You can stand in line for an hour with all the tourists in Dotombori or JR osaka if you really want to but This place is a better deal. Nice guy selling low volume, high quality gooey octopus treats. Nice ambiance street dining or takeaway. Great prices.

Hidden Gem for delicious takoyaki!

What an amazing experience! I was served by an extremely friendly gentleman who also spoke English which helped me converse easier with my broken Japanese. The food came out quick and with care, it was absolutely delicious and would love to go back again; if only I was in Osaka for longer. I took the food to go and it was well packed and survived my travels, however you can eat at the tables and chairs provided too. Would highly recommend, with a good price (8 cost ¥450) comes an amazing meal and friendly interaction.

The most delicious takoyaki I’ve ever eaten (the batter was so flavorsome), definitely beats all the Dotonbori takoyaki places. The shop is simple and similar to Hong Kong’s “a hole in the wall” (where you know it’s gonna taste good) street food shops with only a few folding chairs/tables. We came around 1-2pm on a weekday and there wasn’t a line, just mostly local customers eating there. Waited less than 10 minutes for the takoyaki that was cooked to order by the very friendly owner :) Much more worth trying than other takoyaki places.

Crazy delicious takoyaki. Ordered the shio-mayo takoyaki. Ate half of them almost immediately and they were fantastic. Had the rest about an hour later and they still tasted pretty good. Will (must) eat them again before I leave Osaka. Do your taste buds a favour and give the ones at dotonburi a miss.

I’m Japanese who live in Osaka since I was born.I’ve had a bunch of Takoyaki long time.But this takoyaki is the best. Taste,quality,quantity,size of it, price, everything is just insane!! If you have this , you wouldn’t be satisfied with another one.
