Sado Kisen Ferrari goes to Niigata port to Ryotsu port. Ryotsu port is bigger than Ogi port. People in tourist information centre are very friendly. There are many omiyagi ( souvenirs ) shops around the port. Toilet are really clean. There are no many shops outside the Ryotsu port specially in weekdays. There are many car rental companies around the port. There is a bus stop and most of busses goes via Kanai.

Large port from Niigata and plenty of restaurant, shop and necessary facilities for tourist.

佐渡島は最近は「さどがしま」ではなく「さどしま」と読むようにしているそうです。島流しのイメージを変えたいらしいですが、この港に着いても悪いイメージはありませんでしたよ。2時間のフェリー旅はジェットフォイルよりも長いけれど、景色も船旅も楽しめてよかったです。

ジェットフォイルと汽船を利用しました。 ジェットフォイルは座席が固定されているため、景色を見ることができず、面白くなかったです。 一方で汽船は、船の中を自由に歩き回れるので、さまざまな角度から景色を楽しむことができました。 外国人観光客がワイワイとカモメにえさを撒いていたら、大量の鳥が間近に押し寄せて来て結構面白かったです。

This is a nice port of Sado with a small shopping street beside the ticketing. There's a cafe and food too. Good for a short visit before you board the ship back to the main island of Japan.

Houses multiple souvenir shops, some F&B places, a bus stop for the Sado Island tour buses (bookings can be made here), a taxi spot in case you want to head off immediately, and the Sado Tourism Association. You'll definitely have to come here if you want to go to Sado Island in the first place, but the aforementioned services will be very helpful to your holiday in Sado Island if you know what kind of holiday you want.

待ち時間長くなるけど、ご飯屋も入ってたりお土産見たりしながら時間は潰せるかな。
