THIS IS A PRIVATE BEACH. HOTEL GUESTS ONLY. There are claims on the internet that you can pay staff at the hotel to access the beach. We came all the way from Ishigaki as google had the beach listed as a public beach. The staff were inflexible about letting us go there and it was off season. Can’t rate the beach itself.

Nice well maintained beach near the Haimurubushi Resort. There is free coffee and tea available until 4 pm, then there is a dinner and drink menu. The food is good at reasonable prices. We had pizza, salad, pasta, Thai green curry, with Orion draft beer, and all was delicious, generous portions. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are comfortable lounge chairs under umbrellas, a bathroom and showers to rinse sand off your feet.

Beautiful beach, but impossible to swim during low tide, which unfortunately was most of the time we were there. The starry sky on a clear night is amazing!

First of all, the hotel itself is superb - just the relaxing atmosphere and it’s got the “island vibe”. Almost feel like the time slows down while we’re here. The beach is super shallow at certain time to the point it does not suit for swimming at all. Restricted areas for swimming as they also have activities like Jet ski, banana boat etc etc (the time for swimming as well as these activity details are all noted on their website too!). Just soooooo beautiful experience. Oh NOT FORGET TO MENTION… The night sky (star gazing) here is AMAZING…. I would just sleep here if possible, so many shooting stars too…❤️

Beach is beautiful. There could be more place to swim though.

Beware! This is a private beach and the staff will not allow you to use it! Really despicable form of development capitalism. Take your vacation elsewhere.

We were very happy about the extraordinary support of the staff and the beautiful area of the hotel location. Many thanks to Stephane, the hotel manager who makes a great job in combining Japanese tradition with expected western comfort. We warmly recommend staying in the hotel enjoying and relaxing in an amazing location.

Absolutely beautiful. Comfortable cushioned beach chairs with parosols and wicker tables. Has a cafe, outdoor showers, and bathrooms witg changing rooms. Inflatable toys are available in the swimming area. At night it turns into Hoshizora Cafe, where you can order snacks and drinks and enjoy the beach after dark. About a 15 minute walk from the center house. Private beach for resort guests.

We had fun on water plots, where we could jump and vie against each other about who is better holding a stand-balance :D
