This was my first time to Japan and wow is all I can say. The culture, the food, and the people are fantastic. Japan Ski tours put together a great operation that lets you dive into small tucked away resorts that have no lift lines, plenty of terrain and if you’re lucky all that tasty Japow that you can handle. Four of us came in this trip with no expectations. We’re all agreeing this was one of the best decisions that we’ve ever made. It’s been amazing experience thus far. We will be back!

What an amazing trip and experience! Everything from day one was well planned. Our tour host, Doug, was absolutely amazing with navigating us through the trip and answering our questions along the way. Thank you so much!

This tour was very well organized. The resorts were small, independent hills with charm and plenty of snow. The hotels were also charming with great food and hot springs at each location. Transportation and logistics are arranged with the ease of the clients in mind. Japan Ski Tours exceeded all expectations and I would highly recommend this tour for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.

Amazing trip! All the details were extremely well taken care of, the authentic Japanese experience was really something special...and we happened to have GREAT snow for the first half of the trip. All in all I would highly recommend JST for any skiing/riding trip you're interested in doing in Japan. These guys did an amazing job of taking care of us!

Incredible memories with Japan Ski Tours. They have worked hard to gain access to some formerly off limits areas. Feeling incredibly grateful for the experience Japan Ski Tours brought to our expedition. Our guides were fun, engaging and very thorough.

Japan ski tour was a blast! It was amazing to not have to think about anything for a week except showing up on time with our gear as they had everything figured out! Great snow, yummy dinner spots and cool onsens we would’ve never found on our own, guides were funny and nice. My sister and I loved every moment. Thanks JST!

The 10 day Tohoku ski trip was awesome! The skiing was wonderful, had fresh powder on 4 days, food was amazing, lodging was great (some was authentic Japanese, cool experience), onsens were relaxing every night, customer service was outstanding and the Japanese people could not have been more respectful. Doug Potter was our tour guide and he did a great job of keeping us informed about transportation, transfers, answering questions and offering information where to ski at the various ski areas. I would definitely do this trip again.

Truly enjoyed the entire experience. Skiing, Cultural adventures, the food, scheduling, the guides - all on top of their games and making every effort to make this a memorable lifetime trip. Thanks very much for a wonderful trip! We'll be back for more!

A great way to visit northern Honshu for the first time. The guides were very professional and found fresh powder for almost every run during the six ski days. The visit to Hakkoda topped off a wonderful tour.

Beyond expectations. Our awesome guides - Taro + Chris (our main guys), Vince (Snow safety guy) and occasionally Brent (mastermind guy) - took us to local ski hills with side country filled with surprise powder stashes, steep craters, and fun Beech Tree forest runs that went on forever. Our accommodation in Morioka was fabulous. Mother nature held back on the powder for a couple days, but our guides helped us make the most of our time on the slopes and off - taking us to traditional onsens, unique Japanese restaurants, a Sake brewery, temples and shrines. Hakkoda touring (amongst the snow monsters) and skiing was magical. If you are lucky enough to have Taro as your guide, there may be an opportunity to hear him play the Shamisen lute - don't miss out on this special gem! I loved everything about this trip - and do recommend JST to make it a memorable one for you!

Another amazing trip with JST! My husband and I did the 8-day guided Tohoku Storm Chaser February 2, 2023. The logistics were well managed, any time we had a question it was answered quickly, before and during the trip, our guides Chris and Paul are top notch (Morioka area) , always finding the best pow every day. In the Hakkoda area, the "snow monsters" at the top of the tram were surreal, what else can I say. Once again, our guides Taro and Sato, for the Hakkoda area were fantastic! The food was always something to look forward to, we went to authentic local restaurants every night... Both times we skied with JST, I had a sense of comradery with the guides and the other guests, certainly a feeling of family by the end of the trip, being the only female in the group (skiing back country) both times, I really appreciated this.

Absolutely amazing time! Between the feet of powder, awesome resorts, and chill/knowledgeable guides Japan Ski Tours is great for the first timer in Japan through the seasoned veteran.

Just got back from Japan having spent the last 6 days there skiing with Japan Ski tours. My spouse and I had a fantastic time joined by 6 others riders/skiers that we met for the first time; nothing quite binds like an hour long van ride and copious powder snow. Kudos to the team of Sam and Chris helping find untracked tree runs in Iwate and to Taro for all the driving in silly dumping snow. For those who want to really enjoy the culture of Japan you will love this trip. Lots of onsens and great restaurants; my only complaint - too much food! I suppose I didn’t have to eat it all but that would have seemed impolite.

Just finished the 10 day Indy Tour. Had a fantastic time. Our host Doug was knowledgeable and very helpful. Not a guide, but he offered good suggestions for finding good skiing during a bit of a drier winter. It could have snowed more, but we managed fine. The accommodations were great; nice rooms, good food, and loved the onsens. The transportation was comfy and efficient. The office was always responsive to our questions. The smaller more laid back ski areas were just what we were looking for. This was our first Japan ski trip and it met and exceeded our expectations; a view of the rural Japan ski scene and culture. We highly recommend Japan Ski Tours

We did the 10-day Indy Pass tour and the experience was absolutely epic. The accommodations, food, skiing, and logistics all exceeded our expectations. Everyone on our tour was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour guide, Joe, who made the experience even better. If you want to enjoy authentic Japanese ski hills with great people, legendary snow, and an unforgettable time then this is the tour for you. Buy now before they raise the price because the cost compared to the trip feels like a steal! Thank you Japan Ski Tours.

Great experience at Japan Ski Tours during January 2024 The team is super customer focused, and it doesn't surprise me that they have perfect reviews on Google. Their guides are phenomenal (shoutout to Joel and Taro), and are committed to showing off Japan's powder and culture as best as they can. Any (slight) issues I had were immediately solved and prioritized by the team.
