I went there and did activities with the kids during summer vacation. We had fun playing at Tokashiku Beach and having a campfire at the community center. Also, since the air conditioner in the accommodation building was not available during the day, we chose a spot in the shade of a tree and enjoyed the magnificent view of the deep blue white waves of the East China Sea and the vastness of the distance. The bathroom building was far away, but the site was surrounded by hubs to prevent them from entering, so I didn't worry about it too much and moved around with just a flashlight🔦.

In my grandparents' generation, I could never have imagined that such a peaceful and beautiful place was a war zone. I learned the value of peace on a school trip. As it was a US military base, it was built like the US military Ikego housing in Yokosuka. A shower is provided.

I passed by the place, and the view was nice. It looks like it could be used as a filming location for a werewolf game or a movie like Battle Royale.

2024.01.31 This facility was built in a location overlooking the east coast near where the mass suicide took place. There is a national facility like this. We took photos in the square on the premises and borrowed the restroom. thank you.

It was used for domestic training. A selection of junior high school students from all over the country and students from Haebaru High School's local culture course also participated and enjoyed the local performing arts of Okinawa. It's been 4 years since we held a real event on Tokashiki Island, but I'm glad we did it! That's what I think. I would like to thank you for allowing me to have a wonderful learning experience that will become a memory in a wonderful location and facilities.

If the weather is clear, the views from the front of the main building, the west observation deck, and the east observation deck are spectacular!

The sea is too beautiful! There are clear differences between national and prefectural facilities. In the prefectural government, there are places where the service has deteriorated due to designated managers (assertion). Tokashiki has deep pockets and plenty of time. A must-see island!

When throwing away garbage, you have to buy a special garbage bag, and you can buy 500ml of Irohas for 200 yen. If you don't have shampoo or body soap, you will be forced to buy them at the shop. Money is needed everywhere. Also, there are name tags for sweets, daily necessities, miscellaneous goods, etc. at the shop, but they were all missing. When I asked if they had shampoo and body products, I was told that they didn't have them. Please be careful not to forget your toiletries, as they probably won't be replenished. We couldn't shampoo our hair on the first day. There were other things about cleaning that shouldn't have happened. Even though there are several hairs in the room that aren't theirs, they clean up when they leave and if even a single hair falls out, they have to start over. I'm not sure what happened when I came to this youth's home, but my concept of normality was shattered. For example, I find myself thinking about things that are not normal, such as needing money to get a second helping of food or taking a shower. It felt like living in a prison.
