモニュメントは必要ないと思います。自然をウリにするなら人工的なものは極力排除してほしかったです。 なお、神社は公園奥にあり、小さな鳥居が遊歩道沿いにいくつかあるので、それを目印にしていくと10分以内でたどりつけます。
