Great place to let the kids play and have fun! The space is huge. Staff are really kind. You can have space where the parents can wait and relax.

Best children's interactive destination we've been to. Ever. We know several in the SF Bay area, Orange county California, greater Seattle area, this was Hands down the best. If you need to give a day to your children, this place is wonderful. We were there for 3 hours. It could have been 6 if we didn't need to feed the kids. If you pack lunch there are tables you can use, but we didn't see any food service options that would have kept us on site. There were physics exhibits with rolling balls delivering the change from potential to kinetic energy in ball speed. They had a media area where we had a facilitated 30 minute intro to a sound stage where we explored and used objects in a room to record the audio tracks of silent video clips. Part 2 of the media tour we recorded a family news cast on a green screen. Of course a lot was lost in translation on us, but install Google lens and maybe you can translate signs as you move through. Kids also enjoyed a mini super market where the grabbed shopping baskets and moved through a grocery store mock up, checked out at the end and got a souvenir receipt. They made animations, measured how fast they could run, and many many more activities. Great afternoon.

3 levels of indoor fun. We spent the whole day. Multiple reentries allowed and you can bring in food. So it was quite easy for us to get some takeaway nearby. Parents can also take turn to go out and come back.

This seemed to be the perfect place for kids with a lot of energy. At first, they were amazed of the size of the building. Three floors with activities?! It only took them an hour to get through everything. I was a little bit worried that this was it. That they would get bored. The third floor for example, only had two active rooms. The rest were closed. And the ones that were opened were not that special to be honest... Like, sit and "paint" on computers... Hmm... So we were mostly focusing on the other two floors, and they were a hit! The kids seemed to find new things to play with and try out every time, even if we had already been in that area. There are a lot of restrooms, that are tidy and clean. There's a food area, but no restaurant. Don't forget to bring something to drink and eat if you want to last a couple of hours. There are some vending machines tho, if you're thirsty. It was almost empty around 12 on a weekday. A little bit more crowded around 14, but still OK. Parents should not treat this place like a kindergarten. Please keep an eye on your kids. Some didn't, so some kids were rude and cut in line. Staff were friendly, playful and helpful. We stayed for four hours, and the kids loved every single minute! It was 1400 Yen for adults and 800 Yen for kids. Money well spent!

I recommend this place for kids! Great place for the kids to spend 2-3 hours and burn their energy. Lots of science to learn and play. After that, there’s an indoor playground that the kids can hop around. For parents, there’s lots of seats around. There’s also tables for you have a quick meal. If you’re a single parent and looking for a partner, this might be the best place for you to mingle with other parents (many parents came alone!!). Good luck!!

Nice clean spacious facility, great for kids to explore and play around! Located next to an equally amazing park with large sides. Due to COVID-19 shortened hours, they're offering everyone 10% off. Temperature check and plenty of alcohol hand sanitizing. Edit: super easy to lose sight of the little one. Also first aid response is really good and friendly here

A must-do for children in Osaka! Loved how accommodating and thoughtful the entire space is for families. The bathrooms even have low sinks and toilets for the kids to use independently. Staff were all friendly and encouraged the children to explore and have fun. There is a wide variety of activities to do. You can easily spend an entire day here. No food sold inside however you can exit/re-enter and bring your own food from a nearby shop.

Loving this place. They have all sort of interactive playground and classes for kids to enjoy (even though we don't understand most of the medium in Japanese). We spent only two hours there but it's a just decent timing for kid to enjoy 80% of the stuffs they got there.

It’s a super nice place. My kid had so much fun. There are a lot if different things to experience like various professions, shopping at supermarket, playing with bubbles, etc. You can easily spend a whole day there if you like. The price is also very reasonable for what they offer. Thank you for the great experience.

Great place for kids, so many fun, science based activities with friendly, helpful staff. We spent a solid 3 hours here plus time in the nearby park which has the best slides I have ever experienced. Even adults can enjoy them.

I brought my 11 month old baby here. The activities are mainly catered to kids who can walk independently, but there was a decent sized area for babies who can only crawl. There were very entertaining and educative activities. I would bring my child back here when he's older. Great toilet and change room facilities, reasonable prices, and very helpful and friendly staff. Not too crowded at 1pm. Note that you can enter the facility for half price if you buy your tickets after 2pm.

I would describe this place is a must go in Osaka when you are travelling with kids above 3 years old. Lots of simple but interesting scientific, cultural and role play activities for kids which are NOT using computers. Can spend a whole day here, while good restaurants nearby.

Great place to let your child let off steam. Suitable from infant and up. Has a huge eating area where you can bring your own food and eat. Absolutely a place to visit if on a rainy day.

Good for kids to have fun activities while learning. Staff was friendly. However lack of English speaking staff. There was a few sections which was closed. We especially loved the TV audition, that was memorable for the family where we pretend to be a news reporter.

Great for kids from 3 - early teens. Very few English sections, but there is an English brochure and most areas on the 3 large floors are for playing city, climbing around the Hundertwasser house, on a subway, discovering instruments and different cultures, physics games and animation process in a playful manner. Ticket is for the day and it's possible to leave and come back later. There are a lot of areas to eat your own food and except drinks and ice cream, there is no selling to kids going on, so no further costs then the a bit costly entrance fee involved.

This is a great place for the 3-8 yrs old age group. For 1400 Yen for Adults and 500 - 800 Yen for kids, this is great value. This children's attraction is massive and covers 3 levels. There are tons of hands on creative play activities spread out through a massive space. Educational opportunities are available as well for the older end of visitor with books and video offerings that allow interested kids to learn more. For the busy little guys who just want to move, they can touch, bang and grab all kinds of hands-on items like drums, bubble blowing, building items etc. I was so impressed with the variety of fun stations for kids to interact with. If your little one likes pretend play they can enjoy the kids grocery store where they can really "check out" their items, or a play food cart area, or a school, or even make real recordings in an actual "tv studio"! The center of the building features a massive "treehouse" to climb and run around, complete with two story slide. There are staff members at every station to ensure smooth operation of each section, and the facility is mainly staffed by older folk who clearly love playing with the kids. We don't speak Japanese but still had a fun and easy time here. If you in Osaka with kids, make this a stop!

A really fun place for kids, both as a science museum and a playground. But there are too many kids from school groups.

Oh man this place was so fun for our kids. We thought about going to USJ but the heat and long lines made us rethink our plans. We found Kids Plaza online and headed over and we weren’t disappointed! The kids ran around and played, they learned some science, and we all played together. There are some drink machines (mmmm so cold!) and benches for parents to sit and wait. We have great memories of Kids Plaza Osaka!

This was the great kid musuem ever. There are ao many activities for toddlers to junior high school. My 3-year old son ran and played all day without stopping for a minute for 2 and a half hours. This is a kind of combiniation of science and national musuem and playground together. Language barrier is not a big deal for enjoying this place. But, there is no restaurant or shop to buy something to eat. You should have a lunch before coming here, or bring your lunch here. The one day ticket is 1400 yen for adult, 800 yen for high school and 500 yen for kid more than 3 years old. This is millions recommended!

Just awesome. Our three year old was consistently excited and had fun for hours. Great facilities no matter your kid situation. Feels like a maze inside at times. If you need to keep eyes on your kid at all times you may be chasing them. Kids aren’t supposed to run, but it happens plenty. Expect some minor new scrapes or bruises if your kid is active, but the place is safe. Its a little expensive but worth it. We even came back for a second day. Our son called it “The awesome playground”.

We went on weekday and there are lots of elementary school children from field trip. They recommend to come after 2pm but we went in anyway. It was busy as expected but our kids still had a lot of fun. Definitely recommend family to come here.

Great for family with young kids. So many things to do, play and learn even the parents enjoyed themselves. Everything is so thoughtfully planned with kids in mind. I'm surprised by the huge amount of educational materials that we can learn there. Highly recommended. Do note that school might organize day trips to the museum and the place will be crowded.

This place is amazing. We brought a 7 year old and almost 3 year old here and they had a blast. Lots of school groups on the day we visited, so it was a bit crowded, but it was lots of fun. There are many interactive activities here--we liked the musical/percussion area. Lots of hands on science here as well. The central play structure is very well done and kids will enjoy running around. We spent several hours here, it's a great stop for families with younger children.

What I absolutely loved about this place is the nursing room facilities, toilets for your little ones and there is even a space for infants and toddlers. A fun and fantastic place for those with little ones.

Great place for an indoor day break from the heat at Osaka. Both my 6 and 9 year old enjoyed this place. Even at peak time, the kids still have lots of fun and play, would strongly recommend it to tourists who have kids wants to have a break from all the sightseeing in the city.

Worth a visit. We spent about 2.5hours here. The " castle " spans across 3 storeys and the kids really loved going up and down the many stairs. Too bad the long slide was not in service today. There were science-related stations and activities, music/educational exhibits (like skeletonal xray roleplay stations, supermarket that prints out actual receipts for kids, postman activities where kids can deliver postcards to different mailboxes) and also a play and reading area for very young children. Overall, don't miss this place if you have preschoolers or elementary school children.

Very busy on a Sunday but fun for the little ones! It’s not a playground but more like a museum where kids can explore by themselves.

  • 5/5 Jeff Y. 1 year ago on Google
It's a good place to spend half a day to a day with your kid. It's not as entertaining like arcades you see in Japan, but most of the activities they have are educational and creative. The children I brought there had fun and learned something new

Great place to take your kid(s) to spend a few hours. There are many educational workshops and playthings to tinker with. The staff here are helpful and they put in an effort to maintain a clean and tidy environment. Would recommend.

Great place to go for older kids. Unfortunately my daughter is too young (2 years old) to understand all the attractions, but she enjoyed playing shopping in supermarket and pretending to be a postman.

  • 5/5 Luis O. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to spend time with the kids. We didn't get past exploring the 5th floor. Nothing to eat in here but a cafeteria is available where you can eat your own food if you bring it. Otherwise there are really good eateries within a rock throw away.

My son could not stop talking about how much he loved this place. It is a science museum for children with lots of interactive pieces, very educational and fun. It also has a giant playground area. We were able to purchase tickets with no reservation at the front desk when we got there which was great.

  • 4/5 Daniel B. 1 year ago on Google
There's plenty of things for the kids to do. It might be best to visit on weekdays otherwise you will have to wait in lines for some of the attractions like the side and the giant bubble machine.

Lots of fun for the kids. Very traditional cultural stuff. Very good for foreigners like us. We learn a lot of Japanese culture here. The play area was very well set up. My kids didn't want to leave. Very easy to get to.

Great place for kids around 2 to maybe 10. Lots of learning activities. Real life experiences. Hours of fun! Bring own lunch or choose from plenty of places outside the plaza (ticket allows for re-entry). Does have drink machines. Speak English, no problem. ^_^
