👍👍 First food in Japan and this was perfect! The meat was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The egg is a must add and adds a lot more flavor to the dish. The medium size rice is just right (and was actually way more for my wife who watches what she eats unlike me). All the dishes are the... First food in Japan and this was perfect! The meat was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The egg is a must add and adds a lot more flavor to the dish. The medium size rice is just right (and was actually way more for my wife who watches what she eats unlike me). All the dishes are the same price of ¥1500 with the egg adding another ¥100 to it. Cash only! They provided a small cup of cold tea, a bowl of soup at the start as well. They refill the tea but be careful not to fill up on it. Excellent place. Was worth the hype and will definitely go back before we leave Tokyo!

Phenomenal katsudon! The price for a small, medium and large are the same price 1,500yen the size is just determining how much rice you want. My husband had the extra egg (you pay 100yen prior to eating) he loved it. I had the small dish and was a decent amount. It was so crispy and the sauce in the bottom of the bowl was so savory and sweet. You get a small soup and tea served with your meal. There was a line when we arrived but it moves quick. **this is a 8 seater restaurant. Highly recommend!

We came around 10.45am and waited around 45min-1hr. The place is tiny seating around 8-10. We were perched on the counter seats with full view of the chefs cooking. Ordered the katsu + egg (this is a must). As expected, batter was super crispy. The egg was soft. The special part was the sweet sticky sauce that smothered the egg and rice. Overall it was good however I wouldn’t queue up for it again. Delicious but not life changing or memorable.

Totally worth it. This is a tiny and cozy Japanese restaurant, they only have 8 seats. So it is easier to get a seat if you’re going alone. I recommend adding an extra egg to your katsudon (extra 100 yen).

So delicious. I got in line at 12:30 on a Tuesday and sat down at about 2. There were roughly 45 people in line and 8 seats inside. I wanted to savor the food but finished my meal in about 8 minutes. Only 1500 yen for the large order, $10.11 USD at today's exchange rates. Such great value. I just wish there was a way to have a shorter wait. The line wasn't any shorter when I left around 2:30. I personally prefer this to classic Tonkatsu like at Tonki. I think the magic is in the sweet sauce.

I usually despise waiting in line for food, especially in a city with so many different places to visit. But this place, definitely worth the wait! We waited about 30 minutes. While in line they come out to learn your party size and take your order, only one delicious thing is served here so ordering is very simple. Small, medium or large and do you want extra egg? (The answer is yes you do want extra egg) they also have beer available for ¥500. Now down to the good stuff. The Katsu was crunchy and tender, very flavorful. The egg was so good, cooked just how I like it, omelet style with a little big runny. The rice and sauce were great, the perfect amount to compliment the Katsu and egg. They also give a little cup of tea and soup to compliment the meal. Overall, 10/10 and would recommend to my friends. I will also be back when I'm in Tokyo again!

The BEST katsudon I've had the opportunity to eat! Highly recommended Quaint little shop with only one item on the menu..with choice of rice size and with or without egg Highly suggest to take with egg option. once seated, you have to pay 100 yen upfront for the egg and they'll serve you tea and a bowl of miso soup Then you'll wait for your bowl of rice..the meat is tender crispy and just do delicious! I would fly to Tokyo again just for this 🤣🤣

Unbelievable Katsudon. We came here twice during our stay in Tokyo. Easily in the top 3 meals of the trip. This restaurant is open from opening until close (18:00) unlike other spots that often close between around 2 and 5pm. On our first visit, we arrived at 3pm and waited about an hour, but would happily do it again. As reviews have stated, they only serve one item on the menu in Small, medium and large. The only difference in size being the amount of rice that you get. The portion of chicken and egg isthe same. The chicken is tender, perfectly cooked with crispy batter, the most delicious sauce plus egg and rice. My husband and I both opted for a medium size which was plenty, plus a beer each. There is very limited seating so its definitely a get in and get out place. Cash only! Super friendly and accommodating staff.

Super delicious katsudon bowl and the staff was so kind. We were lucky because we only had to wait for 10 minutes (we arrived around 17:15) and the food was prepared freshly in front of us. Would highly recommend and I will for sure return.

Arrived 10 minutes before opening on a Thursday and the line already had ~15 people. The host took everyone’s order outside. Waited for 35 minutes to be seated. The restaurant is very small and tight. There were a couple of times where I had to get out of my seat to let people in or out of their seat. Food was served quickly. The katsu was very crispy even after the sauce and egg was on it. My only critique is that the cutlet was thin, which might have been the reason why the meat wasn’t tender and juicy. Also, I got a medium with an extra egg but I wish I got a large instead. Overall, it was good but not worth queuing for a long time.
