Never a dull moment. If you want to get in some laughs before the end of the week, good place to pop by. Filled with a line up of great comedians, you won’t feel the hour pass by.

Went on a whim to see the main show and ended up staying for the open mic after because it was so fun. Will come again. Great vibe and bar. Gives you breaks between sets so you can get more drinks without having to feel awkward getting up while someone is talking. English and Japanese speaking staff. Credit card accepted. Good price for craft drinks. Go!

I was looking for an open mic in English in Tokyo and stumbled upon this place. Missed the open mic (I think it's once a week) but they were doing a comedy showcase so my wife and I bought tickets. It was fantastic!! Four comics, including the owner who is a first class guy. Atmosphere was very friendly and the comics were hilarious. Headliner was from Liverpool. I travel here frequently because my wife is from Japan. I will definitely be back and I recommend 100%.

Very good atmosphere and a broad number of comedians! Chairs are uncomfortable and would recommend adding some cushion to them or changing the chairs especially since we are sitting there for more then 1 hour. Other than that everything was fun.

The bar is a small, but well-thought out space that just opened in May of 2022! It's right around the corner from from Shibuya Scramble. The bartenders are nice, it's a great place for comedians to practice delivering sets because it's open to everyone and the crowd tends to be smaller and more intimate. Could recommend for both comedians and those who like to go watch comedy. I only has drinks, so don't know what the food options taste like.

Comedy is my new favorite travel tip. I caught English-language standup abroad for the first time when I went to see Vickie Wang at the 23 comedy club in Taipei. I was delighted by the way the jokes gave new light to local context, and how the local context helped make the material really fresh and funny. Tokyo Comedy Bar was just as delightful. The only time we could go was Wednesday night, which was a small crowd - but all the better, because we got to be part of the show. The crowd work was excellent, and by the break we felt like friends. It was a mix of expats and tourists, which also made for a fun exchange. The comedy was at its best when the comedians engaged with local material - heckling us for our visit to akihabara, for example. We went to the 7:30 show, which was very funny, and then stayed for the “hot off the fax” show, which had a few groaners. But by that point, the crowd and the performers had connected, so it felt like we were all in on the joke.

It was awesome! Just came back from a English show and had so much fun! The hosts and the comedians were super sweet and hilarious! I hope I can catch another show before I leave again. Definetly a must when you are in Tokio!

I love visiting comedy shows in other places I visit. It is great to see the way others see the world through the lens of comedy and Tokyo Comedy Bar delivered an amazing world view in a welcoming envioronment. We laughed so muchland had a great time. I highly recommend people to visit. It's a good blend of locals and tourists.

I went to a Monday Showcase and the open mic. Was absolutely brilliant even with a small crowd, and the open mic was a very welcoming atmosphere and audience for people to work new material or try stand up for the first time. Will definitely visit next time I’m in Tokyo! Molly (London, UK)

Amazing experience to connect with diverse (and very funny!) people in Tokyo. We are so glad we chose to venture and visit.a comedy bar in Tokyo which is rare. If you're looking to meet awesome people, laugh and just have a memorable time, visit this place! Kat and Masa were super friendly and welcoming. Have a bit of sarcasm and enjoy your night!

Had a great time at the comedy workshop with BJ fox. Felt so welcomed and actually so keen to do open Mike next week. Stayed for the comedy show after and laughed so much. It was great to hear so many relatable jokes about life in Japan.

Went for the new nightly stand-up showcase and wasn't expecting much because it's just a random Wednesday night, but it turns out to be very enjoyable. The hosts and performers were very funny, interactive and friendly. Definitely would return!

Best night of the trip so far!!! Little tricky to find the place (as I was back in town for the first time in 10 years!) but extremely friendly and accommodating, caring staff. I was over the moon to have watched one of the headliner’s performance with my little daughter..🩷🤩👏👏👏

Had a great time last night. Would definitely go again. The show featured a range of expat comedians who understood the culture as well as remembering the joys of being a tourist. The venue was lovely with a great selection of beers & really created an atmosphere that was easy to laugh in & connect. Would definitely recommend. BJ, the MC, was brilliant.

I went to TCB both as a performer and a guest. I had a fantastic experience. As a open-mic performer I was welcomed very warmly even though I am older (no ageism) and had not performed in 30 years. Everyone was encouraging and positive. As a guest I was impressed by how professional and friendly everyone was, including the MC for each night. It was also nice that there was quite a spectrum of people there; tourists, expats, Japanese and people with Japanese/non-Japanese parents. Great to hear so many perspectives. Easy to make friends. I highly recommend going there for a fun and funny night out!
