I am still midway through my stay (today is 13 Dec 2023). Great location. Polite staff. However the room air conditioning blows out hot air. When asked about this all the staff say the temperature is centrally set (feels like 26 dec c in the room so I have not slept for 2 nights) and they can only suggest to switch off the air conditioning. But this makes the room very stuffy because there is no air flow. After much complaining they gave me an electric fan. Not a real solution but better than the still air in the room. The bathrooms are very 1970s and are showing their age (unrenovated). Impressive lobby (which is a contrast with the rooms). Overall really a 3 star hotel.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and wanted to share my experience. My flight was around 11 am and should take the limousin bus at 730. Due to my carelessness, I lost my wallet at Japanese restaurant and recognized this at Kansai Airport. Time was so limited to go there and came back to leave on time. I phoned to the hotel and Mr.Lee R Z picked up my phone. I explained my situation and asked him to send my wallet by taxi. But no taxi drivers accept this request because they were not sure to meet me at the airport. Finally Lee came to the airport with my wallet and I can leave Osaka on time without further problem. Really appreciate Hotel Nikko Osaka and related staff. Hope to be there soon. Good impression.

Below expectations. Excellent location but mediocre service. Our group of 3 families stayed here for 4 nights. Different front desk staff provide different advices contradicting each other causing much confusion. Service staff sounded impatient and unsure at times. Room ventilation is terrible, very stuffy and uncomfortable.

The location is perfect, close to amazing restaurants, bars and shopping areas. The metro also gives you easy access to other parts of the city. The rooms are solid, but definitely feeling dated! Walls seem paper thin, hardly any soundproofing you’d expect from modern hotels. One last thing is that the receptionist “Shi” assumed I spoke Mandarin Chinese and it’s not really my strongest language. Her tone was also quite rude and direct as well. Suggest that she asks which language a guest prefers before assuming, and understand that Chinese also has polite and casual word choices too.

This was the first time staying at a hotel Nikko location. I was blown away at the value. Yes the rooms are small but the design and function are excellent, so much so that you won't even notice the size. The location is perfect. You even have your own entrance to the hotel right from the train station. It's also located right across the beginning of one of the large shopping streets, you can walk that straight for 10 minutes and you'll be at Dontonburi. The service is perfect at the front desk. I'm a hotel Nikko fan now. Thanks!

We visited in 2018. Firstly we were greeted by slightly obnoxious staff. It was obvious they were not too pleased that 'people like us' were staying at their hotel. The room was worn and smelled of cigarette smoke. It seemed unhygienic. The only saving grace was the breakfast which was diverse and tasty. The pictures shown here are nothing like what we stayed in, unless we were given a poor room because they were not too please with people like us staying there. It is an international airport hotel, you would think they would be less stereotyping.

DO NOT stay at this hotel! They won’t even let you store your luggage at bell desk over night, even after I offer to pay for the storage. They say it’s their hotel regulation, but I have no problem storing luggage over night at Japanese hotel before, especially a 4 Star hotel. This should be a basic service for loyal JAL hotel members.

Great location! Nice place to stay if you are a Shopaholic like me😀 Nikko is very convenient and located very closed to the department stores and shopping area. I choose to stay at Nikko for several times and is always impressed with the rooms/facilities, location, service, food and value. I highly recommend Hotel Nikko.

Most commendable and excellent front desk manager, Norihiro Ono, that I’ve ever met which makes my checking in into the hotel a breeze. He’s very patient in explaining and showing me the different types of rooms should I choose to have an upgrade from the current rooms which I’ve booked. Thanks to his recommendations, I’ve chose to have an upgrade of rooms (with extra charges ofcos, but it’s totally worth every penny of it!) a responsible and patient service-staff is definitely not easy to come by these days as most people will only do the bare minimal. But Norihiro Ono willingly make the extra mile to make me feel more welcoming as a hotel guest. Will definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Osaka!

A long standing hotel on the Midosuji, during the peak hours of check-in the service reminds good and can reach the room with fair waiting time. Althoigh not the brand new hotel, the maintenance of facility and the clearness of room are in good quality. A great option to stay in the city centre with reasonable deals to choose for good value room.

Only issue was AC not strong enough for summer time. But reception took immediate action by providing Dyson fan inside the room. Good location and clean. Easy to gey taxi and connect to train station.

Worst hotel when I stay in Japan! This hotel does not match 4-star hotel standard. The air conditioner does not work properly, not getting expected temperature at such a hot weather day. The room does not have a window and air flow. The staff lack training, particularly the one that called me when I entered my room. She hung up on me directly before I finished speaking. This was too rude! Everything is too old in the room. Wi-Fi is also low. Not coming to this hotel again.

Excellent location and service. Upscale neighborhood, few blocks away from most popular places. Small but nice rooms. Awesome breakfast buffet. Super great views from upper floors.

I got a good rate for a lovely hotel room with a gorgeous view on the 22nd floor, which I got because they offered high floor and low floor requests for no extra charge when I booked through their website. The amenities were wonderful, the hotel itself was right above the station and had elevators down to it right next to the elevators for the guest rooms, and it all felt very clean and nice. All staff were very polite and the hotel held onto my bags until I was ready to get on the bullet train the day I left. I also happened to miss my first day there due to typhoon Nanmadol and had to stay in Hotel Nikko Narita, so they didn't charge me at all for that first night. Overall wonderful experience.

Horrible experience, rooms are old , basic and way too tiny for a supposed to be nice hotel (even for japanese standars) no one speaks english ,so good luck trying to fix any problem, the staff in lobby is also not nice in lobby ,almost rude and the cleaning staff has no personal hygiene , habding room with disgusting smells.

Great experience staying here. Had an issue with our room and Teni helped us. They found us a new room. Had a billing issue and they quickly took care of us. Super good experience that could have been otherwise. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent accommodations. Walking distance to Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi Station, America-mura make it a great place to make a base for sightseeing. Staff was extremely professional and friendly! I am still learning Japanese and they were super helpful as I tried to use it. As with all Hotel Nikko properties, they seek a high level of quality and service. Would recommend to my friends.

I had a fantastic experience with this hotel. Service was excellent staff was always happy, polite and helpful. Like everywhere in Japan the cleaness was out of this world, the most civilised, advanced society on this planet.

I had a great experience staying here. The hotel is on the perfect location and easy access to subways. There are ton of restaurants and bars around and walkable to Doronbori. I stayed 5nights and Room was always Cleaned and Service were also good I love the bathrooms all the amenities they gave was really nice. I definitely come back here again.

Great location. Soundproofed rooms. Great breakfast (loved the soda machine options and the coffee!) I was able to book 2 rooms, the superior twin and the premium twin. I liked the premium twin better because you could make the AC very cold, whereas the superior rooms AC was hot at night. But they can provide a dyson fan if you feel too hot. Location was superb. Will be coming back here! 5 star service! Thank you, Hotel Nikko Osaka.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Immediate access to subway train lines, a shopping Center on the ground floor, tons of food and drink options both in the building and immediately accessible underground via the subway walkways. Can cross underground to Shinsaibashi shopping street, and about 10 minutes to Dotonbori (if that!) Complimentary umbrellas and luggage storage prior to check in were a nice touch. Took one star off the “rooms” section as we did find a rather large cockroach in our bathroom on our last night. Overall a great stay, we will be back!

I was absolutely stunned by how perfect the hotel location is, right in the heart of the city with so many local restaurants and malls nearby. The room is pristine and it looks newly renovated. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, most importantly thry can communicate in basic English. My stay was truly a pleasant surprise.

Good location in Shinsaibashi near Daimaru. Many shops , drug store , brand name around here. Breakfast was good. They have many restaurants at ground floor.

l have stayed here twice and the service and rooms here are always top notch! Great location as well being right above the subway station with easy access to it from inside the hotel! Plus it's only a 10 minute walk to the dotonbori. Overall I would definitely recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beautiful hotel located directly on a subway line. Easy to get to from Osaka or Osaka-shin station. Many restaurants onsite and only a few minutes walk to so much! Definitely recommend - excellent hotel, excellent (albeit small by North American standards) rooms, and staff that go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable!

Good location and modern, clean room. The service is very good and breakfast buffet has two varieties - western and Japanese. Both are very very good. The staff replenish the dishes regularly.

Great service, beautiful hotel, and located in the heart of everything. Connected to the subway station so that was extremely convenient. First time to Osaka, and was very impressed. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is they had not turned on the AC yet and it was about 70°F the day we left. The rooms were a bit stuffy. We left and it was supposed to be 85°F so I hope they had it on for those staying another night. The bathrooms were very dated, but clean and had everything you could need. House keeping was very helpful and brought up a fan for our room. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Osaka.

One of our family BEST hotels in Osaka where located at the main shopping street. If you are departing for Kansai Airport, don’t forget to buy a airport bus ticket transfer from this hotel to the Airport on the check in date. Highly recommended place to stay in Osaka!!!

Traveling from the U.S, we booked the Superior Twin Room, had a beautiful view of the city and ample space for our luggage (we had 2 travel backpacks, 1 checked in suitcase and 1 carry on suitcase total). Bathroom was amazing with both a tub and a stand in shower together. Service was excellent, very kind staff that spoke English. This hotel is right above the subway station which is so convenient! It is also about an 8-15 minute walk to Dotonbori so you can really enjoy the night life in Osaka and not worry about the subways not working after midnight. Only con was that the AC unit only goes to a certain degree, I think it was 68 F or 72 F but I just remember sweating throughout the night and waking up with a little discomfort even though we had it on maximum power. I stayed here end of May and the beginning of June 2023 which wasn't scorching hot yet. I would book again, just maybe not in the heat of the summertime!

Amazing hotel. Absolutely lovely and spacious. The room was very large and had a lovely interior. It felt very luxurious and comfortable. The bed was also right beside a huge window spanning across the entire wall, which gave beautiful views of the sunrise and city below. Very conveniently located and within easy walking distance to the subway and the main attractions, shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended.

The room is OK. I just have to open luggage on the sofa. Other than that is good. The service is a little slow as there is a load of guess. The location is excellent as it is near train station and many mall.

The best airport hotel I have stayed at. Clean, spacious room that were completely soundproof with blackout curtains to make sleeping off jetlag a breeze.

Hi, there! If you’re Filipino and trying to decide whether its a good hotel or not cause somehow you came across Tita Small Laude’s vlog, Im here to tell you that unless you get the exact same room as hers- you won’t like your stay here at all lol. The only thing I like is the location. Its right across parco mall and is right in the middle of high end shopping. Its dated. The doors are oddly tiny so when you try to open it, you bang your luggage from the outside hall all the way inside which is saying alot cause the rooms are tiny as hell. Bathrooms are also so dated. Do yourselves a favor and just get a room elsewhere.

The hotel is nice and located in an expensive shopping district along shops like Gucci and Fendi so that gives an idea of what to expect. The room had dirty carpet and was very hot with no heat on. I had to get a fan sent to my room which helped a bit but not much. Noisy neighbours across the hall and the heat resulted in a sleepless first and. fourth night. black out curtains so forget about sleeping in on your vacation. Every light switch is illuminated with LED so the room lights up a bit at night so I found myself taping bandaids over the LED lights just so I could sleep. The food here is also oppressively expensive and I can’t bring myself to spend $12 CAD for a cup of coffee or $27 CAD for a small sandwich that is nothing special. Cheaper food options are readily abundant within a short distance. Spend your money elsewhere since for half the cost of the price of this hotel you will have a better and more enjoyable stay. I would not stay here again unless had with a deal from Expedia.

Conveniently situated right above exit 8 of Shinsaibashi station, this hotel offers great access to the rustle and bustle to the Shinsaibashi area. The staff is courteous and professional, and the airport limousine makes a stop right at the hotel entrance (though currently there is only one bus early morning and one bus late afternoon due to COVID). The only complaint is that our room's bathroom had a faint residual smell of urine when we checked in; Otherwise the rooms were great.

We just left this hotel and ended up extending our stay one extra night! We stayed in the superior room on the 24th floor and it was wonderful! Our room was big and had a nice view. We had come from a hotel with a small and uncomfortable bed so this bed felt like a dream. The amenities were really nice as well. The staff were extremely friendly and so helpful, we were so impressed. The building appears a bit older but we didn’t mind, it was well kept up and very clean. Would definitely go back!
