Great place to stay in Niseko, especially for a big family. On the 1st floor, there's livingroom and kitchen with an open concept that can easily accomodate 15 people. It also has massive windows all around, allowing natural light to comes in and no obstruction of the beautiful mountain view. The kitchen is fully equiped with 2 stovetops, 2 dishwashers, 2 big fridges, complete utensils, pans/pots, and glassware. Then, there's a huge laundry/mudroom as well. Bedrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floor with bathroom (toilet, tub, shower, sink) in every rooms, allowing full privacy. We took ski lesson with Andrew, who is also managing the property. He is such a friendly guy and fully accomodate our needs during our stay. You can rent the ski gears and outer wear through him, eliminating the stress of finding a ski rental place in the city. Yes, you can rent the gear in the ski area, however, during our stay, Annapuri and Grand Hirafu didn't provide any helmet, gloves, or snow gogles. The property location is great but can be a little bit tricky as it is 9 minutes drive to the city and ski area. So renting a car is probably the best idea, although the property provides a shuttle service as well (check the rate with the property). I wouldn't recommend taking a bus as it is quite unreliable. We will definitely stay here again in the future. I totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy the quietness and relaxing atmosphere without being too far from the city are.

Staying at Hakobune Niseko was a wonderful experience for our family. The accommodation is first class, with heaps of space and everything you could possibly need. But what really made our stay memorable was the staff. Andrew, Meg and their small team were absolutely amazing. Friendly, yet professional, there was simply no ask too big for them. They made our kids feel so welcome, and even hosted a pizza night! I injured myself skiing on Day 1, however they made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. We will never forget their kindness and will be sure to come back next year!

Just WOW . What an outstanding place to stay . The chalet was beautiful and airy with lots of room and high ceilings. We don’t drive , but it is best to hire a car here . Saying that we met the owner Carol and Manager Andrew and his wife , and lovely staff, and they went above and beyond to help us out with transportation, and their local knowledge is just fantastic. There is a beautiful welcoming clubhouse here and you can have your ski gear delivered so you don’t have to queue at the shop . If I could give a 10/5 stars I would, so if you’re thinking of coming to Niseko , come and stay here !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well kept cozy hideaway in rural Niseko, Hokkaido. The high comfort factor combined with easy access to fine local restaurants, well serviced onsens and wonderful Alpine views meant that not a moment was wasted, even when the weather turned unexpectedly. Thankfully we were able to experience one of the many spectacular Alpine treks before the clouds set in which actually added to the mystique. We're so looking forward to a follow up stay during winter where the trekking will be replaced with Alpine skiing after which we will be able to return to a waiting log fire. Our amazing weekend could only be equaled by the amazing service of the staff at Hakobune who were courteous, cheerful and proactive in ensuring our weekend accommodation would be well beyond our expectations.

Visited Niseko in August and stayed at the lovely and charming Hakobune. The chalet is spacious, immaculate, and well-designed. HUGE area for entertaining with massive kitchen island. The high ceilings and beams add to a rustic but modern loft style feel. The clubhouse is warm and inviting. Andrew and staff were incredible and attentive; never steered us wrong. Location is great as it’s conveniently close to all the major mountains. Can’t say enough except that it’s a must-stay! Thank you so much for the warmest welcome, an incredible stay and for making this visit to Niseko most memorable!

Tyler & I absolutely loved our stay here. Everyone was super lovely and so helpful, and even though the snow wasn’t necessarily up to standard it was great to even just hang in the clubhouse and talk with everyone and felt like we were part of a family. We were sad to be leaving! Thank you 🙏

This beautiful chalet was so welcoming and comforting! From the spacious high ceilings to the hospitality, Hakobune went above and beyond my expectations. Every window overlooks the beauty of Niseko. Whether it’s a quiet relaxing day, or a long day on the mountain, coming back to Hakobune is always something to look forward to.

I had wonderful time here. it's in between Niseko village and Hirafu, so I can easily access both places by car. btw, I would highly recommend anyone who wants to stay here to rent a car in advance, as it's so much easier to get about. As for the place, I really like the view looking out. It has a spacious living room and equip with all the amenity and utensils when cooking for ourself. it's also located in a private area, and surrounded by flat land, so we could enjoy mountain view without any blockage. Overall, we enjoyed our holidays here a lot, and couldn't thank Andrew's help more. We will definitely come back when there's a chance.

The view from the living room alone makes this whole trip worth it 🔥. I'm a student, so having a small study desk at one of the rooms was also a huge convenience for me when studying late at night. I can't wait to come back here during the winter! 😅. Everything went really well!
