A
Runner's
Dream
Amazing
Amazing
park
with
a
2km
all-weather
track
and
outer
bike
lane
not
far
from
the
heart
of
the
city
(less
than
4km
from
Hakata
Station).
I've
long
wanted
to
visit
Fukuoka
specifically
to
visit
this
park.
I
had
heard
that
it
had
a
2km
all-weather
track
encircling
a
pond,
but
it
was
hard
to
tell
from
pictures.
Not
only
is
this
definitely
an
all-weather
track
surface
(better
for
running
than
pavement
or
cement),
but
every
hundred
meters
is
marked
the
entire
way
around
for
those
who
want
to
do
workouts.
This
is
a
runner's
paradise,
and
I
saw
lots
of
individual
runners,
running
teams,
schools,
and
even
a
running
group
for
blind
people
who
are
partnered
with
sight-abled
running
buddies.
I
was
blown
away.
The
center
of
the
pond
that
the
track
follows
also
has
a
pavilion
and
a
path
leading
to
it.
The
Fukuoka
Art
Museum
is
on
the
park
premises
as
well.
There
are
cafes
and
plenty
of
bathrooms.
The
official
start
and
finish
of
the
track
is
close
to
the
Fukuoka
Art
Museum
FYI.
If
you
are
in
Fukuoka,
and
thinking
about
exercising,
you
owe
it
to
yourself
and
your
lungs
to
do
it
here.
Fresh
air
and
green
spaces
are
rare
commodities
in
cities.
