This
farmstay
was
one
of
our
all-time
favorite
experiences
in
Japan.
The
property
was
a
beautifully
renovated
and
decorated
kominka.
We
had
the
place
to
ourselves
during
our
stay.
The
food
was
plentiful,
delicious,
and
nutritious,
with
the
dinner
served
at
an
irori
hearth
and
breakfast
served
wherever
you'd
like.
We
enjoyed
how
the
meals
really
showcased
the
local
area
and
community,
with
locally
grown
vegetables,
local
meats
including
deer,
boar,
and
fish,
and
even
things
like
delicious
peanut
ice
cream
made
by
a
neighboring
family's
daughter.
The
most
remarkable
and
special
part
for
us
was
the
hospitality
from
our
hosts,
Keita,
Miki,
and
Yuko-san.
They
formed
an
entire
personalized
itinerary
for
us
filled
with
wonderful
experiences.
We
were
able
to
engrave
our
own
personalized
hanko
stamps
and
then
use
them
for
the
first
time
in
a
tea
ceremony
/
stamp
ceremony.
Another
highlight
was
making
our
own
goshuincho
books,
and
then
having
the
opportunity
to
have
them
stamped
at
a
beautiful
temple
nearby.
Our
hosts
were
able
to
tailor
things
very
well
to
what
we
wanted
to
see
-
for
example
Keita
took
us
to
different
onsens
with
unique
styles
every
night,
and
gave
us
a
ride
to
a
scenic
point
(twice)
to
try
to
get
a
view
of
Mount
Fuji.
We
only
stayed
3
days,
but
by
the
time
we
had
to
go,
it
felt
like
saying
goodbye
to
family.
I
hope
to
stay
again!
