Honestly
a
bit
disappointed.
We
knew
the
main
Akita
Inu
attractions
were
nearly
two
hours
away
in
Odate,
but
if
you
are
in
Akita
city
and
traveling
with
a
child,
they
make
it
look
like
these
cute
dogs
are
everywhere
when
they
simply
are
not.
Very
limited
hours
in
the
main
station,
this
"Akita
Dog
Station"
and
visits
to
the
nearby
park
will
be
all
of
the
chances
you
get
inside
the
city
of
Akita.
Traveling
with
our
daughter,
we
made
a
change
of
plans
to
see
them
here
at
11AM
on
a
drizzly
Friday
morning.
I
thought
there
would
be
chances
for
interaction,
but
there
simply
wasn't.
At
11AM
they
walked
a
dog
in
(who
was
very
energetic)
and
got
her
to
sit
in
this
glass
area
facing
visitors
after
a
few
treats.
That's
all
you
get,
to
see
them
from
the
other
side
of
the
glass
outside.
Inside
the
"station"
is
a
small
shop
offering
goods
of
various
types
(postcards,
books,
plushies
and
more),
information
on
donations
and
rescues
for
the
dogs
and
some
pamphlets.
There
is
also
a
free
stamp
outside
if
you
are
a
Japanese
stamp
collector
(which
was
nice).
If
you
are
in
the
area
and
into
Akita
Inu,
stopping
by
is
a
cute
free
stop,
but
otherwise
you
aren't
missing
much.
