Without doubt the best bar in Osaka, Space Station has a vibe like no other. Their cocktail selection is originally curated, but you'll want to stay for more than the alcohol... The endless games, retro atmosphere and lovely staff make it an entire experience.

Neat little video game themed bar in America-mura away from the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori and Souemoncho. Worth going for just the nostalgia factor; was able to play a game of Rampage which I haven't seen in years. Only got one cocktail (Ecco the Dolphin) because it was late and they were about to close, but I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area again.

A bar unlike any other. Adorable names for drinks based on video game characters. I've never been to an establishment like this where they have retro consoles in full display with an extensive array of their respective games in remarkable condition. Foreigner-friendly, and I'll definitely make an effort to revisit soon.

First time visiting Space Station. Wonderful set up, Many Retro gaming consoles free to play. A Bar with many cocktails and beers named after Gaming references (Gin and tonic with blue curacao =Gin and Sonic) Aswell as they serve Pizzas to share. Friendliest staff, were very catering to patrons. Always inviting and happy to show any noobs where everything is, aswell as any Troubleshooting setting up games to play. My hats off to the people working tonight. Will definately come back. I hope this place really expands its space, im sure alot of visiting gamers would love this place. Group friendly!!

Best video game bar in Osaka hands down. Sometimes they have DJs too and that’s always fun! The owner Matt is a friendly and very helpful fella!

Well priced game themed cocktails and super friendly owner. Nicest cocktails I've had in Japan. The Dr. Mario cocktail is excellent. Had a board of recommendations for 1, 2, or 4 player games. Complementary prog music playing too. Loved it. Will be back

Honestly I love this bar so much. Games are absolutely free to play and it's the best place to find other foreigners if you're backpacking / on vacation. Drinks are as cheap as ¥600 and they have very cute themed cocktails. Beware though it is a really small place and gets packed super easily. Go early to get a good spot and get the most out of this place!

Cool bar, but basically just run by foreigners and also visited by foreigners. Not a bad thing by any means, but don't expect to find Japanese people to meet or chat with. Also the bathroom is horrendous. Literally someone pissed on the toilet cover without lifting it, and there was piss all over the floor. Not sure if it ever gets cleaned, but if you don't need to use the bathroom, the retro games are awesome to play. Just being a wipe to clean the controllers because I wouldn't be surprised if no one washes their hands after visiting the toilet 👀. Drinks were also quite good.

A really cool hangout spot for gamers who love the NES era and want to play on the original consoles. The decor is awesome and the stairs were really cool too. A great spot for westerns to speak english and chat if you’re perhaps feeling a little homesick/lonely being in Japan, but I’d recommend some other more chilled and cute bars just nearby if you want a more intimate and local experience.

What a wonderful hidden gem this place is! There is a standing bar and a few seated areas where you can sip on themed cocktails, wine, or a tall mug of draft beer and play a huge selection of games on consoles from NES, Famicom, SNES, Super Famicom, Dreamcast, a PC with Steam installed, and one of the Xboxes (I didn't see which one it was). Depending on the crowd it can be cozy or crazy. Stop in, have a drink, and have some fun. The menu is in English and the bartender is fluent in english as well.

One of my regular spots to go to. Very homie vibes and I love the lights. I don’t even go to play the games but when I’m in the mood it’s always a fun time. The bartenders and owners are great to talk to. They know how to make good drinks.

An inviting shrine to many eras of video games from coin-ops to consoles spanning Atari VCS through Xbox and PlayStation. The theme of video games is literally in every nook and cranny of the bar. Many of the drinks are cleverly game-themed, so grab some refreshment and play plenty of games for free as much as you like. You'll be with like-minded patrons who share the passion for this interactive medium.

Great atmosphere ! The host was very friendly and super accommodating. I went as a solo female traveller and felt at ease. Everyone is very keen to play and have a good time. A big plus, awesome music ! Thank you

Absolutely loved this place, friendly atmosphere, loads of different games to choose from on the consoles, of which there is a NES, a SNES, a Megadrive, a Dreamcast, a PlayStation, an N64 and a Dreamcast and also a sofa with a multiplayer gaming rig I was quite sure of, looked pretty up to date. Beers were well-priced. Shoutout to the bar guy Given (sp?) who was a really sound bloke, good chat and tried to be as helpful as possible.

Great retro place. Games and consoles are free to use when purchase of the drink. N64, snes, Nintendo console, playstation and others. Game selection is huge. Bartenders know their stuff and the cocktail menu is fun. 800yen to 1200yen for cocktails. Opens 6pm. They also have local brew available too!!

Really good vibes, everybody's super friendly and welcoming, and the drinks are tasty + have fun themes! There's also a good range of games across multiple consoles. It's pretty small, so won't fit big groups, but it's chill as and a nice place to meet people or just hang out. They also play some bangers. Recommend!

This bar has so many retro video games fired up and ready to play, and fun drink options. It feels like an amazing trip back to memory lane, but being able to drink as an adult made it even better! Great location for USA foreigners to find.

Our last night in Osaka we happened upon this awesome little bar, drawn in by this video game staircase that leads up to the coolest bar! They have every game console you wish you’d owned in childhood, and almost every game you could want! The themed drinks were good, music was good, and the people streaming in and out were fun. What a good time!

What an awesome little spot! Decent cocktail prices & free games (think SNES, N64 and an arcade table), wasn't crowded at all when we went at 8pm on Tuesday evening, though fairly small inside. Highly recommended and definitely coming back when next visiting Osaka! :-)

Hands down, best bar in Osaka... The atmosphere, the drinks, the games.. name it.. Bartenders are funny and full of joy to, you would feel like you are at home hanging out with friends while drinking Mt Dew and playing Super Street fighter 2 on the SNES.. Did I forget to mention how the music is amazing there too? Highly recommended.

Great little place to play some old NES/SNES/Genesis games, especially co-op. Drinks are super reasonably priced and the bar tender was super fun to chat with. The other patrons are also a nice bunch. Only con is that it's quite small, so if you want to have your hand at playing a game and having a little bit of space to put your drink down and stand and watch, you should go early.

Such a cool spot if you’re looking for an intimate place to grab a drink. Retro video games line the walls and are free to play with cool beats playing in the background for an all around great experience.

Space Station is an unique bar with a cool flair. The bartender speaks really good english, the drinks are good and fair priced and of course there are a lot of games to be played! A must visit for fans of retro video games, who want to have a fun and chill time!

Great expat experience. Fun games, good drinks, friendly people. If English speaking you can go to have fun for a bit and find out more to do, or just have somewhere to feel comfortable

Bit on the pricy side (800 yen for a drink 😱), and a bit cramped, but if you like retro gaming you'll love it. The service was amazing, inside it felt like we were in europe or the states

Very welcoming and relaxed Bar. Perfect for having some fairly priced cocktails while playing a multiplayer game from their huge library with your friends. The decor was a real eye catcher!

English Review! Every time I come to Osaka I come here. Usually I see the owner, but this time, he got sick? But it's all good! Max held down the fort very well! Space Station is absolutely amazing. Retro games everywhere for people to play. Some pretty great drinks, and overall good vibes! Totally suggest coming here if you're in the area!

Really cool atmosphere and fun retro games on offer. If you aren't that into old games it's still a cool hangout for foreigners travelling Osaka. Would recommend a visit if you are on a night out.

Nice place that allows patrons to play retro and modern games while enjoying themed cocktails. Staff were affable and welcoming, helping newcomers get set up on a game system, offering recommendations where applicable. Place is a little small, but centrally located. I can imagine it becoming very busy very quickly at the weekend (I visited midweek), and more non-cocktail menu items (highball, lemon sour, etc.) might have been nice.
