(Translated by Google) It was my first visit. I saw some exhibits, but the video playing inside was interesting. The red hand towel displayed at the shop was out of stock. If you are decorating it, I want you to resell it. I think that the building itself has a history and is valuable, but I was worried about what would happen to the original building because a new memorial hall was under construction on the premises. A great exhibition of Asahikawa's Ainu Heritage. It's all combined inside a whole house that was built under imitation of an authentic Ainu house. There were carved wooden sculptures, embroidered clothes, Ainu hunting and daily tools, animal models and so on. The guide wasn't so supportive so the only information I could get was from some printed glossaries and automatic video. The museum also offers Ainu and Asappy souvenirs, as well as Ainu clothes for visitors to try on (with fees charged).

(Translated by Google) I've been worried for a long time and finally I was able to visit today Various items such as bear wood carving, clothes, tableware, stuffed animals, family photos, etc. are exhibited. I forgot the time and it was long There was a sculpture by Bikki Sunazawa, and I was excited about the work I had never seen. I understand the Ainu culture of Asahikawa There was also a work by Takeki Fujito It was a sculpture of Kaneto Kawamura It was a stone's throw The memorial hall is highly recommended (Original)

A memorial to Kawamura Kaneto, who fought to keep Ainu culture alive in the region and who later funded the museum. It is not very large but its unassuming nature and tight range of artefacts, photos, and Ainu crafts make it an important destination for anyone visiting the city. There is a store selling some handmade curios on site as well and the proceeds contribute to the community upkeep.

If you want to see carvings of bears catching salmon, or the last being smoked in a traditional Ainu way, this is the place for you!

A great little museum and exhibit on Ainu culture and history. Pairs great with a visit to the Asahikawa museum for a double dose of Ainu culture.

(Translated by Google) When there is no staff, you can press the intercom in the next building (... if not, in the next building / site) and offer to "visit the memorial hall". Some people may find the staff to be awkward at first glance, but all staff are willing to answer any questions.

(Translated by Google) The oldest Ainu memorial hall. Tell the history and life of the Ainu. The admission fee is 500 for one adult 💴. Just looking at what was exhibited in a cluttered manner, I feel that it is a little expensive considering the contents. Bear figurines and stuffed animals are on display. In addition, there is an exhibition explaining the lifestyle and traditions of the indigenous Ainu bear (god). It's not flashy, but I think it's a memorial hall like Hokkaido. For some reason, the bear wood carvings made by the Ainu are all round and cute, and you can't feel the roughness.

Interesting works but they just open the door and have you look around. Would have been better if someone would have been there to explain much of what we were looking at.

👍👍 This is a Science Museum, relatively small (you can also tell that by the size of its gift shop). However, I did have a very good time for hours with my little girl. All science demonstrations here delivered Science knowledge to kids, as well as funs (most with English description). Several staff...
