I stopped by for the first time. The document states that this dam is a dam exclusively for water supply managed by the Water and Sewerage Department of the Hakodate City Enterprise Bureau. The first water bottle in Japan was built in December 1923 (Taisho 12), and it is still in operation today as a water bottle for Hakodate citizens. It's called a buttress dam, and there are currently only six of them in Japan, and it's a dam with high historical value. ️. According to the data, the artificial lake created by the dam was selected as one of the top 100 dam lakes in 2005 as a sasagare reservoir.

The autumn leaves here can truly be described as fiery red, so you should definitely see it with your own eyes. When you go up to the dam, there are a lot of ducks, so there are a few people with cameras. The park itself is small and there is a parking lot, so I think it's perfect for a quick stop or a walk. I would like to go again while the trees are still colored.

Sasaryu Dam is located in Akagawa-cho, Hakodate City. This dam was built in 1922 and was the first dam in Japan to have a structure known as a buttress dam.It was built using a method of supporting walls with lattice-shaped concrete pillars in order to save on concrete, which was expensive at the time. Along the way, concrete reinforcement work was carried out to give it its current, massive appearance. There is a park below the dam, and the left hand side is The towering giant cedar trees are a sight to behold. The trees in the park are beautifully maintained and it is a place of relaxation for the citizens. The autumn leaves🍁 season is beautiful🤠

It's scary to think that there's so much water on the other side, but there aren't many dams that you can get up close to and look up at from below.

Visited in November 2023 The autumn leaves were beautiful. Dumb card? are distributed at places like the exchange center on Jujigai. Be careful as it overlaps with the bear habitat.

This is a buttress dam, which is an excellent example of Japanese architecture, and has a deep history, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Mosquitoes are flying all over the place, so be careful and enjoy the view.

``Ameyadori'' blooms when the Someiyoshino cherry blossoms finish and the double cherry blossoms bloom. It's a truly magnificent old tree, and I look forward to seeing it bloom every year. Thank you for taking good care of it. I’m looking forward to seeing you again next year! I also love that the name is written on the tree!

It was beautiful. There were a lot of snow bugs, but I think it's a good day for a walk when the weather is nice and the wind is calm.

Japan's first buttress dam with concrete intersecting in a grid pattern. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with trees and lawns, and the promenade goes right under the dam so you can see it up close. There are cherry blossoms and trees with autumn leaves on the premises, so you can enjoy the changing seasons.
