This is the ropeway station to Mt moiwa, fee is 2,100yen for 2 ways If you wish to go all the way to the mountain top. Need to change to a cable car in mid-mountain. If you are driving, there is a free parking just opposite the station.

The views are ok from the observatory and the cable car + furnicular are nice but would recommend hiking up (would have been our preference had it not been for an injury). The wait in between cable and furnicular / queueing to get on (esp when coming down) wasn't fun!

Moiwa Ropeway prides itself on having one of the best mountain-top views in Japan. Once you’re at the viewing deck at the top you’ll agree that claim is not an exaggeration. To get to the viewing deck, you need to ride the ropeway and cable car that both run every 15 minutes. At the transit of these two, you can do some souvenir shopping. There’s also a hiking trail if you prefer to traverse the forest. Other activities at the viewing deck include (1) buying a love lock and locking it on the rails surrounding the bell, (2) ringing the bell and making a wish, and (3) using a telescope to spot and get an up-close look of famous buildings in the city.

This is the entry point for your journey. There is free and ample parking just opposite this building. At level 1, there is a tv showing the live scenery view at the observation peak so it gives you a chance to decide if you should continue or to abandon plans since you will have to purchase tickets for the ropeway ride + mini cable car ride up to the observation peak. Seeing the great and unobstructed view, we decided to continue and next took a lift from level 1 to level 4 where the ticket counter is.

On Feb 10, 2023, my younger son and I came here. We planned to watch the sunset but we didn’t factor in the waiting time for the tickets and for the 2 - stage short ropeway. It was okay as we didn’t miss much.

Entry to the ropeway. They have a free shuttle bus if you come by Tram! Yust take the tram "Sapporo Shiden" to "Ropeway Iriguchi" and walk a few meters in the direction of the mountain (main road). You'll see an officer with a "fancy lightsword" indicating the vus bay. Get your tickets and enter the cable car every 15 Minutes.

Very cool experience. The gondola goes incredibly quickly! The views are great and the gift shop is nice. The restaurant at the top is very experienced and the café doesn't have a lot of options. I felt a bit rushed into buying a full return ticket with both stops. Would recommend just buying a 1 way and doing the hike instead if you are able to.

The ticket to the top of the mountain is 2,100 yen. It is the most beautiful scenic spot I have ever seen. You can take the city bus to the cable car exit station. Turn left and there is a free bus to go up the mountain.

The ropeway fare was a little expensive, but the night view was beautiful. There is a shuttle bus from the tram station, but the return trip is downhill, so walking is not a problem.

It was very beautiful. I think it's worth going there. How to transfer by tram It's crowded with tourists, so it's a little inconvenient. On the way back, I took a taxi to Sapporo. I reduced the star because it was a little inconvenient.
