Is it super popular and has been featured in chats and TV media? It looks like a shop. The store is located in a residential area in the Kitaoji Shirakawa-dori area, and is open only three days a week (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), and on weekends, customers are waiting to receive their order cards an hour and a half before the store opens. This is a popular store in Hokkaido where Mr. I visited on a weekday Monday before 12:30 p.m. One group of two people was already waiting. Normally, eat-in is available from 13:00, but for some reason, on that day, you could enter from around 12:30, and luckily, I was able to enter right away without having to wait. (You can take photos inside the store.) I ordered "Tranche Champenoise/Coffee." The cake I ordered was certainly delicious. Since the usual eat-in time is 13:00, people who didn't know that the eat-in time was 30 minutes earlier that day started coming to the store from around 12:45, even though it was a weekday. At the start of eat-in (when I entered the store from around 12:30 on the day), all the products were in the ``display glass case'', but by the time I left the store (there were 5 people waiting to enter the store). Almost all of the products in the "display glass case" were gone. (Because take-out only customers and eat-in customers purchase multiple cakes individually) Eat-in customers can enter the store first and eat before the eat-in start time without waiting in line. Please request a cake (to secure the cake?) and then stand in line. If you don't know this and stand at the back of the line, your cake choices will be limited once the eat-in time begins and you wait for your turn. I hope this will be helpful to everyone who has read this long comment to the end...

A small detached cake shop a little far from the station, only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Selected as one of the top 100 sweets stores, the restaurant is so popular that people line up to eat in even before the store opens. I visited when they were open for eat-in at 1pm on holidays. I almost missed the first round and went to the second round. I ended up waiting outside for an hour...(;_;) There is some shade, and there are some simple chairs. But of course it's hot. Very. It seems that some people are suffering from heat stroke. I think I would have been in danger if I had waited a little longer. Many people eat multiple pieces, and the serving is slow and rotation is slow. Some of the people who came in the first round were still eating when we left. Some people only had one, but they were still talking about it long after they finished eating. For better or worse, you won't be kicked out, so I think you'll have to wait quite a while. It would be nice if you could make a reservation, have someone call you by phone, or have a time limit for seating. Please note that we do not have a limited eat-in menu. If possible, I think it's better to take out. [What I ate] Stanislas ¥950 Coquille de Mourang ¥770 Iced tea ¥660 It was hot for a while after I entered the store, and to be honest, I didn't even get to enjoy the cake (^_^;) First, drink some tea. The conditions were far from the best for eating cake, but it was still very tasty. It has an unusual and unique flavor, but it's delicious. it's amazing. I can see why they line up. I might have been more impressed if it was for this price and I didn't have to wait for an hour under the scorching sun. However, for today, I'm sorry for the evaluation. Thank you for the meal.

It was a very famous restaurant, so I was prepared to wait in line for a while, but it was longer than I expected. I think the cake itself is carefully made and delicious, but when you consider the price and waiting time, I can't give it a very high score. That's why the level of Western sweets in Kyoto is generally high. It's just my personal opinion, so don't take it too seriously.

The most renowned French pastry shop in Kyoto, but it’s also hard to get one if you arrive too late.

R5.7 Ichijoji Hananokicho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City A popular patisserie that has been selected as one of the 2022 Sweets WEST 100 Famous Stores. As of R5.8, it is tied for the top Western confectionery shop in Kyoto Prefecture with a score of 3.88.The parking lot is not paved with a sign opposite the store. There is a private parking lot for 3 cars and a bicycle parking lot. Only cash payment is possible. Inside the store, there is an eat-in space with tables and sofa seats that can be rearranged as needed for up to 7 people, and in the showcase there are 6 types of cakes that can be taken out and 1 type of cake that is only available for dine-in. Baked sweets and pound cakes are lined up above and next to it. It says Chef's Recommendations. “Eclat de Pistache et Abricco” 970 yen including tax This cake combines pistache mousseline cream with apricot and almond macaroons, and has a caramelized surface. The pistache mousseline cream (custard cream & butter cream) has a smooth texture and is of very high quality, and the apricot and almond macaroons are exquisitely delicious with the sweetness and just the right amount of acidity from the apricot and almond macarons. All the cakes are surprisingly delicate and delicious. It's expensive, but you can see that it's a lot of work, so it's understandable. It was so delicious that I had to order another. In the end, I can say that it's definitely not a bad idea to buy a cake here. When friends and relatives come to Kyoto to visit, I want to bring them along as a way of showing hospitality. I can say, ``Kyoto has a Japanese image, but the Western sweets and cakes are also of a high standard.'' I come to Shirakawa-dori often, so I would like to stop by again. This is definitely a cake shop.

This is a unique restaurant with a rich flavor made with alcohol, a flair for using basil and mint, a complex texture that is both hard and soft, a menu that changes every week, and only open three days a week from Saturday to Monday. It seems to be a lineage of Ile Proux-sur-La Seine (probably the only one in Kansai) If you're tired of Japanese Western sweets like "strawberry shortcake" and "fruit-filled sweets," I think it's worth a visit. Items often start to run out in the afternoon. Many of the menu items are so delicate that they will "melt and fall apart" once they are cooled, so we recommend using a cold bag when bringing them home from a distance. There are three parking lots, but they tend to fill up in the morning.

This is a cute little pastry shop. Be sure to get early as they apparently sell out quickly. We had the black tea pudding and it was really nice.
