2020年7月 COVID19のせいで平日の焼き物の町メインストリートには観光客は人っ子一人いない異様な感じの時に車中泊旅で寄った、車を駐車場に入れウインドショッピングするも通りには僕一人、開いてる店も少なかった。＊勿論風鈴と皿数点を購入はしたが早くコロナ終息しなければ存続の危機だと感じた。

Imari area was known for manufacturing its own porcelain in Japan from the beginning of the seventeenth century with Karatsu area. You are able to find the place, a ruin of a pottery kiln and meet retail shops where sell their unique and useful porcelains and potteries. All streets and footpath in this village were clean and calm. Due to locate in the middle of the forest, there are a lot of alleys up and down, however you can enjoy walking the street seeing the tiny and beautiful works. Most porcelain and pottery in Imari area were painted onto the surface but that of Karatsu were not painted onto them at all. That is the big difference between them.

大川内山の鍋島藩窯は素晴らしい町です。きれいしウインドウショッピング、散策。有田焼、伊万里焼の歴史がわかります。高麗人のおかげです。

Definitely a traditional Japanese village, not crowded but a great location to see true Japanese handiwork! The scenery is also splendid around the village. Bus access available

風鈴まつりに参りました。急遽、風鈴の絵付け体験をさせて頂く事に。快く受付して頂き、有難かったです。風鈴を購入する予定でしたが、絵付けをしたので買い控えましたが、素敵な風鈴がたくさんありました。駐車場へ停めて、歩いてひと回りしました。風鈴の音色に癒されました。

風鈴の絵付けをしました。 他にも、お皿や湯呑み、蕎麦猪口などの絵付け体験ができます。同じ種類をまとめて焼くそうなので、作品がたまるまで焼けないそうです。なので作品の到着には時間が必要です。 絵付けの方法やコツも丁寧に教えていただきました。楽しかったです。
