2020/6/14 The moss-covered Jizo statue is so cute. I think it is the best photo spot in Sanzen-in.

There are cute Jizo statues in various places in Ohara Sanzen-in Temple. It is also nice to see Himsori standing in the calm moss garden in the background.

Sanzen-in is such a famous place that it is often introduced. The fresh green maple leaves are at their peak, and you can see them, hydrangeas, and even the beautiful moss that spreads all over the garden. Child Jizo. It looks like Jizo is playing in the moss garden. It's cute and soothing.

When you think of Sanzen-in Temple, you probably think of this Warabe Jizo, and some people come just for it.

When you think of Sanzen-in Temple, you get the image of a lot of cute Jizo statues, but the most famous one is the Warabe Jizo statue. Warabe Jizo is introduced with a photo as "7. Warabe Jizo" on the mobile map under "Precincts" in Sanzen-in's official homepage. Since Warabe Jizo is located a little far from the garden path, you won't be able to take a large picture of it with your cell phone camera, as shown in the photo on the website, so it might be a good idea to have a camera with a telephoto lens. My photo was taken with an iPhone, but this is a problem.

There wasn't that much moss on the Jizo statue on September 29th, so I'd like to visit it at other times as well. Clear files are also available at the shop.

“Warabe” (child) Jizo statues are popular and these are some of the most well known in the Kyoto area. Get out of Kyoto and go to Ohara for a rural escape! It’s so worth it.
