Best experience, I had in Japan so far. Amazing local food and really authentic interiors. Hosts are amazing. It was great experience.

Fun, rustic cabin with a large and beautiful room overlooking the river. Come for the atmosphere and come again for the food. It’s fabulous. Everything is homemade, fresh or pickled & from local ingredients. On the first night we had venison and boar on the second bear. Amazing. Super friendly couple running in the place, the stay is worth every penny.

A magical place. Highly recommend. The interior with the tree bark is unique and cool. The husband-and-wife team are super kind and thoughtful and full of facts about the area. Futons and pillows are nice and soft. We went as a six-person group and had plenty of room. All the food and drinks are WOW. When venturing this deep inland from Tokyo, rather than staying in a typical accommodation, it’s great to stay in a place like this that lets you feel you’re really far from the concrete jungle. Yet it has all amenities and is super clean. It’s best to have at least one confident Japanese speaker in your group so you can fully appreciate explanations of the food and location. You’ll eat types of mushrooms you didn’t know existed. If you’re interested in hunting and foraging you can find out more about how they procured the food. Even if you have no interest in that, you can just appreciate it as a great experience. Take care about the operating hours of the adjacent onsen — it closes pretty early in the evening so get there early if you want to have a bath, then have dinner afterwards. If you miss out in the evening, it’s also open in the morning.

It was an amazing experience! The room was very nice and the dinner and breakfast was the best that I had in all my trip in Japan! The owners are very nice and friendly. I totally recommend it and I will for sure come back here when I will have the chance!

Amazing place. Incredibly welcoming and comfortable. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. All veggies and fruits are either grown or foraged. Easy to get to via bus. Has an onsen next door. Could not recommend this place enough.

This place literally could not be more adorable. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and polite. The location is gorgeous and the food is a one-of-a-kind experience. I can't say enough good things about this place. Definitely not to be missed!

The dinner I had here was one of the best meals I have ever eaten! Everything was fresh and delicious. Everything is very cozy and beautiful!

秘湯・奈良田温泉に入りたくてお世話になりましたが、次回はこちらのお宿をメインの目的としてまた来たいです。 1日1組ってだけで既に贅沢なのに、丁寧にお料理された自家製の食材はどれもこれもすべて美味しく、舌もお腹も大満足！！ここでしか食べられないものをたくさんいただきました。季節ごとに提供していただけるものが変わるようなので、また違う時期に来てみたいです。 隣接の奈良田温泉のお湯はトロットロで、入り放題のチケットをいただいて何回も入浴できたのもまた贅沢な時間でした。 人見知りの夫が普通にお話ししてたのがちょっと衝撃でした（笑）。おふたりの温かいお人柄によるものだと思います。

24/1/2-1/3で宿泊させて頂きました。 お忙しい中、下部温泉駅まで送迎頂きありがとうございました。 お宿、サービス、お食事、いずれも最高に贅沢な体験でした。 お食事は、地元の山、川、畑の恵をオーナーご夫妻が丁寧に調理されたものを囲炉裏で頂きました。 自家製酒も充実しており、やまぶどうと松葉酒を戴きましたが、どちらも素材本来の風味を存分に楽しめました。 夜ご飯は鹿肉のジビエ中心でどれも絶品。 我々がジビエが好きであることをお伝えしたところ、メニュー外にも関わらず、鹿の希少部位（ハツ、タン）を初体験させて頂きました。 あまりの美味しさに写真撮影前に食べきってしまいましたが。 朝ご飯はお正月スペシャルとお餅御膳。 朝から全て美味でしたが、特に白いんげん餡に包まれたくりきんとん、絶品でした。 素材本来の味を活かしつつ、一品一品丁寧に、また何かしらの工夫があり、五感フルで楽しめ、大満足の旅になりました！ 季節毎の旬を楽しみに、また訪問させて頂ければ幸いです。
