It's best to be sure footed, so wear good shoes for climbing the steep stairs. Izuvia supplied stone for the construction of Edo Castle and this quarry is well curated to explain the process of taking volcanic stone out of the ground and shipping it.

Muro Iwa Cave is a nice historical sight with an interesting background and history! It has a bit of a mysterious atmosphere inside. P.S. there is a hidden spot of a scenic view of the ocean and the city ☺️

It's not a cave but an old quarry ! Anyhow really interesting to see and learn how people used to chisel rock back in the old days !

Walk very carefully if one is not use to tricky trails. Small walk and pretty amazing ambiance. Also take a flashlight or use phone light which won't be good enough for photography. At last enjoy those peaceful moments, living or observing how people use to spend their professional hours back in the days.

Very interesting road side stop. It's a little difficult to find the steps down, but park in the road side lot in the bend. It's a short 1/4 hike. There are crabs everywhere. Bats inside the cave but they don't bother you. Trail ends at a nice over look.
