This
is
the
bus
stop
in
Ohara,
famous
for
the
song
♪Kyoto-Ohara
Sanzenin♪.
It's
a
small
bus
terminal
with
a
bus
information
desk
and
restrooms.
It
is
a
base
for
sightseeing
in
Ohara,
where
many
people
cross
the
traffic
light
and
go
to
the
approach
to
Sanzen-in
Temple
(less
than
a
15-minute
walk),
while
some
people
take
the
stairs
next
to
the
toilets
in
the
back
to
Jakko-in
Temple
(less
than
a
20-minute
walk).
Unfortunately
there
is
no
restaurant
or
cafe
in
the
building.
There
are
also
no
convenience
stores
nearby
(there
is
a
Family
Mart
in
Nomurabere,
3
stops
away
by
bus.
It
takes
about
10
minutes
on
foot).
The
terminal
is
vertically
long,
and
on
the
right
side
of
the
bus
information
center
at
the
entrance
is
the
waiting
line
for
the
16th
line
bound
for
Shijo
Kawaramachi,
the
17th
line
bound
for
Shijo
Kawaramachi/Kyoto
Station,
and
on
the
left
is
the
waiting
line
for
the
19th
subway
bound
for
Kokusai
Kaikan
Station.
You
can
use
a
one-day
subway/bus
ticket
(1,100
yen)
or
a
transportation
IC
card
to
take
these
buses
back
to
the
city
center,
but
if
you
are
paying
in
cash,
we
advise
you
to
purchase
your
ticket
in
advance
at
the
information
center
if
possible.
Masu.
The
17th
train
from
Ohara
to
Kyoto
Station
is
convenient
because
it
does
not
require
transfers,
but
during
the
tourist
season
it
is
often
full
before
departure
at
Ohara,
and
there
are
delays
as
it
passes
through
popular
downtown
areas
such
as
Shijo
Kawaramachi.
As
it
is
easier,
we
recommend
taking
the
19th
line
bound
for
Kokusai
Kaikan
Station
to
the
last
stop
(23
minutes),
then
changing
to
the
subway
and
heading
to
Kyoto
Station
(about
20
minutes).
Both
the
17th
train
bound
for
Kyoto
Station
and
the
19th
train
bound
for
Kokusai
Kaikan
Station,
there
are
approximately
two
trains
per
hour
(alternating
trains
every
15
minutes).
During
busy
periods,
special
buses
that
are
not
listed
in
the
timetable
may
be
operated,
and
depending
on
the
season,
there
may
be
limited
express
buses
that
only
stop
in
front
of
Yase
Station,
so
please
check
the
location
carefully.
