Mototaki Underflow Water soaked into the ground over a long period of time springs out from rock surfaces as a waterfall 5m tall and 30m wide.

A great spot to visit if you want to enjoy some natural beauty but don't want to hike up a mountain. The waterfall is an easy walk from the parking lot, and very well maintained. Even on a hot day, being by the water is refreshing and cool.

Short 10 minute walk from the car park. The route is half patched, half through the woods. If you have a good pair of walking shoes or hiking boots that you don't mind getting I sorry. I would bring those, especially if it has rained recently. The waterfalls themselves are beautiful, especially in spring with all the moss growing on the rocks. Plenty of photo spots and some benches to relax. There are a few steps but nothing too taxing on the body. The walk through the woods is mostly kept and you can see into the woodland, but if you have a bell to warn off bears, it might be worth bringing that as well for peace of mind.

Reached late night, couldn't see much, Wish to come back here soon. Parking is available nearby at site. Walking should be little challenging so be careful.

Beautiful series of waterfalls emerging from a cliff face. About 15 minutes from the parking lot along a mostly level path. Surprisingly quite a number of visitors including foreigners and annoying photogs and instgrammers. Respect the nature and don't be too selfish with commandeering a spot for photography.

You don't need a car to visit this scenic spot. Take the orange community bus from Kisakata station to the Kisakata hospital bus stop, and then walk for about 15-20 minutes. You can see both Mototaki and Naso taki by using this bus route.
