Come if you want to experience being treat like beggars and queer foods. Restaurant locates in Japan but the service is nowhere near the standard level of Japanese ones. Food's quality is poor, doesn't taste like Vietnamese food at all. The waiter was particular rude, didn't guide us to the table then talked with us in an impolite tone. He also didn't allow us to sit in one table and then didn't allow us to split the bill, saying the restaurant was busy while we were the last guests. Couldn't believe a restaurant like this exist in downtown Japan. (In picture: Bún bò Huế - Hue's vermicelli, nowhere near the taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisines)

Interesting to have authentic Vietnamese food in Kyoto not far from the station. Recommend the pho and spring roll

Seems like their lunch offer is good, but unfortunately I went during dinner time. I lived in countries where there are many Vietnamese restaurants done by Vietnamese people, so I love the taste of the soft but deep Vietnamese dishes. This place doesn’t have it. First of all, there’s no sauce bottles on the table, which says everything about this restaurant. The thing is that this is the only Vietnamese place around the Kyoto station, so if you are craving for Vietnamese food and don’t expect too much, this place is ok enough.

This place is very discriminating against foreigners and their food tastes like water with some leaves (aside from being spicy) We came one night as a group and they told us it was 無理 (impossible) for us to stay. My friend went in and talked to them for a while and they let us in with "it will take some time for you to get your food". In the end it wasn't even that long, but the food wasn't really that good. Tasted like water... a spicy one. They didn't even let us choose from the whole menu (although that may be some kind of rule for everyone). They seated us near the door (even though there was plenty of space for everyone at normal tables) and since it was winter, it got quite cold with everyone opening the door all the time. Overall I really would recommend thinking twice about coming here, as you may get treated badly, even though the price of their food would suggest otherwise.

I ordered Bun Bo Hue and it was really bad. The worst thing I have ever tasted. It is completely not Vietnamese food. It is supposed to be noodle with beef but only 2 small thin slices of pork(why pork?) and things I have never seen in any bun bo Hue in Vietnam. The soup have smell of chicken soup. As a Vietnamese, I really do not like the taste. It is not Bun Bo Hue of Vietnam. The way they arranged the food was untidy. I feel like they do not have any respects for the food and the customers.

Being Vietnamese, I am quite impressed with is place. They elevated the banh mi while still keeping all the Vietnamese flavors. They didn't change the pho', just prepared it carefully and correctly. Tasted exactly like my mother's. The price is reasonable and is really good for the quality. The Vietnamese staff was nice. The Japanese cashier/ manager was rude and arrogant. He was not very nice to me becuase I was a foreigner.

Nice view and design restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. Food were not particularly good but acceptable. Staff will keep coming to refill customers’ water cups, which is very nice. We ordered 1 bowl of phở bò (Vietnamese beef pho) and 1 bowl of bún chả giò (deep fried spring rolls noodles). Hope the pictures help your decisions whether or not to try it out 🥰✨

We used to dine at the one in Shijuku Takashimaya every weekend before 2019 and loved the beef noodles. It's a pleasant surprise to find a sister restaurant here in Kyoto and our favorite beef noodles taste just as delicious. But the portion is pretty much a 30% size down compare to what we remembered 😂 Inflation~~~goodbye the good old days🤣 For coffee lovers, the black coffee here is highly recommended!

Very nice environment but not good service. I found an alive insect in my harumaki. I understand that insect can come with veggies from farm but i think they should’ve wash it carefully. It totally ruined my mood for dinner. Food tasted fine but nothing impressive. I’m sure that I can find much delicious Vietnamese food for more affordable price in somewhere else.

Enjoyed the food. Good variety of choice. Has some western food (sausage, bacon, scambled egg), with mainly Vietnamese variety of others. Was cheap as well - 1500 yen pp. Nice environment as well. Good amount of people enjoying breakfast but not overly crowded, and the staff kept the buffet well supplied.

We brought our friend's family to this restaurant for dinner, a party of seven. We opted for the Banh xeo and Banh Khot as appetizers, but unfortunately, they arrived after our main courses. The Pho lacked bean sprouts and basil, the Bun Bo Hue was flavorless, and the fried rice was excessively salty. Additionally, the portion sizes were disappointingly small. Overall, we found the quality of all the dishes to be subpar. In hindsight, I regret not staying at the Kyoto Station skyline, where we could have enjoyed better food for the same price.

Very delicious and affordable Vietnamese food. We went there because all the food courts near Kyoto Main station were overcrowded with people: No chance to eat without to queue up. The Vietnamese resto was ok and the food as I said very nice.

👍👍 I recently visited the food hall located in the basement of Daimaru Kyoto and was blown away by the amazing selection of Japanese food available. Not only was the food delicious, but the prices were very reasonable as well, making it an excellent option for those who want to experience good Japanese...

👍👍 I went there for the children section and it was very nice. They have a good soft playground for babies/toddlers and my son had a nice time there. In the parents room you can give food, clean and take care of your child, but also weith and measure him. This so convenient.
