楽しみにしていましたが曇天で天体見られす。ざんねんです。 「りくり」は日本で6番目に大きい反射望遠鏡とか。 スタッフの方々も一生懸命対応していただきました。 この天文台に気軽に来られる方々がうらやましいです。

生憎の曇り空で星は見れませんでしたが、ドームを開いて国内最大級の反射望遠鏡を動かしてもらえました。 ちょうど明日2022/10/06の夜に海王星の衛星トリトンの恒星食を観測するために米国から専門家が訪れるとか。そんな天文台に来て動く姿が見れただけでも感激です。

初めて天文台に行ってみました。 大きな望遠鏡が有りました〜職員さんが色々と教えてくれて昼間でも惑星を見ることが出来ましたが、夜間に来て見てみたいと思いました。 18時までは大人300円夜間は500円。9月までは22時30分まで開館、10月〜3月は13時〜21時30まででした。 小さなプラネタリウムも有り、次回は見てみたいと思います。

Highly underrated activity for locals and overseas visitors. Wonderful star/galaxy/binary stars/star cluster/supernova(!) viewing using one of the largest telescopes in Japan! Very friendly staff took time to point the massive telescope towards celestial subjects from as close as our moon to as far as galaxies millions of light years away. Visitors can simply walk-in without advance booking and purchase tickets at the reception (cheap and highly worthwhile). We arrived at 8:30pm and stayed for close to an hour.

We got to see millions of lightyears into the past with this giant telescope. The sky wasn’t completely clear, clouds moved in and out, and it was nearly full moon, yet it turned out to be a good night for viewing. Among the objects we viewed were various colors of stars (blues and reds were wonderous), whole galaxies, a red giant, a supernova. We were two adults who came out of it having experienced much wonder. Big thank you to the staff member who showed us around the universe. On our way back, we were the only ones on the road and drove while spotting wildlife—including foxes, deer, raccoon dogs, and hares. Highly recommended!

Dedicated staff who pointed out so many things to see, and directed the huge telescope for us! Good to go when it's not the full moon, so that you can see more.

訪問時はあいにくの曇り空でしたが、初の天文台だったこともあり、大型の望遠鏡が動くのを見るだけでもカッコよかったです。 翌日知床で見た星空も素晴らしかったので、天候が良ければ相当綺麗な夜空を楽しめるのではないかと思います。 展示されている内容も面白かったので、子供たちも楽しめました。

しばれフェスティバルのときに利用しました。 シャトルバスが出ていて便利でした。 天気も良くて絶好の天体観測日和。 暗くてちょっと怖い感じもしましたが大きな望遠鏡での天体観測は初めて感動です。 スタッフの方の対応もよくまた訪れたいです。オーロラに関する展示もあり、日本でオーロラを見ることができるなら見てみたいですね。
