Great informal, relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere, plus delicious cocktails to boast, be sure to ask for Sam's gin&tonic! Sam made us feel right at home so we're definitely coming back and try their homemade curry!

Sam is the best host you can find, the first time I met the guy he made me feel like we knew each other for a while. His hospitality and ability to make feel people comfortable around people you don't know is what makes him the perfect host. There are so many beers it feels like home no matter where you come from.

Had an amazing time at this bar that has just opened in Shibuya. Laid back feeling and Sam is an amazing host. 11/10 would visit again!

Really enjoyed the layout and atmosphere. Easy to chat with folks if you are solo but also good for groups. The projector and music videos on the wall add a great vibe. Sam is an old hand at the bar and knows how to make sure everyone is enjoying their time. Super nice of him to help break the ice with new groups.

I went to the Language Exchange event while traveling in Japan, and I had a great time. The owner was very welcoming and helped creating a very nice atmosphere for hanging out with new people. I highly recommend going to these language exchange events at Sam's Bar if you are interested in meeting new people.

Sam is a super sweet bar owner! Originally from Chicago and in Tokyo for years, his bar is super welcoming to internationals and natives alike. It’s super cute and the atmosphere is nice. He also offers bag storage service, which I used his bar for. Left my bag for 5 days straight and it was just as I left it. Thanks Sam!

Sam is a warm, personable, and friendly host. His place feels like you are hanging out in a friend’s cool apartment rather than an impersonal bar where you are just a patron. He seems like a very nice man, had a good selection of cold beers in chilled glasses, and an assortment of board games (he agreed to be our fourth when we needed someone for a game!). We came right at opening and were the first ones there, so he let us choose the music and showed us some nice JPop songs. Will definitely go back if I am in the area.

Great place for English conversation if you are a local or a traveler and good selection of craft beers! Host Sam is awesome to talk to and will take good care of you. Highly recommended.
