Free of charge and very informative. The history of this institution is very important to both the University, but also the city of Sapporo! Many of the exhibits are translated into English. Well worth a visit!

Free museum to enjoy with kids and family. You can join a large exhibition of many interesting topics from engineering, aerospace, science, dinosaurs and technology. The museum is located inside the Hokkaido University and 10m short walking distance from the nearly station. There’s a cafeteria with affordable prices and very yummy cake (so big). I’d recommend anyone to visit this place, free access, super informative and helpful to know more about local people, business and university. Recommended!

There is a nobel-prize winner in Chemistry which is about the Suzuki coupling reaction. This museum also serves a REALLY GOOD ice cream and CAFE LATTE. In my opinion, the best cafe latte i've ever tried in Japan. MUST TRY the cafe latte!!

There was a lot of cool history here! I only went for the Ainu culture stuff but the museum had a wide range of areas. There were parts for education, Ainu history, global warming, science/space, and rocks/minerals. Maybe due to covid, there were a lot of items that were not available due to not being able to touch things. For people who haven't explored much of the world through traveling or media, this is a great place for learn about specific areas or topics that you may not be familiar with. The shop is quite pricey but there are many cool handmade items.

Free museum with considerable amount of artifacts and models. Highly Recommend to anyone who is interested in the university and Hokkaido. In house cafe uses an old classroom and desks as a dining table… great idea!

A very small museum about the history of Hokkaido University, and a showcase of some of their research. Some panels have English translations, but most are just in Japanese. It’s a bit run-down, but it does have free entry.

Great free museum. Not many English translations though. The 3rd floor has all the cool stuff.

Interesting exhibition... It would be desirable if there were more explanations in German or English. Not every visitor can read kanji ...
