Very nice and relaxing experience. This onsen allows tattoos and has a wonderful view of Mount Fuji. I really enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend going.

Great view from the spa pools, temperature is just right. Only accessible by car. Bring your own towel and leave your bags in your car because their locker costs 100 yen and not very big. 800 yen per person.

If you are finding hot spring spa around here, This is definitely an option! The scenery from the open air bath is really something. You can eat some snacks at food stands if you feel peckish. Try “fried” boiled-eggs. A little bit far from Yamanashi-shi station of JR, so I recommend you to come with a car or taxi. E-bike rental service is available at the city hall near the station. I tried to climb the hill towards this spa and it was very steep yet, it’s also worth to climb!

If you want to see sunrise, you have to go 1 hour earier than sunrise time. A lot of people are there. I couln't get in "Atchi-no-yu" due to its capacity. From men's bath you can still see the sunrise and Mt. Fuji!

It‘s a nice place with an amazing view. Something to mention, tattoos are welcome and you are not required to cover them up! There are three different pools with different temperatures, going from very hot to warm. This Onsen provides two areas, one for men and another for women, strictly separated from each other. You can bring your own towels, or just buy them for some little money. It’s eventually not the cleanest place, but I honestly don’t know if that is just the standard.

A wonderful onsen area with great view to the exterior landscape. If you like onsen with great views, this is the place to come. If you hiked Daibutsu Mountain, this is a great place to come afterwards.

Direct nonobstructive views of Mt. Fuji from the entire Onsen/Picnic table areas! There are 2 Onsens - Achi no Yuu (Onsen over there) and Kochi no Yuu (Onsen over here). Visited the Achi as Kochi was closed (its a smaller outdoor onsen facility). 800 yen to enter but please don`t to forget to bring both a little body towel (to hide your private parts) and a bath towel for the shower. 200 yen hand and 1000 yen body towels are sold here but they are extremely thin. 100 yen non-refundable shoe lockers at the entrance and very large lockers inside the changing room... I suggest storing everything in the large square lockers. About 30 sit-down showering spots... extremely spacious. They provide body soap and shampoo in rinse (not too friendly to delicate hair). For women I suggest you bring your own small travel kit. Very hot indoor onsen in the showering area (I was in and out in moment... too hot!) The upper outdoor rectangle onsen was the perfect temperature and there were several stone onsens in the lower area. Tattoo friendly as there were a few Japanese guests with them.

The hot springs facility looks up at Mt. Fuji and down on the Kofu basin by day, and commands a view of the reputed "ceiling of starry skies" at night.Visitors can enjoy the changing of the seasons: a blanket of peach flowers covers the Kofu basin in spring, a cool breeze reaches the location 700m above sea level in summer, the mountain range is embraced in red leaves in autumn, and the sky is thickly sprinkled with starts in winter. The site's two hot springs are Acchi-no-yu ("that bath") and Kocchi-no-yu ("this bath").Kocchi-no-yu is the facility's first bath that enjoys perpetual popularity. It consists of an open-air hot spring made of wood and stone, and an indoor bath fragrant of wood. It offers a view of Mt. Fuji in front, and the ridge of Mt. Kabuto (one of Yamanashi's 100 celebrated mountains) to the right. On the other hand, Acchi-no-yu which opened in the end of the Heisei 15 (2003) is doubled in size of the Kocchi-no-yu.It is popular as its grandeur and the location which commands the view of Kofu basin which had been authorized as the new Japan's best three night view. The bath which you can see the fantastic sunrise from is this Acchi-no-yu bath. Moreover, the original spring water of Acchi-no-yu is gushing from 1,500 meters under ground of crush zone, and that PH is 10.1 which is high level, and it will help your skin get smooth and will prevent you from feeling chill after a bath. After bathing, the specialty food, Ontama-Age meets your appetite.Spring quality: Acchi-no-Yu :alkaline simple hot spring/ Koccino-yu :alkaline simple hot spring (hot spring alkaline hypotonic)Effect: Neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulder syndrome, poor circulation, fatigue recovery, health promotion(Wine List of Yamanashi Prefecture)The shop in the site is selling 50 varieties of wine from Yamanashi prefecture.

I don't know why people rate this so highly. The price is 800yen, but actually 900yen because the locker eats the 100 yen and doesn't give it back. For what it is, it's expensive. I have been in better ones for 400yen. Everything seems run down just not enough to hate it. But the worst is the cleanliness. There's 3 pools. One inside (hottest), one square pool outside (second hottest) and a big outside lukewarm rock pool. That rock pool should be called hair soup, not onsen. It's filthy. There's all kinds of stuff floating in that one. The other two are filtered better. I have a strange rash that I never had after visiting here. I hope I don't have to see a doctor about it! Given that, I'm already prepared to get a yeast infection from this visit. Yeah there's mount Fuji view, but others have it either. Feels like it's mainly overrated by tourists that have never been to any onsen before.

Amazing onsen with wide panoramic views of Kofu the southern Japanese alps and Mt Fuji in the distance (if not cloudy). We went Friday evening and returned on Saturday since we enjoyed it so much. On Saturday the shops next to the onsen opened and served hot food and drinks into the night. Also recommend for the high pH water which helps if you have sensitive skin.

This sight must be one of the most strange atmosphere if you’ve never experienced Japanese Onsen (hot spring). Everyone gotta naked and await for sunshine,,, is unique experience you could enjoy in this area except fruit hunting.

Beautiful views with a nice hot soak. Three pools in the ladies area, with one indoors, and two out. Tattoo friendly, and definitely worth the visit. There’s an awesome and funny terrycloth towel for sale, if you’re spur of the moment, and everything else you’ll need for a good soak and shower. Highly recommended by this gaigin. I love it!

Enjoyed amazing view from Kocchi-no-yu (original spring). You will see Mt.Fuji literally just in front of you from clear and relaxing bath!

4 stars when empty without the crowds, 3 stars with the crowds. Fairly clean although age is starting to show in the shower area. A must visit for somebody visiting Japan once in a lifetime I guess. Views of Mt. Fuji are great, baths are great. Food and other facilities below average compared to other onsens. The location sells here.. I still prefer "Mitama no yu" on the other side of the valley or couple of smaller onsens I won't mention online. Fresh water is the key for me, many onsens "recycle and filter" water to go back into the baths, I avoid those.... just my 2 cents. Local's tips: Avoid crowds, best time to visit is weekdays 8am-2pm outside of school holidays and national holidays. When entry on the right - 3rd shower from the wall in the block behind indoor pool - does not stop so no need to push handle every 30secs ;-)

Loved the three outdoors baths. The inside one and the showers are all very clean. Friendly owners, simple system. I recommend bringing your own towel (and washcloth)! Sunrise over the mountains was beautiful and Mt Fuji kept us company ❤

On a clear day you have the perfect view of Mt. Fuji. There are multiple baths so you can have a slightly different experience each time.

Enjoyed this “Hottakarashi” or opposite meaning of Omotenashi experience onsen hot springs. It means “leave it be” or “let it go” and casual relax style. It’s 22 years old, but clean, fine view of Koshu valley, Fujii. The sun rise is one nice attraction, while sitting in the outdoor pools. Not so greasy or sticky onsen waters, more just pure clean alkaline type. Big gravel parking area, buy a towel for 200 yen, entry is 800 yen.

This onsen (hot spring) sits on a high elevation which makes for a perfect view of Mt. Fuji. The onsen has a fairly large parking lot so it can accommodate up to 50 cars? The place takes only cash as payment, even the mediocre souvenir shops. The onsen itself isn't too bad and has one indoor and 3 outdoor ones for Men. You can get a good glimpse of Mt. Fuji so long as the sun isn't in your face. Overall this is a good place to relax and get away from your city.

Water level was a bit shallow in the outdoor bath and not so many different bath options but the view was indeed amazon. The atmosphere at this onsen had an ok feeling.

👍👍 One of the most amazing hikes in Japan! 10 kilometers surrounding a gorge with countless beautiful waterfalls. It's free and one of a kind. The water is a beautiful teal color and the trail, while dangerous at times, is well kept and marked.
