[Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka] This is a national park that stretches approximately 6 kilometers from east to west and covers an area of approximately 300 hectares. You can enjoy seasonal flowers throughout the year, the ‘Animal Forest’ where you can interact with animals, an outdoor leisure pool, and many other leisure activities in an urban setting.

It's very wide area. Nice flower. 3 hours is still not enough even with bicycle. Also with big children playground. Can have more fantastic experience easy to take ferry nearby Marine World 20 minutes to Bayside Place Hakata

One of the most surprising sites when I was visiting the Fukuoka area. I did not expect such a great quality park with careful planning. I was just expecting a random park next to the ocean, but it was full of joy. The Forest of the Animal was a really good quality small zoo. If you have a kid, that small zoo could be the sole reason to visit this park. A lot of well maintained bike roads and it was so good to ride a bike and enjoy the fall weather in Fukuoka

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is a huge park located in Saitozaki. It has multiple areas for kids to play, beautiful flowers to see and animals to watch. During my last visit in early June, there were lots of flowers and the hydrangeas were the most beautiful among the flowers I saw. For those who like to walk, the west side of the park has a pond and fountain while the north side can see the beach and the beautiful seaside of Fukuoka. It is recommended to rent a bicycle as the park is huge. Overall, it is a nice park and it is huge enough for a family to spend a day here.

A Nice national park for family and everyone to enjoy the natural. Can get there by local trains from Fukuoka main station. I was lost due to insufficient google map. Customers rent a bicycle with very cheap fee. It is a good place for picnic. Pictures are taken mid October.

Large national park and very beautiful. The entrance fee is 450yen which is a reasonable price for what you get. You can rent bikes (500 yen for 3 hours, 700 yen for the day) and wheelchair as well as strollers and electric carts can be rented free of charge. The park is made up of several different areas including flower gardens, playgrounds, sports fields, a water park, a zoo and large open spaces and lawns perfect for picnicking. There are also several view points from where you get magnificent views. The park is full of fun attractions for both adults and children. A great place to escape the city!

MUST visit place when you're in Fukuoka. If you can, I would recommend to rent a bicycle so you can fully explore the area. So many beautiful flowers that were well maintained, as well as some exotic wildlife. You can easily lose track of time as this park is massive. This is the highlight of my trip here. I have nothing but beautiful memories.

Such a wonderful place to spend the day! There are so many activities for kids (playgrounds, water activities, petting zoo and small zoo area), as well as for adults to enjoy. So many wonderful flowers too. Definitely recommend! Wish I would've gotten there earlier so I had more time to adventure.

This place is huge! A beautiful park you can definitely spend an entire day, or even weekend at. I highly recommend getting there early to rent a bike – though the available options are all pretty small and very old. Still, having a bike helps you get around to the areas you want to be in much quicker, as well as getting back in time to catch your train if you come on public transportation. I would love to be able to visit during other seasons, but the baby blue eyes, cherry blossoms, and tulips were stunning!

This is a super fun place for kids at all ages! Super spacious and lot of well designed slides for kids. Different adventures for kids to challege, net and log and water challenges! Kids can also pay to drive! There s an area for photo taking of flowers but not yet many flowers in mid Apr. there s an area for food like crushed ice, fried chicken and churros etc. parking is nearby but please note the long queue out when the park is closing, better to leave earlier. And very windy there, better go with jackets.

We came over on the ferry, then walked over to the park via a vegan doughnut shop and a supermarket where we picked up incredibly fresh and cheap sushi for bento. We entered at the West gate and hired a tandem bike to ride around the park on. They have so many bikes, adult and kid, adult with baby seat etc. We bought a 3 hour ticket so we didn’t have to rush. There is designated bike paths around the park, it was so much fun. We stopped off at the animal petting zoo. The animals looked pretty happy (unlike a lot a Japanese zoos) though they could have better enclosures. And the owl shouldn’t have been out chained to a small pumpkin. Lots of loud flamingos, rabbits, different monkeys and llamas, goats, sheep (which you can feed special pellets from a vending machine) some macaws down by the pond. We didn’t have time to see the whole park, but it was definitely worth it for the bit we did see.

Very relaxing to walk around at this beautiful park filled with flower gardens that are all well-maintained. There are a lot of places too where children will enjoy such as the pools, playground, zoo, and Marine World (different entrance fee). Allot at least a day to walk around and make sure to bring your own water and snacks when walking around because it's a huge park and it's kinda difficult to locate a restaurant.

I took a train to here within 45 mins. It was a snowing day and expected to see the floral garden here. Sadly, there were just a few flowers which can stand the cold weather. If you come here just for the flowers in winter, you might just want to wait until spring time. Instead of wasting my time, I walked all the way up to the hill and see Busan and the island between. It was quite windy there and try not to go there during the snowing day because there are literally no one there. In between the floral garden and the hilltop, you will pass by a little zoo with animals in. Given the ticket price is just 450-480yen something like that, I would say it worth the money if you come here with kids.

Huge park with many different zones for different activities. Can easily spend a day with kids. Came here in October but autumn came late so it is still very sunny despite the cool breeze. Autumn flowers have yet to bloom. So it was quite barren. Best time to visit is spring.

Get a bike! If you cant cycle then get yourself a scooter . It’s a huge place, not the best and not really well maintained at some locations, kids may love it too as there are places specially for them. Animal petting zoo was fun.

Lovely park with lots of play areas for kids. Bike & electric scooter rental available. Loved the flower gardens. The Baby Blue Eyes were in season (20th April, 2023) - see photos. Park is huge so be prepared to walk about 30 mins from end to end.

Actually it’s a great park, with good panorama. However I came at early of October, the sun is still strong. I wish for a bus ride trough the garden but there are only bicycles rental that day, so that it made me very tired to cycling around the park with my kids in the back kids seat. There are zoo inside it and the place is easy to get, the gate is close to JR stop.

Wonderful place! We didn't expect the length walk but totally worth it. Be sure to drop by the Flowe Museum, Animal Farm, and the two seaside viewpoints. Best if you ride a bicycle.

A big seaside park. Many facilities exist including bike rental, food court, playground, flowers part, goals court, etc. It must be a joyful day with family and group trips. In spring, you can enjoy cherry blossom and other flowers blooming showing a stunning atmosphere and beautiful scenery. You can rent bicycles to ride around the park, however; in the high season, the bikes could be sold out before you could rent it due to high demand. Therefore, I recommend that after you get off the train you should go directly to the ticket counter then to the bike rental store immediately 😅. As for my experience, I was enjoying the scenery, then the bikes were out of stock before I could rent. But I also enjoy walking around. For those who like walking, it would be another wonderful experience. Enjoy different flower parks from one to another! Recommend to spend a whole day if you wish to visit there!

You can easily spend the whole day at this place. Good reasons to re-visit as well if you live near - the flowers in bloom change with the seasons. My favorite part was the Animal Forest (動物の森) where they take care of a wide selection of interesting animals, such as kangaroos, capybaras, and sheep, among others.

A really big and great park to spend half a day in. A lot of greenery and open spaces. You can rent bikes right at the start of the station and it costs 700 yen for the whole day. Note though that most of the flowers are not in bloom currently (june 13) so you will only see a few flowers like below seldomly.

Many facilities for kids in the park, various types of flowers, many lovely animals in the zoo. Everything is good, BUT... Unhappy with the cycling rental service, as I can ride a bike but not good at it, so I want to take a look at the bikes before renting. BUT the staff keep asking me to PAY FIRST and not allow me to enter before pay. I can't believe I had such a bad service experience in Japan.

Great place to spend a day with children. You can rent bikes or walk, i recommend to rent the bike for a full day to visit the whole park. Make sure you bring a swimming suit and sport shoes. There are a lot of areas for the kids to play a petting zoo and pools. Lots of nature.

Wow!! Must visit park in Fukuoka with beautiful gardens, a small zoo, amusement park and playgrounds, marine park and aquarium. The park is huge so it’s best to rent a bicycle at the park entrance to cycle around to each location. Dedicated bicycle tracks are used so it’s really safe and enjoyable. Best option is the all day rental for 700 yen (adult) - with option for tandem bikes at the same price. There are several eating places on site and the Sunday we visited many food trucks were also present giving you a huge choice of food.

Weather was amazing on a sunday which explained the number of familes out in the park with their kids! Flower started blooming (mid feb), and temperature was comfortable (slightly windy given that it is next to the sea). The entire park is huge and cycling around the place (rental bicycles available) is a great way to explore! There is also a food area (next to the fun kart) if you need a quick bite!

A very spacious park with different amenities. You could rent bikes to go around the park. Animal park was wide and open space. There's also a petting area. A go kart area for kids which was fun. Different sections of the park has different kinds of flowers.

素晴らしい! Such a great place to visit for a fresh holiday! Friendly and cute animals, everyone has a personal profile 😂 Poetic flower gardens and dreamlike blue petty flowers.

Huge area to cover. Renting a cycle for 3hrs is the most efficient way to travel. There are several flower zones at bloom at different part of the year. The petting zoo and seaside areas nice.

I recommend everyone who visits Fukuoka to visit this park. Full of colorful rose flowers in the rose museum. It makes you breathtaking. 😍🥰🥰

Amazing park. Lots for kids, young adults and parents too. Could have spent the whole day walking around, relaxing eating and playing. Can rent bikes from here and ride around the whole area! Big slides, jump parks, bumper cars, water parks etc. Unique place!

The park seemed a bit underwhelming for how difficult it is to get to via the Hakata ferry. The ferry schedule is very infrequent. It could just be that November is not a good time to visit. It was very gloomy and cold, the grass is all dry, overall not much to see. Perhaps in the summer this park has more to see. At least there is a food court so you can eat ramen or curry while you’re stuck there.
